My essentials for traveling; 2 sheet masks, moisturizer (body shop - seaweed or st Ives in a smaller tub), usually a sample mascara (I have lost so many products to changes in pressure on planes), Patti debroff pallette ( a cheap mock up of the naked pallette, but great quality too), sample primer, loreal eyeliner, smith's rose balm, travel size of current face wash, three lippies, sweet cheeks blush (ipsy bag), nars creamy radiant concealer, and Almay cc cream. All in one bag ^-^
Instead of traveling with like whole eyeshadow pallets, I like to take a couple of neutral cream shadows that can be worn for everyday. A shimmery and a matte. It's way more space saving to carry a couple of little eyeshadow pots, rather than a bulky pallet. And I carry a blush\bronzer duo to save space and just one lip color that is wearable for everyday with any outfit. I carry a ELF baked highlighter that can be used on the face of course, AND as eyeshadow or brow bone highlight.
Tarte aqualillies palette. It was limited addition in 2013, you may still be able to get it on ebay (most likely wayy overpriced). I know that tarte is coming out with a similar palette this fall, which I'm dying to get my hands on. It has bronzer, blush, face highlight, and a pretty good selection of natural but interesting eye shadows. Also, Tarte products tend to last longer on my face than other brands. Its a win-win!

My bag changes from month to month depending on what season it is (I live in Louisiana and a bb cream is about all this humidity can handle where in the winter I can get away with a full coverage without any problems; changes like that). But a constant staple that never leaves and is always repurchased is my CoverGirl Lash Blast. It's just too good to change.

I like the NYX Butt Naked palette. I've never traveled with it, but it has 15 eye shadows, 4 blushes, 2 "cheek illuminators" (I don't really like either. That's the one down side.), and a bronzer. It also has a nice sized mirror. Like I said, I've never traveled with it so you'll have to see if the packaging is sturdy enough to your standards, but I like it! and it's on sale right now on Hautelook!(:

BB cream is a must. I use Ponds (such a drug store girl) in light and it matches my skin tone great. I take a powder, and mascara. I like the Clinique mascara.
bh cosmetics has a lot of palettes similar to the lorac pro to go palette with the blush, bronzer, and eyeshadow in it. i don't actually own any, but i was looking on their website today and i saw several for a really great price now that the halloween sale is going on

If I was to pack for a trip, I'd probably bring one of my BH cosmetics palettes (most likely forever glam), because it has 2 blushes, 2 lip colors, a highlighter, and 6 eyeshadows. Quality is okay, but I would still probably bring my Naked 2. Then I'd just have to worry about my mascara, eyeliners, primers, concealer, and tools
in my opinion pick one thing for each part of your face, like one blush, one bronzer, one eyeshadow palette, and so on. but pick your favorite asset like your lips or eyebrows or eyeshadow that you can bring more than one.

Tracy a good tip to refresh your paint pot since it's getting dry is to add a couple eye drops to them it will refresh it without changing the formula

Essence blushes at Ulta are new by me and they are amazing for $2.50 and amazing for just a blush in general. New fav travel blushes
use lipstick as blush! i recommend the baby lips cherry me cuz it can be very sheer or very bold for the lips and the cheeks;)
