Put ear phones on and have a recording playing a persons voice repeating unpleasant instructions or telling you people are out to get you . Keep the ear phones in and voices playing for at least 12 hours, go and visit friends, do your shopping, go for a bus ride, go to the bank and make a transaction and everytime you go to take the ear phones out because you're having trouble concentrating STOP... YOUR TIME ISN'T UP! Some people even with medication can't totally switch the voices off and some with insight learn to ignore the voices but it's a constant life time struggle.
I've always tried to imagine what ppl diagnosed with this illness go through. Your comment is great at giving insight into what it must feel like...I couldn't imagine 😔 very sad
Thank you. I myself experienced a psychotic episode that lasted several months. That was many years ago. It's impossible to explain just how real those voices are and how many of them. It's impossible to speak or answer a question even if you want to because they simply won't stop or let up.

Completely sad. As much as I love interrogation videos, this one should have never been posted. It's a woman suffering from SEVERE mental health issues. No need to shame her nor embarrass her.
It really is incredibly sad 😢Although I would like to think it does bring awareness. I recently found a really great UA-cam page of someone who has schizophrenia. The gal makes a lot of shorts explaining her day to day life living with it. I think if more people understood schizophrenia better, those suffering from it may feel more comfortable reaching out and not feel as much shame and fear. Just my humble opinion
No one is shaming her or embarrassing her though? I bet you wouldn’t have a problem if it was a guy to be shown with the same symptoms. This is just a learning session for us
I’ve dealt with a person with schizophrenia in my life. It’s scary. They change so much. It’s like a shadow of a person. I remember this person would just sit silent staring at me for a really long time and then would start talking about some staff that happened a decade ago. They also attempted to eliminate themselves several times, and the last attempt was successful. They also wouldn’t take pills for long periods of time. It’s really sad. This is not fair and she should have been appointed a lawyer immediately, not fked around because she is clearly suffering a mental illness and shouldn’t be speaking without one. She pauses because she’s listening to the voices. It’s heart wrenching to watch. 💔
Shes hearing voices in her head ...dude , just charge her & leave her alone , this is just tragic
I am struggling to understand why a Dr is not present as she speaks. She is clearly NOT in a right state of mind. I feel this is a little unfair, even though he's being very gentle with her. She should have a Dr there even if she does not have a lawyer present. She's literally telling them she WANTS to be charged with attempted murder .... I hope she ia OK
Wow this is the best comment and the most accurate way to describe it
That sounds so unpleasant.
That’s sounds horrible 😢
Very true
I've always tried to imagine what ppl diagnosed with this illness go through. Your comment is great at giving insight into what it must feel like...I couldn't imagine 😔 very sad
Thank you. I myself experienced a psychotic episode that lasted several months.
That was many years ago. It's impossible to explain just how real those voices are and how many of them.
It's impossible to speak or answer a question even if you want to because they simply won't stop or let up.
I hope you are doing well ❤
@@AmericanMom1976 Bless you. I'm doing fine, I have never experienced another psychotic episode sine 1992. Thank you for your kind message. 💜
Me too. We are survivors. Total warriors.
This is so heartbreaking and at the same time, the officer's patience with her is phenomenal.
Amazing detective. Very patient and followed through with support and understanding
If all Detectives were like him people wouldn't mind talking. He was so compassionate ❤
This is clearly a psychotic break! This is terrifying to watch. She seems gone.
Her asking the detective if her niece will ever learn about Beatrice wanting to drown her… gets posted on Law & Crime… ooooof. That’s rough. I feel like this interview shouldn’t have been made public.
He's lying though. Her sisters will be able to see this, so is her little niece in the future...I am questioning why this interrogation, with a severly ill person, really should be out there? Yes she committed a crime, but under severe mental illness.
I thought the same thing..
Facts!!!! I was thinking the same thing!
I think the detective showed such compassion and treated her with such respect. I was really moved by how caring he was. It could have been a different out come if he wasn’t so patient.
I think I read she was found not guilty by reason of insanity, I hope she is getting proper treatment for her mental health now and I hope all of the injured people are healing well. When she said she was sometimes unable to take her meds because of insurance.....if she was truly disbarred, maybe she will qualify for disability and and decent care team to make sure that doesn't happen again.
She’ll be in a psych ward for a decade or so, probably won’t help her at all.
She already asked for a lawyer get her a lawyer. You're talking to somebody that's not all there right now why do you keep repeating you're already violating her rights get her an attorney
i feel so bad for her. I hope she gets the help she needs
@@MS-dz8wwI know what page you’re talking about I think
Maybe this will help raise awareness.
No one is shaming her or embarrassing her though? I bet you wouldn’t have a problem if it was a guy to be shown with the same symptoms. This is just a learning session for us
@@ms_emjay17 a day in my life with schizophrenia she also was having issues with medication. ❤
They can’t control themselves during these manic episodes.
@@Список_Швондера "Completed", not "successful".
@@Gree263give the guy a break 😑 if that’s all you got out of the comment that’s sad…
Successful - from Oxford Dictionary- “accomplishing an aim or purpose”; i.e., mission accomplished. You need to check yourself if you are triggered by a certain word.
@@Список_Швондера What a success! Words have power. You won't hear the professionals use the word "successful". Call it what you want, I prefer sensitive expressions.
I also have a relative with it and your description is spot on! They usually don't want to take their medication and talk about the past😪
It breaks my heart to see her struggle to find the words. I can’t imagine your mind betraying you.. lots sad ….
This poor baby. I pray that she gets the help she needs.
Those demons told her not to describe the voices and what they sound like. This woman is being seriously tormented. Somebody came into her life with a demon and that demon jumped on her. She probably caught it while she was in law school.
I think she was too scared to make vocal the sounds in her head. Mercy.
@@maryellis-eagleeyez5321 that's more than one demon 😈 they come in legions and on top of that she is Haitian/Creole known for witchcraft and demons in their religion/background and generational curses
She probably got the demon inside of her like in the scene in “This Is The End”
This interview should had been on hold immediately after hearing she hears voices she needed to be medically evaluated… but rather than that very well done and praying 🙏🏾 they she gets the help she deserves
He needs a different ring tone
It's triggering!
i also felt like his ringtone might not help this situation
No fr😂😂😂😂😂what was that about lol
I’ve never heard someone be so honest during a interrogation
I am beyond impressed by these two people.... Humanity lives! He is so kind, he sees her pain, and it's beautiful to watch his compassion and empathy. My prayer is that she receives the help she needs, and is able live a fulfilling happy life. It is evident she is a brilliant, kind and patient young lady. Bless her heart. My prayer is that she receives the help she needs, and is able live a fulfilling happy life.
These two pictures look like two different people. You can't tell me that's the same person!
This is a tragic story.
For the people she tried to kill indeed
@@modoki666l agree with you here
@@modoki666 For everyone involved.
This is unbelievable. She asked for a lawyer. Give her one! She’s obviously not in her right mind!
For the first time ever watching these interrogations, I feel so sorry for this woman. Poor poor woman. I hope she gets some help.
What these investigators did was extremely important, this interview is exactly what a judge, jury, prosecutor, defense and victims all need to see when dealing with an extremely mentally ill individual recorded in close proximity to the crimes. Bless this woman’s heart and wishing her the best. Well done detectives, this last thing this woman needed was to be immediately placed in a jail cell alone with no one to talk with but her voices!!!! Excellent job Lt.
holy fckkkkkk !! this is so real to so many people ! bi polar isn’t being treated correctly for women children and men , it’s sad. she’s beautiful, she got thru law school did so much with her life she for sure has a chemical imbalances but i’m glad she tried to get help.
There's no such thing as " chemical imbalances " in a brain
This is a great detective interviewing her who demonstrated his amazing skills dealing with this her.
This really made me so sad. So beautiful and successful. She looks like another person.
Beautiful? 😂😂
@@WhiteTheRealQueens she is beautiful.
She is not only beautiful but very eloquent.
I was wondering if she should have had an ‘appropriate adult’ to help her make decisions regarding her right to have/ not have an attorney? This woman is clearly suffering & needs urgent mental health care as an inpatient 😔
I don't think we have those in the US.
This poor woman should have been stabilized first. Unbelievable. My heart goes out to her.

Any words for the victims

@@UndisputedONE2 🤣🤣 lovely hypocrisy
Most of people are feeling sorry for her like she did not tried to ran over and kill people..
Whataboutism is the l*me answer you give when you lack of empathy or being too hypocrite
The cop asking her how many counts of murder she wants to be charged with is disgusting. She’s clearly not mentally sound.
The detective is not in control of what she gets charged with. The judge and the prosecution are responsible for that. I’m gathering from comments that she was sent to a mental hospital not to prison.
They did what they needed to calm her down.
This is so incredibly sad for everyone involved 😢
Schizophrenia is one of the illnesses that shows signs in their twenties or thirties. Such a beautiful young lady, worked hard, dream of a career. Now this illness stole the person she once was.
As soon as she asked for an attorney the first time he should have stopped trying to question her. She is clearly not competent at the moment, so she is incapable of deciding whether to give up her Miranda rights or not.I understand he wants to get answers, but in her current state those answers can’t be trusted.
Doesn't speak to her competency at all...She's an attorney herself. Her intelligence is intact. They did her a favor by interviewing her and showing her true natural state at the time right after the incident. Hence she was placed in a mental facility instead of prison. This video helped
@@LadyCoCoBwaregood point
This detective was amazing with this suspect. Her story is so sad.
This is not new. It is so profoundly tragic. My heart goes out to this poor woman and her family.
This is the difference between law enforcement being trained to handle people having mental health breakdowns and in psychosis.
This is so heartbreaking
He’s so obtuse she doesn’t want to be alone
He's trying to do right by his job without offending her rights
@@laurafennell9084 & he can’t stay in the start but stays for a stretch a bit later.. make it make sense please
It made sense to me
@@laurafennell9084 so you’re saying had he stayed any more time beyond the stretch where he did stay & was just casually waiting & talking to k1ll the time because she had once again asked for a lawyer, that’s the only time he could stay? Any other time it would have offended her rights?
Once you lawyer up, police are supposed to let you speak to your attorney before answering any more of their questions. It's a legal thing. This is why admission get thrown out sometimes as one was not properly Mirandized or the interrogator violated their right to an attorney. While I get she had some stuff going on, his limits are her asking for an attorney and considering she IS an attorney, she knew he would have to stop hence the I wanna talk again followed by him reMirandizing her
She asked to be left alone...where she could speak to an attorney...her constitutional right he was respecting
I am praying for her. I cannot imagine, what she goes through. .
She needs deliverance
@@ultraviolet6989Deliverance is real but so is illness. Would you recommend deliverance for broken legs, diabetes or cancer? Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses are biochemical conditions.

I was holding my breath and could see the wheels turning 😂 ❤
Incredibly sad, it’s one thing for a criminal to want to harm others, it’s another to be unable to stop yourself harming others.
I actually feel really bad for her. I hope the people she hit are doing better and I hope she's doing better. A really sad situation.
It seems like she's just afraid to be alone in the room.
💔
It’s eerie when she admits that she hears voices and then you actually see it happening as she’s sitting there. She’s screaming for help. I hope she has found the help that she needs. 💔 ALSO…I love this officer/detective that’s been questioning her.
Detective; “if we charge you with attempted murder will you sit down?”
Beatriz ; “yes”.
It’s hilarious in a sad way. I think it’s the first time a Detective has been threatened unless someone got more serious charges.
Why is she not allowed to see a doctor, when she obviously needs one?
He should know better than to interview a person with active hallucinations. Any Forensic Psych would immediately get this thrown out of court.
She was found not guilty by reason of insanity.
@@laughinghawk8522and I’m sure this interview was a big factor in that decision by the prosecutor. Interviewing one just after the fact of the crime will prove their mental state at the time of the crime. It’s very relevant to make it happen.
That law enforcement officer is a credit to his profession. Very impressive
She asked for an attorney. Period. Playing with someone who is so very sick. Shame on him!
I don’t think he’s “playing with her.”

This is not fair and she should have been appointed a lawyer immediately, not fked around because she is clearly suffering a mental illness and shouldn’t be speaking without one. She isn’t capable of making the decision herself and therefore the interview should have ended. It doesn’t matter how clear the interviewer is being, she should be appointed a lawyer first without question . Tricking someone with mental health concerns is a violation of her rights .
