Mam I have 6 months good experience in procurement and overall 16 years of work experience. My question is it possible to get some job opportunity in procurement with such less experience?
As someone from the supply chain function with 14 years experience in Planning, Procurement and sourcing..I think I may answer your question. Trust..6 months is too less to count as an experience in procurement.. Procurement doesn't simply mean placing Purchase orders...It involves planning, negotiation , market analysis, demand and supply assessment, Lead time analysis, supplier assessment, Good knowledge of incoterms, sourcing and one of the key processes known as contract management.. It may take anywhere say 2 years at least to gain knowledge and put it in to your active job profile..
