The BD-20 folds flat against the wall to conserve as much space as possible in your personal gym or studio when not in use. When it's time for your workout, simply remove the 4 pull pins that secure and lock the frame in place. Once you unfold and put the squat rack uprights in place, put the pull pins back into place to secure your squat rack - it's that easy!

    It looks like the feet of the portion that swings out are off the ground. Doesn't it put stress on the wall mount when you add weight to the rack and the swing outs are off the ground?

      When in use the rubber base caps on the BD-20 should be in contact with the floor. Our demonstration setup is mounted slightly higher than recommended.

    Rogue recommends against using spotter arms with their wall mounted racks. Does Valor Fitness say it's ok to use the BD-20 with spotter arms on wooden studs?

    So I don't get it all the weight is sitting on the bolts in the wall , because uprights are off the ground ?

      Vik P, if your position of the brackets slightly raises the uprights off the floor (slightly as in barely) there should be enough play in the frame to lift up the uprights and pivot them left or right. Once the weights are back on the frame, the amount of play will then allow the uprights to be grounded. Let me know if this does not help?

    How is this for kipping or bar muscleups as far as stability?

      It is definitely stable enough but keep in mind, the bar is only 2 feet away from the wall so depending on how big your kip is, you may have limited space.

    Is it OK to bench without a spotter?

      Alexsandra, the easy answer is "Yes, have a spotter". But if you have a bench or rack that uses safety spotter arms, then there should not be a need for a human spotter. However, a lot will depend on the amount of weight you are lifting. If at any time you are looking to "max out" on your weight, then yes, definitely use a human spotter to help you out.
