DEVELOPMENT OFFICER IN INSURANCE AN INTRODUCTION
Development officer is a chain between the branch manager and the agent.
Many functions of the Branch Manager is relating to insurance business are performed by the Development officer therefore, the work of Branch Manager is eased.
Development Officer is a field worker and plays an important role in promotion of insurance business and in increasing the sales of insurance policies.
Only those persons are appointed as development officers who are able to increase the insurance business and provide training to the insurance agents.
To assist the agents in selling of insurance policies and to train and supervise them, the corporation has a number of development officers who are originally designated as inspectors or field officers.
The Development Officers are full time salaried employees of the corporation
