People wait months to get reservations into the worlds best restaurants. Let me repeat it's free authentic cooked food probably highlighted before hand that it is also a show to gauge the contestants capabilities. It's a competition. It's also an experience. U don't go into the fear factor show and kick a person off the cliff cos it takes too damn long. They didn't leave the customers to die. To be unattended. There were professionals on the floor to assist. Probably some starters given to fill the customer like bread or what nots. They were serve free wine. 3hrs in an air condition room. Wtf.
@@Will11111 Your validity on having yet to make a presence in America as u term visit or having to be born in it, seems ignorant as to how many sources of news and research out there is on the internet of the country. Or any country I might add. Or any preferences of interest.
We don't live in a bat cave mate as much as your bombastic nature of words to reply shows you are and can be a well verse educated conversationalist.
To reiterate your point of not being present to experience the anti-america I projected, you were not in Hell's Kitchen as a guest nor a contestant. Or perhaps even met Gordon or dine in his restaurant. No media entertainment were built on politeness or lack of dramatic conflicts. It is called entertainment for a reason. It's like a judge in a singing competition will say you sound like a dying frog.
With possibly 200 hundred starving guests, Gordon's trying to handle, guide, discipline, satisfy running back and forth probably having to communicate to the camera crew, contestants, ground staff and to explain the situation to customers and apologise at the same time (you don't show behind the scenes). Needless to say no one wants to hear Gordon apologising 247 for half of the show and even if he did, we would have narcissistic customers holding their free wine telling him to fuck off instead. Which buying pizza is a definite fuck off. Fine dining restaurants will have their waiters or service staff check in you and update you on waiting time. It's not self service counter at KFC or Mickey Ds.
Before u jump into another wagon calling me Anti-Fastfood, how about you untie your narrow minded brain & stop feeling sorry for a customer who's told to fuck off after getting a nice air conditioned free food and expensive wine. Cos theres people who don't even get close to having those luxuries, probably outcasted in society and not even having enough money to eat gets told to fuck off everyday.
Also professionalism means the competence or skill expected of a professional which means as a designated Chef Gordon is doing his role in the kitchen as he should be, the customers seeking that service professionalism on the ground should seek the restaurant manager.
Long winded cos this discussion stems from the inconherent logic of siding hungry customers then perhaps debating on the skills of the contestants and the chef guiding them. Not to mention hot fires and sharp knifes right.
Oh yeah the customer also insulted and talk down on Jean Philippe saying he didnt even go to school right. But no let's pretend like we didnt see that cos it's ok they waited a solid 3 hrs.

You got that right on so many levels. 😂

you cant do much with a degree in music or even contribute to society lol
Gael Perez-Rolon you can do quite a bit with a music degree, such as writing film scores, playing with professional orchestras, and even teaching, but it's not worth getting a doctorate in unless you want to teach at a very high level
Still willing to bet Jean-Philippe has the better education
so educated that he confused “good manners” with “studies titles”, a fuckin genius
2:23 Jean - Phillipe looks so confident when he says “I do have an education.”
He meant manners, in Europe lots of languages use the same word for manners and academic knowledge
@@DragonFly-qm4vh italian here, can confirm
I like that Gordon doesn't throw his chefs under the bus. Just said it was a "rough night." He might yell at them, but he won't leave em out to dry.
I’m pretty sure people have to sign forms to eat in the program right? I heard that it says on the form that the waiting time is unspecified
@@Denturess yes but 2 hours and 45 minutes for food? Even if it was free that's a long time. Also someone mentioned that they are told to act like they paid for the food

Me: "That's an interesting way to say you're unemployed."
Never ever mess with JP. He watches Gordon insults other people that the insults just absorbs in his brain
The guy was willing to let the insult go until his friends started telling him whether he would take it or not. Says a lot about his social confidence
Right.
And the types of friends he has
“Did he really just say that!?” It’s almost like they see servers as robots unable to compute any response other than “Yes” and “right away”.
"Hey, you can't bring other food in here. Not only is it just against the rule, but it's a health and safety issue."
"Are you kidding? I'm hungry 😭"
yeah so hungry that you were able to wait for delivery instead of just going somewhere else where service would have been faster.
I can’t believe there was no one to tell them it was illegal to bring food in. And stop them.
Bruh if they didn’t want to wait they should’ve just left and got the damn pizza instead of being total pricks. The nerve of some people…
Like bruh. If your hungry and if they are taking forever leave. Don't disrespect the restaurant ordering take out.
@@genosesate447 Hey, you can't say that. I hear he has a doctorate in music.
He literally could’ve left 😭
So lemme get this straight, customers can just... order pizza's from some fast food joint, and bring it in the restaurant?
Thats not just being douchy, thats just plain disrespectful to the chef's - and he uses this "im a doctorate" as an excuse to get what he wants
Grade A little turd
Actually, he used the doctorate excuse for when he was insulted over his way of speaking

Its barely worth anything if he thinks he's high and mighty to win the argument
How is that disrespectful they were hungry and the chefs were taking forever to cook the damn food what were they supposed to do sit and wait till they’re food came Um no if they wanna bring pizza that’s there decision not JP and especially not that 🍆 Gordon it’s not a law so obviously they can do whatever tf they want period point blank
@@jengarcia9787 lmao. But they're in someone else's restaurant. It's disrespectful. If they're unsatisfied, they can leave and eat their pizza somewhere else. The restaurant is Gordon's. And if the rules of the restaurant says "no outside food", then they have to abide.
@@jengarcia9787 As long as the customers were in Gordon's restaurant, he and JP had every right to. And they can kick out those customers too.

Yup just because you have a degree doesn’t make you smart.
Look at this guy with a so called degree ordering pizza and having it delivered to the restaurant.

The university of Southern California isn’t a school that is known for their music program so it basically means shit that he has “doctorate” from that school.
A doctorate in music is actually quite impressive, no matter which school you get it from. The problem is this guy was being a dickhead and mentioning it. Capable, intelligent people don't go around yapping about their credentials. It's cheesy.
If his degree was from Berklee School Of Music I's actually be impressed because he'd have actually achieved something but getting his degree where he got it screams: "my rich parents paid for my schooling, so I picked something that sounds serious but isn't".
Yeah it's different if you went to something more prestigious like Juliard
The school & the subject are irrelevant. Intelligence is more than having a qualification in one subject. I’ve met people with degrees that know fuck all outside of their chosen field.

Like seriously Jean was about to use 10% of his power
imagine if jean yelled there, every glass in the restaurant would explode
I know they are on the same team, but I daresay Chef Ramsay himself might hesitate to anger such a powerful and distinguished man as the one and only Jean Phillipe.

My dad is a Bruin, and hates USC. He calls it the University of Second Choice or University for Spoiled Children.
I’m undoubtedly using that from now on. Tell your dad a stranger on the internet said cheers for the laugh
The fact that he got a doctorate in music already tells me he's a privileged trust fund baby who spend a bucket load of money to get a useless degree.
thats facts my mom is also a Bruin alumni
California in general is roasting yourself. Why tf would you wanna there? Let alone for an education.
@@DivineAtheistWannabe my old director from college had that degree and he was one of the most successful person I've met. This guy made so much money too it was crazy. So I wouldn't say it's useless. If he made more money than an electrician and mechanic and he did something he loved. Which us music. I'd say it's not useless. However just having a degree doesn't mean anything either. But he worked hard and showed just how good he really is in his work
I love how Gordon says things similar to "Don't you dare yell at the team. Only I yell at the team."
