When I was working on 40th & B’way in NYC there was a car chase through Times Sq. We heard a huge crash and the car wound up halfway down the subway entrance on my corner. Thankfully it was after lunch hour and amazingly nobody was injured! He did mow down a vacant news kiosk though. Normally that’s one of the busiest areas in the city. I could see from my office window the car had New Jersey plates…

@@CiggiesLollies it is a city, to me though I get what they are saying. It's a small city. People really have a skewed version of what size cities are because of movies and TV shows. I live right outside of one of the biggest cities in the US #17 right ahead of Seattle (though for now our metro is smaller) and people who grew up here will complain about how small the city is. And I'm like we have essentially 900k people living INSIDE the city sir, that's not a small city.
Just because NY and LA exist doesn't mean everywhere else has those numbers. There's a reason they are outliers but people think that every big city has 10 million people living in them. I think people would be very surprised by how little there is to do actually inside of Seattle for example unless you are there to go outside the city and see nature (no argument from me).

It doesn't necessarily mean he'd actually stick up for that dude, he could literally just be scared of him, or know his homies will gang up on him if he "rats". Fear isn't the same as loyalty. Not selling a dude out when he's ten feet away in a squad car watching to see if you sell him out, is called survival 😂

A lot of times with those ankle monitors you can leave your home during essentially daylight hours, depending on what the judge has decided you may be allowed to travel around the state or just around your county. If you have a job you are allowed to go directly to that job wherever it may be and directly back home. But most importantly you’ve got to be back home before your curfew unless your job has you out late or any other legitimate reason keeps you out late, to which you’d have to call your parole officer and notify them as to why your gonna be late so they will know what’s up.

8:47 side note about house arrest: you can get approved outings and some inmates (or i guess… outmates?) can have an approved radius. That’s why ol boy never left city limits… he couldn’t lol. Ankle monitors are fascinating in that they’re usually used while you’re awaiting trial and you actually have to pay to be on house arrest on top of bail for monitor and maintenance costs. They also use the same gps as whatever large phone company your city has paid to use their towers. I believe around me it’s T-Mobile, and you know how a lot of times your gps on your phone glitches and it shows you across the street from where you are? Yeah. That happens with ankle monitors. More than they’d like you to know.

The guy having so much fun screaming conflicting orders only to have every order followed causing the guy to get triggered further to the point of dragging out a person who is already repeatedly saying they will follow instructions.
On top of it those chased were high on pot which lets be honest people high on weed don’t get even get as high strung as sober people so we KNOW they were going to be so easy to handle especially considering when compared to those drunk or high on like any other drug those people would be so much more belligerent.
Really disappointing to see the gang in blue be so aggressive in their actions when they are supposed to be taught the exact opposite in training as they are supposed to be taking on positions of power that NEED to have a higher standard to not be the cause of conflicts themselves in as many potential scenarios as possible.

  • @kateschoolfield7303

Ankle monitors can be used for parole as well as house arrest. It’s about your location, and where you are and at what time. Many people on parole have a curfew, and have to be employed and can only go between work and home. Ankle monitors can also detect drug/alcohol use from the wearer’s sweat.

It depends on what kinda monitor is on his ankle. So just monitor whether or not the person is drinking if they have had dui or such things others allow you to go certain places. Also charges like that don’t nearly get the punishment you would think short jail time and ankle monitors usually the worst

  • @jimmylolo8108

This is more an example of a cop acting like an asshole to escalate the situation further. Conflicting orders. Yelling like an asshole when suspects are being calm and showing no FURTHER resistance after the chase. Pulls them out of the car. Pushes to the ground. Classic cop BS.

    • @scarletamazon3455
      @scarletamazon3455 8 місяців тому

The guy admitted he had a gun, and usually when someone flees like that, it's because they have serious reason to. It can go bad fast, so the cop is right to yell orders at him, which were not conflicting, the guy just wasn't following them while acting shady. The cop said "give me your phone" with his hand right there to take it, guy went to put it on the dash instead, which is not what he was told to do. It takes seconds for someone to pull a weapon and fire on officers, and after a chase like that at those speeds, you best believe the cops are worried these are hardened criminals that might try to fight their way out by killing cops.
I swear, some of you ACAB people are so determined to be anti-cop that you turn your brains off entirely.

  • @-desertpackrat

9:50 yeah I saw one where a cop was chasing someone and she watched him T-bone another cop car, so she didn't even know if the other cop lived, and when she caught the guy she was enraged and shaking and he kept whining that he didn't do nothing and she's hurting him. They always give up and act chill because the cops have a weapon and they know the jig is up, but you just risked lives and possibly hurt people, the cops aren't gonna be chill just because you turn into a limp baby and don't fight them, they're still mad that you gave them hell ten minutes ago.

My cousin is a police officer and told me a fun fact about people who try to do the whole "Sovereign Citizen" shtick or something else where they don't give over their license and registration: He is allowed to immediately - and forcibly - remove someone from the vehicle if they don't comply. Giving them multiple opportunities to do so is simply a courtesy.
Thankfully, he's never actually had to deal with someone like that - yet.

The ankle braclet is usually gps tracked. It's a condition to the bond to be gps tracked if you are medium risk of running. Also, house arrest does allow people to go to work and sometimes allow people to shop (door dash and Uber makes it so you can shop from home) and do tasks needed for this health. Like hospital, doctors appointments, medications, hearing, and dental. But all these need to be reported to your probation officer
