MashaAllah guys this topic was 🔥👌🏽 Rami - welcome to the realisiation of mortality 🙃 It hits hard and is epically depressing. But alhamdulillah, we get these reminders to remind us that we are nomads in this dunya. “Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler along a path.” Ibn Umar would say, “If you make it to the evening, do not wait for the morning. If you make it to the morning, do not wait for the evening. Take from your health for your sickness, and from your life for your death.” The interactions and relationships you have with people, whether your family or friends, make them meaningful because we truly don't have time, and hope InshaAllah you will all be able to meet again in the hereafter. - You guys are super young MashaAllah (Rami still a baby lol MashaAllah) and the 20s are when you really learn alot more deeply about yourselves, add kids in that equation and you'll unlock another version you didn't know existed lol -we are our own biggest supporters and our own biggest critics unfortunately 😂 but you can use that self criticism to aim for perfection, even though its something we'll never be able to achieve it will keep you focused. -Theres such a stigma in the Asian community especially of getting mental help and this is such a cause for generational trauma. I would always advise to try and find Muslim therapist because they can also guide from a deen perspective. - women be careful when getting therapy from some Muslim female therapists as they can be heavily in the feminist mindset and can actually become detrimental in your healing and progression. - Anghel lay off the coffee bro lol 😂 May Allah bless you guys as always ameen.
I was heavily abused as a child and can really relate to what Angel has to say. There are moments I cant even fathom the level of anger I’ve exhibited not to mention the crippling sadness and fatigue brought on by the most pathetic gestures/actions done against me. I’m still dealing with this till this very day (i’ve seen a massive improvement after marriage) and I hope that Allah will cure me.
Wallahi I know what the brother goes through about forgetting his train of thought all the time. When someone is an extremely deep thinker and over ponders and over reflects about life and nuances of life their minds can get lost in thought. I also suffer from this. It's like you are so subconscious of trying to articulate yourself to make others understand you and as your trying to explain your nuanced stance you slip down other mental rabbit holes and then you've completely lost the thought. This can also come from deep and immense suffering the person has had. However I totally understand what the brother goes through. One thing that really helps me with this is reading everyday... just read 30min or more everyday and you will regain some cognition and you will be able to feed yourself some stimuli which requires your cognitive faculties and you will find over time traveling through a mental discourse with people will be easier and you will be able to stay on queue because you will stop yourself from over pondering and over reflecting from a lot of thought and you will be reading and satisfying yourself mentally which will cut back on the random mental surfing people like him and myself get caught into on a daily basis. May Allah protect you brothers.
Very true. Instead of seeking distractions, sitting down and asking ourselves why we're feeling what we're feeling and getting to the root of the emotions really help get you through whatever it is we're going through - and of course, seeking patience and steadfastness from Allah (ﷻ). Personally, I don't feel comfortable confiding in strangers, even if they are a licensed therapist. I mean, I don't even tell all of my problems to my closest friend. I consider Allah (ﷻ) closer than any friend I could have in this world so I prefer only showing my vulnerability to Allah (ﷻ). Alhamdullilah, through Islam, Allah (ﷻ) reconciled my relationships with family that I once thought were beyond reconciling.

21:50 I don't want to argue with Faiyad's point as he is talking from experience, but isn't there a hadis about anger "“If one of you is angry while he is standing, let him sit down so his anger will leave him; otherwise, let him lie down.” and I'm afraid someone will interpret it as it ok to cursing out when you're angry. Wallahu alam sorry if I'm wrong. I want to manage anger too.

Personally I have just went back into high school from full time hifz
I wasted a lot of time when I was doing full time hifz ; looking back if I actually utilized that time correctly I would be completed with my hifdhul quraan
But subhanallah I have 12 juz left to complete but I have been struggling to find time to worry about my mental; physical health and all around just worry about my self improvement journey
Astaghfirullah I have even been struggling with my Salah may Allah guide me
But I would really like to hear your guys advice cause I have always heard advice from non Muslims but maybe I would find more benefit from your guys advice as you are also Muslims alhamdulilah
May Allah guide this message to you guys in a wonderful manner and may he bless us all Ameen
Please avoid that fairy sound. It doesn’t fit guys.
