Red Arrows Cockpit view over Central London

The Armed Forces have led the nation in commemorating the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe
The Red Arrows led the tributes with a breath-taking flypast over Central London.

In the summer of 68 we moved from Akrotiri to Syerston. The Red Arrows seemed to have followed us. I was walking over the empty football fields to the NAAFI when they decided to do a mass low pass. I don't think they'd seen the 12 year old in the middle of the field. I kept on walking as if it was a daily occurrence but it was damned impressive. I get the goosebumps recalling that few seconds over 50 years ago. Never, ever disband them.

London is quite flat to be honest. Not so many high rise buildings at all when looking from above and a lot of green areas which is good.
