- A Russian Ka-52 killer chopper takes to the sky and carries out combat operations against Ukrainian targets.
The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) said Ka-52 and Mi-28 multi-purpose attack helicopters were used in the mission.
The Russian military also claimed that they managed to destroy key command posts and a number of armoured vehicles.
The MoD said on 20th May: “Ka-52 reconnaissance attack and Mi-28 multi-purpose attack helicopters crews during the special military operation.
“Aviation crews continue to carry out tasks to destroy armoured vehicles and military infrastructure facilities of the AFU [Armed Forces of Ukraine], escort military convoys, deliver airborne troops and military cargo, and provide air support to units carrying out tasks within the framework of the special operation.
“As a result of the next combat missions, command posts and armoured vehicles of the AFU units were destroyed.”
Meanwhile, following the fall of the port city of Mariupol, the Russian authorities plan to tear down the Azovstal metallurgical plant and turn the city into a “resort”, according to the Institute for the Study of War.
The Kremlin also says that the Ukrainian fighters from the Azovstal plant have been taken to a former prison colony in a Russian-controlled part of Donetsk.
Russia’s defence ministry said 771 Ukrainian fighters from the steelworks had surrendered up until 19th May, taking the total to 1,730, and 80 of the fighters were wounded.
However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Russia's invasion of Ukraine an "absolute failure" and said Russian leaders were afraid to acknowledge "that catastrophic mistakes were made at the highest military and state level".
Zelenskyy also said that said Ukraine is determined to reclaim control over the southern cities of Kherson, Melitopol, Berdiansk, Enerhodar and Mariupol, now occupied by Russian forces.

For everyone saying it's a Mi-28 and not a Ka 52, yes in the thumbnail it's a Mi-28 but later in the video they show the Mi-24 and the Ka-52 too.
Yes there’s 1 ka in it but not in battle or shooting it was only flying the only helis shooting were mi28, In The video at all only mi17 flying, ka 52 flying and mi 28 shooting and mi24 taking off so the video title is completely wrong

Not a ballistic curve. Ballistic curve is parabolic under only effects of gravity. The rocket has thrust though so initial burn phase is not ballistic. After the rocket has burnt out it is ballistic.

When Russia shows faces of soldiers, than it means they are far away from combat zones. It also means that Russia is hiding their helicopter in Russia, knowing every chopper close to Ukrainian artillery fire will be roasted.
The next point here is the these helicopter pilots use hit and climb tactics to prevent AA-counterfire. This is like driving in a car and shoot an arrow to target.
Also the 2nd laser guided missiles looks pretty inacurate from this distance. It's just made for Russian television. In real, Russian helicopters are scared as hell to enter Ukrainian soil.
Once they got hit, there is no ejection seat. They got one with the soil.

@@antfox7747 Да за время всего конфликта сбито всего два вертолета Ка-52 и один вертолет Ми-24/35, пилоты не пострадали, видео разрекламировали ВСУ, но они же его в воздухе не уничтожили, а значит задачу он выполнил, кстати благодаря украинскому видео посыпались иностранные заказы на данную машину, бесплатную рекламу сделали.
Это данные министерства обороны США, они есть в открытых источниках, там же приведены потери ВВС Украины которые выглядят очень печально.

@@michaeltillman5158 the mi2 is a 1950's helicopter that has a single rotor, and is very small and was built in Poland too. If you mean the Mi28, then no it also has a single rotor. But the Kamov Ka-52 has counter-rotating rotors, and has an ejection seat (it's the only helicopter that has an ejection seat), and if you're wondering how can the pilot eject with the rotors, their are explosive bolts that remove the rotors during an ejection.

May I point out that the choppers are Mi-28s and Mi-24s and what appears to be an Mi-17 as well a Mi-8 and Ka-52s
This is not the Mi-24, this is the Mi-35M (small wings, 4 tail rotor blades, landing gear do not retract), the Russian Air Force does not use the Mi-17 (Mi-17 is an export version of the Mi-8 European airworthiness standard) on the video Mi-8 AMTSH and Mi-8 MTV-5

Who knows if those unguided missiles will even be close to hitting their targets. They're afraid to get close since they know that they will most likely be shot down by UA Forces. They also use KA-52 to shoot blindly unguided missiles the same way.

Yes there are Mi-8 and KA-52 which are seen for a short duration but most of the video is of Mi-28 (not Mi-24).

A fool? Have you heard about heat traps? If they gave you a Stinger and put a Ka-52 against you, I would bet on the Russians. One burst from the helicopter's automatic cannon, and your Stinger (like yourself) will shatter into pieces. The same as the Taliban and the soldiers of INDEPENDENT Iraq shot down AH64. And 1993, Somalia, Mogadishu. Two Black Hawks lost and most importantly - from the old RPG-7 and Somali beggars soldiers.

Actually what you said is ironic because most Russian Attack Helicopters have an ejection seat to save the pilots whereas in western attack helicopters once your shot down you go up again to meet God.

Finnish state-owned energy company Gasum Oy announced on Friday that Russia's Gazprom will end its supply contract Saturday, May 21 at 7 am local time. Gasum stated it will import gas from other sources through the Balticconnector pipeline, assuring that its filling stations will continue normal operation.
"It is highly regrettable that natural gas supplies under our supply contract will now be halted. However, we have been carefully preparing for this situation and provided that there will be no disruptions in the gas transmission network, we will be able to supply all our customers with gas in the coming months," Gasum CEO Mika Wiljanen said.

Yes they shot down one. Actually it landed due to mechanical failure and after being abandoned the Ukrainians shot it. Oh and they shot one down in ARMA 2
I saw 1 KA 52 that was shot by a manpad. It actually dodged multiple missiles before finally getting hit which is very impressive as usually aircrafts can’t do much in low altitudes against missiles and MANPADS. The pilots actually landed it on a field safely and got out. The cockpit view is available on UA-cam.

its called lofting, they then land in the general area where troops are and then the rockets disorient them

Yes, if the unguided rockets designed and shot same way by NATo pilots it's a pure waist of ammunition. But not in the case of Russian made.

It increases the range of the rockets but is totally inaccurate, they do this because of the fear of being shot down, not that it helps much there is a video of other helicopters doing this and one of them is still shot down.

Firing blindly in the air is not engaging in ukrainian Military targets but most likely civilian targets: the employment of this tactic demonstrates that Russia is not only losing the war but that it has already lost air supremacy.
They arent firing blindly lol, they have a target system telling them at which angle to shoot from, which height to hit a target with unguided missiles in the distance

really good footage this is first time ive seen them use the S13 130mm unguided rocket pods they are beasts. Always see them use the S8 80mm.
