You and your dog are so lovely, it's great what you said about your parents - spending as much time as you can with them is the best thing as you will treasure those moments/memories later in life. I have read atomic habits and it's an excellent book. Reading fiction is very good for the brain apparently - so my tip if you want to get into reading fiction is to find fiction books on subjects that genuinely interest you, and then your imagination will take over and do what it naturally does. I think gadgets be they smartphones or tablets have impacted our ability to imagine, but practice makes anything perfect and automatic if you're consistent and persevere.
Lego building is so fun but time consuming but you feel so accomplished when its done! I'm in the process of moving out and I feel you on wanting to be close to your parents! I feel like it's one of the things that will be the hardest for me.
