I don’t know there was an action figure line, just knew about the Burger King kids meal toys.
I love that you specified that Teddy’s World of Wonder was not the same as RuPaul’s World of Wonder. As a teenager, when Supermodel came out, I was just certain it was the same company, and found it fascinating the difference in their cassette output was from 80s to 90s.
Almost mentioned the BK figures because I love, LOVE flocking but they scaled a bit smaller

@gaytiestoys Don't jump on the first one you find, they always overprice the Airship playset. I got a used one for like 20 bucks almost complete, and a new in box for 70.

The lack of the ladies in Teddy Ruxpin is one of the most head scratching MIA situation of the 1980s -- as Teddy Ruxpin was a gender neutral toy geared to *all* the genders of kids. It ties into some of the back ground I've come across -- the creators and World of Wonder kinda didn't know what the F they were doing. I will say at a slightly older kid at this point -- 10-12, he was cute but the cassette deck in him made him not as cuddly & hard to comfortably run around with like a standard teddy. We had all of the puppets (i know we were spoiled) and the Fobs were the most fun, and most of the poseable figures and I will say the lack of ladies helped me lose interest faster. Also if you put a Poison cassette in you could reasonably get Teddy lipsynching to Talk Dirty To Me.
Yeah he has a strange case. Cabbage Patch Kids, with their hard plastic heads, could be used as a mace but Teddy was just a brick. And yet a fragile brick with the audio equipment inside.
@@gaytiestoys I just went and looked up the Cabbage Patch Kids action figures and the Teddy figures to see secondary prices as I may want them now.. but also... Cabbage Patch Kids Vs Teddy... fight to the death!

@@gaytiestoys We had a few of the figures -- just not Teddy, and I recall them scaling close-ish enough with MOTU & POP that I used the robed villain as a minion of Catra.
I hate to admit that Karen Katerpillar is rather hot for a Teddy Ruxpin character.
