I don't get why Nuclear Winter isn't just rotated through among the existing Public Worlds. I'd love to see it running for a month every now and again.
I really think Worlds should have more options for roleplay The roleplay community on 76 is one of the best and some minor adjustments or grand ones would benefit them The following ideas are small ideas that, to me, wouldnt take to much resources to implement since most are just menu adjustments/settings, however there's other more "complex" ideas in the later points: -Being able to remove the "non penalties" that hunger or thirst have just like it was before Lock and Loaded where the game forced you to search for food and water in this SURVIVAL MMO (yeah I get why they would remove it but an option to get it back would be great) -Make certain faction NPCs non agressive: Notice, for example, how they sell bundle after bundle for the blood eagles and yet even if you wanna rp as one they still attack on sight? What about being able to select a faction to being friendly and be one of them? That plus the already existing option that Worlds has of building (almost) ANYWHERE would open tons of fun posibilities specially for the builder community: What about expanding the Clancy Manor with your own Mothman cultist camp? A Blood Eagle camp in Seneca Gang camp? It's full of options. This would also be something you could adjust on the menu so not everyone is a faction member and instead just a selected few can while the others are normal players that still get attacked by said faction. -Give the Flare gun a unique use EXCLUSIVE TO WORLDS: In conjunction with the previous point something that would be neat is giving the flare gun the same function it had on Fo4, selecting a faction on the menu would give the FG the power of calling (spawn near by) NPCs of said faction to assist you or be near you, sure they would die almost instantly in an event, but that would be a neat idea that helps on the roleplay aspect. -(like T0nik already mention) Bigger servers and server browser: If you've played Conan Exiles you probably know what's this about, first of all for server browsing to work we would need at least 16 players per server unlike the 8 we can have at a single time with 24 being optimal. The server browser option would allow players to search for a specific server either with a code, name of the creator or functions (building, faction RP, difficulty, etc) and join to said world, the camp(s) of the "owner" would be active at all time and the rules would be set up by him/she. These last 2 points are more hypoteticals that something that I think would be possible since they would probably take months if not years to integrate but still a thought
I enjoy both of them, Nuclear Winter was one of my favorite BRs but Fallout Worlds has let me do a lot of testing that I would not have been able to do otherwise, they should just add NW back in, I also miss Survival mode, as stupid as it was 😆
IMO, what is needed is to progress the story further. Let's see some Freestaters that survived come back. Maybe some members of the Enclave returned to the Whitespring Bunker. How about some instanced stuff where we can side with raiders or settlers vs the other faction(s)...
To be honest I have to agree , my own personal use for Fallout worlds has mainly been for recording content, testing weapons and testing builds for videos to save on resources on my public server. I also feel modding was a feature that was originally purposed for the future but could never really be properly implemented because of the background work that would have had to go into it on public severs … but !! With Fallout worlds basically laying the framework for that to happen , time and focus was being put into other projects like , expeditions, nuka world on Tour, Starfield etc.. that we’re now at a point where that possibility is probably going to materialise near the end of the life cycle of the game. In regards to Nuclear Winter… 10,000% YES!!! I would love to see them add it back in place of the public custom worlds because quite frankly they removed NW because it wasn’t getting the player count they anticipated.. but considering they have all the data in front of them I’m pretty sure Fallout Worlds has less players than what Nuclear Winter ever did 👀 Which leads me to believe… out of pure speculation of course that Nuclear Winter will definitely make a come back in some way shape or form , or at least some dedicated pvp mode. Personally it’s a shame to see any project or feature not live up to the expectations intended for it but if we’re measuring straws here, I think Fallout worlds needs to step aside and let something else take it’s place that will work for everyone 😊 Great video dude and great points raised ❤
Im a returning player since around Nuclear Winter release, and i didn’t play the game solely for NW however being able to change it up from the constant event burn out and boring “end game” boss fights that last 20 seconds would be a great change up , so i for one would absolutely love to see NW returned, and even when i returned to play after 2 almost 3 years it’s sad to see that game mode was removed. Bethesda just doesn’t care either so i wouldn’t get hopes up much, it doesn’t make them money they won’t do it. Even if it’s out of good will for the community. Period.
I agree, I think Bethesda should do what Battlefield did with 2042 on the Portal Mode. Make it to where you can do whatever you please & make old Fallout 3 eras and such without limitations on XP
I use Worlds whenever I want to try something new, whether is a new build or gun I'd like to test, a camp rework... anything that if I end up not liking, I can just go back to Adventure and nothing has changed
The progression not being carried over was the exact reasoning I was going to give in the poll and the possible character progression options that Tonik mentions are the exact same ones I was thinking of myself, if we could think of the same solution to this particular problem, why hasn't it been implemented into the game 🤔😮💨
Bethesda’s justification for removing Nuclear Winter was low player count. I’m just wondering why Bethesda is keeping Worlds around… No one is playing Worlds where at least some people played NW.
This is going to sound harsh but it's a game mode that was created for 76 content creators. Bethesda took away Nuclear Winter so that influencers could create free advertising.
If I use Worlds, it's only for photomode days, recording camp builds, or to help myself with the level up score challenges (even then it is rare). I think Worlds would definitely benefit so much from the server search function you mentioned! It'd be the best of both worlds if they brought back NW and keep the Fo1st worlds, just so there are varied modes for everyone to pick and choose from. One dedicated public adventure world, one private world, a battle mode, and then custom.
Honestly that is the same reason I use the Custom Worlds is for testing weapons and doing some recording for those test. I would love to see NW come back in some fashion. I wonder if they could rotate it in from time to time like how they change the public worlds up. That way it would give people a chance to try NW out to see if they like it and then maybe commit to bringing it back.

Am I correct that there’s not even a way to transfer saved camp blueprints into the public server? Because that really seems like a feature that’s absolutely the perfect use case for it. Building a perfect CAMP player home without requiring mats, saving it, and/or separate parts of a build (entrance, crafting area, defenses, etc) as a blueprint, and then taking it into the actual server, where you can then place those prefabbed blueprints, but now you have to pay the mats.
Fallout Worlds had potential but no one at Bethesda wanted to capitalize on that. A game mode where every detail could be tweaked, swapping health bars and damage types between creatures, creating custom events, or just choosing what spawns and disabling the rest. Unfortunately like most of what Bethesda touches rarely will older content get an update if it isn't removed for something shiny and new, why teak old systems when replacing them is better. Nuclear Winter just needed new maps, more neat perk cards, and a few challenging enemy spawn types to keep players on their toes. As much as I hate Fortnite taking over the gaming landscape it never stopped reinventing itself and continued to offer more varied content. Nuclear Winter was made in response to game types like Fortnite, and failed to learn any of it's lessons. Survival Mode dropped before that and was our answer to PvP and more Hardcore gameplay, but broken healing systems, overpowered weapons and exploiting spawn points meant that anyone could punish players who didn't stealth and hide throughout every minute of play. Nothing was ever fixed, anything too time consuming to tweak and perfect; was tossed aside for a New mechanic or game type. And I can't really see Fallout Worlds staying in this game much longer.
If they had unique time locked rewards that can carry over to adventure would be better. So for instance otw to level 50 or 100 can get camp rewards unique rewards etc
The problem with these alternate game modes like worlds and NW is that they don't get support. They release it and expect it to be enough. If they added more maps and game modes to NW I'm certain the game would have a bigger player base. They just claimed it to be dead but didn't realize it was Bethesda themselves that pulled the trigger by neglecting it. I can see them take the same route for Worlds. They rather update the atom shop every month instead of putting effort in these game modes. From a bussiness standpoint I understand but if you want players to keep playing the game they need to freshen things up. Adding 5 quests once a year isn't going to cut it, well not for me at least.
If they made it so you could open lobbies of custom games publicly then yeah it might work out, but tbh I'd rather they bring in a pvp mode or something actually engaging.
Surprisingly after saying i quit fallout 76 on xbox i had switched to PS5 and got fallout again to play it cause i had nothing else to do, it’s like i’m playing it for the first time again and i’m loving every second of it.
At least for nuclear winter, they made it a requirement for scoreboard points so players had to join. If it was available as a reroll then maybe there'd be less players that what little there was. As a business model, they just need a way to monetize whatever they come up with if they want it sustainable.
I hope they add nuclear winter back I never got the chance to play it. If they did add it back, they could even add nw to the custom mode so that people could have custom br games similar to cod
The non cross progression is the big reason I almost never use it. I think they are cool to play around with and I wouldn't necessarily want them gone, but if I don't get to keep my progress it feels like I'm wasting my time. I like the idea of bringing back nuclear winter instead of the changing public server. I think that'd make a lot of people happy.
Worlds was a GREAT idea, and still is, they just half-assed like the rest of the game. They hardly have enough rules to make good custom game modes etc.
I think if they had added fallout worlds in the very beginning it would have been looked differently. Just like theirs minecraft creative and survival world
I have played the beta for Nuclear Winter and by the time I got full game recently I have been confused why it wasn't there. They need to bring it back with a couple of new maps and other improvements and just keep it there. Why would you remove content from your game?
I created a World once...I thought maybe I'd build an epic camp or something just for fun but just after I got started, I realized it's not very fun if I can't show it off to anyone. I think there's content creators who can take advantage of it, they can make camps that aren't possible in Adventure and put it up on YT and get some cash for views, and maybe I should consider doing that...but I'm not that talented if I'm being honest. I thought World was an utter failure at launch, and none of my friends have done more than load a map, take a look around, shrug and log out - same as me. I'm not very good at PvP, but I would have much preferred Nuclear Winter to remain in lieu of getting a completely useless map mode.
Ya T0nik I use Fallout worlds because I hate players for the most part they are a holes doing, a hole stuff it's rare I meet just a good guy player type. So I find myself enjoying soloing on my private FO1st world. And I am a big camp builder with 3 FO1st accounts and maxed camp slots and char per account means I have LOTS camps I can build. I am currently working making the OP's instant zone the Arena. Which of course means I need to make camp size MAX to build it. So that is the only reason I use Worlds either to build, or play alone.
I played Nuclear Winter multiple times and had fun with it when I did. Fallout Worlds? I maybe did it once or twice, I just do not see the point of it besides some weapon/legendary effect testing.
Ive never played it ever saw a point to playing the bethesda ones if your just gonna get your progress wiped and my custom one i loaded up once and just thought why i would play a private server with just me when i could play with my freinds
Let’s be honest worlds is good for working out how many rolls it takes to get certain effects on weapons or armour I still wish stash box’s were bigger or unlimited and degradation was removed on adventure the Pitt is a waste of time new daily ops would be better this year feels like 76s last gasp unless they put in a wastelanders size up date it’s on its way out

Analysis 2024- It still amazes me the Misinformation spread and posted about Nuclear Winter from players and devs - TRUTH: The match would not start unless there were 21 players in the lobby - I played every day (lvl 309) and less then 10 times were there less than 21 players. I have 500+ players on my friends list and 98% of them played NW. We NEVER asked the devs for new content and accepted the 'beta' as is - We ignored the cheaters/hackers and numerous glitches...We just wanted to play NW!!! Nice video👍
Nuclear winter satisfied the pvp player base and also rewarded non pvp players with a bit of caps and xp. Every match was at least 300 caps if you lived for a while. Problem was the afkers. Also they never updated the mode. The worlds has no incentive to play it because nothing carries. Only good for testing builds and that's it in my opinion
The whole point of this game is to hoard stuff and grind xp or currency. Since progression in Fallout Worlds is not saved its a waste of time and efort. Its only useful for testing.
I don't use worlds and nuclear winter was stupid and always empty and only about 10 people want it back. They should just put more time in the main game and screw every other mode
pve gear would get nerfed because of pvpers whining it's op in pvp, just like in every single pve based game that has pvp tacked on, from destiny to conan exiles an so on, i'm glad pvp isn't really a thing in 76 but if the devs weren't lazy about it an edited pvp gear seperately whilst leaving pve gear alone i'd be ok with them adding it for the pvpers
I think it would be cool if they did a survival game mode truly hardcore like a world where it's always snow almost like a perma death/ Nuclear Winter.
The problem with NW wasn't its popularity. It was that the devs did not have the an power to support it. A Pvp mode needs its own development team (much like the ATX Shop has). Unfortunately Todd Howard cannot afford to give us more devs, because Starfield and ES6 will pretty much swallow every dev in Todds disposal.
fallout world's is pointless and plus even if you do change the difficulty none of that progress gets transferred to your main character in adventure mode so a complete waste of time
Clicked on video just to comment yes it's a failure. Just a cheesey way to expand the map give us a real map extension more solo content and zone chat.
I hated Worlds... Nuclear Winter or not. Worlds is a total waste of time outside of couple niche groups, and any development that is a waste of players time is a waste of assets and time and money and energy. Worlds is dumb. It never delivered. All that time and effort could have been better spent on making a better expeditions system, or some kind of actual, meaningful content contribution to the game. The game is pretty dead in the water in it's current state, unless you're brand new to the game. That's a smaller, and smaller group of people. When "new" player interest finally dies off, the game will be sunset. Mark my words.
If they removed Custom Worlds, I would stop playing. Building in the Adventure World just flat out sucks. Besides, it would save me some money every month as the American Economy is in the toliet.

We lost Nuclear Winter for Worlds, just think what that could have done with all the effort that went into NW. I'm not a PvPer but I had fun with NW.

So I find myself enjoying soloing on my private FO1st world. And I am a big camp builder with 3 FO1st accounts and maxed camp slots and char per account means I have LOTS camps I can build. I am currently working making the OP's instant zone the Arena. Which of course means I need to make camp size MAX to build it. So that is the only reason I use Worlds either to build, or play alone.
I played Nuclear Winter multiple times and had fun with it when I did. Fallout Worlds? I maybe did it once or twice, I just do not see the point of it besides some weapon/legendary effect testing.

Ive never played it ever saw a point to playing the bethesda ones if your just gonna get your progress wiped and my custom one i loaded up once and just thought why i would play a private server with just me when i could play with my freinds
Let’s be honest worlds is good for working out how many rolls it takes to get certain effects on weapons or armour I still wish stash box’s were bigger or unlimited and degradation was removed on adventure the Pitt is a waste of time new daily ops would be better this year feels like 76s last gasp unless they put in a wastelanders size up date it’s on its way out
my only interest is Nuclear winter, most of my friends list is Nuclear Winter. Since the update on removed hacked items shouldn't the mode be safe again?

Analysis 2024- It still amazes me the Misinformation spread and posted about Nuclear Winter from players and devs - TRUTH: The match would not start unless
there were 21 players in the lobby - I played every day (lvl 309) and less then 10 times were there less than 21 players. I have 500+ players on my friends list and 98% of them played NW.
We NEVER asked the devs for new content and accepted the 'beta' as is - We ignored the cheaters/hackers and numerous glitches...We just wanted to play NW!!!

Nuclear winter satisfied the pvp player base and also rewarded non pvp players with a bit of caps and xp. Every match was at least 300 caps if you lived for a while. Problem was the afkers. Also they never updated the mode. The worlds has no incentive to play it because nothing carries. Only good for testing builds and that's it in my opinion

The whole point of this game is to hoard stuff and grind xp or currency. Since progression in Fallout Worlds is not saved its a waste of time and efort. Its only useful for testing.
I think they should add some kind of pvp mode so you can actually use your gear against something other then npcs lmfao
I don't use worlds and nuclear winter was stupid and always empty and only about 10 people want it back. They should just put more time in the main game and screw every other mode

pve gear would get nerfed because of pvpers whining it's op in pvp, just like in every single pve based game that has pvp tacked on, from destiny to conan exiles an so on, i'm glad pvp isn't really a thing in 76 but if the devs weren't lazy about it an edited pvp gear seperately whilst leaving pve gear alone i'd be ok with them adding it for the pvpers
I think it would be cool if they did a survival game mode truly hardcore like a world where it's always snow almost like a perma death/ Nuclear Winter.

The problem with NW wasn't its popularity. It was that the devs did not have the an power to support it. A Pvp mode needs its own development team (much like the ATX Shop has). Unfortunately Todd Howard cannot afford to give us more devs, because Starfield and ES6 will pretty much swallow every dev in Todds disposal.

fallout world's is pointless and plus even if you do change the difficulty none of that progress gets transferred to your main character in adventure mode so a complete waste of time

There is literally no point playing in FO worlds
I hated Worlds... Nuclear Winter or not. Worlds is a total waste of time outside of couple niche groups, and any development that is a waste of players time is a waste of assets and time and money and energy. Worlds is dumb. It never delivered. All that time and effort could have been better spent on making a better expeditions system, or some kind of actual, meaningful content contribution to the game. The game is pretty dead in the water in it's current state, unless you're brand new to the game. That's a smaller, and smaller group of people. When "new" player interest finally dies off, the game will be sunset. Mark my words.

Fallout Worlds is pointless.
Was fun for about 2 1/2 seconds.
If they removed Custom Worlds, I would stop playing. Building in the Adventure World just flat out sucks. Besides, it would save me some money every month as the American Economy is in the toliet.
