One of my favorite videos yet. I love hearing the old timers talking about their experiences in the woods. I promise you them ol fellas know their shit.
Hey Brother, As long as your in the timber business, cherish everyday you got those saw hands! They do not make em like that anymore! Your content is awesome!
He really could use some safety training. You NEVER stand next to a tree and watch it fall. The video shows him doing this several times and one tree slid back off the stump and almost took out his legs. I have been cutting for almost 40 years myself and when you cut a tree you should be running at 45 angle to the tree at least 15-20 feet away. Good fallers never watch a tree fall. The job is extremely dangerous and poses a real danger to the cutter and huge liability to the logging owner. Be safe out there.
OOPS hope you that worked out with the homeowner. I agree with you she should have come talked to him that morning to make sure he understood not to cut out the barrier!
Your timber cutter is a thousand percent rt, the younger generation definitely don't want to work and don't want to learn, and what's worse is they think they know it all
Hard working young man with some ambition which is a breath of fresh air these days.....Luke it it dead on with most young people dont want to work anyway.....Logging in NB Canada different than this but enjoy the video....Luke has lots of experience however the chainsaw pants should be worn....My neighbour with lots of experience cut his leg and bled to death within minutes....
Welcome back...I thought I was loosing my new favorite logging UA-cam channel and then there's a much anticipated episode! I hope you'll had a awesome and blessed Christmas and New Year's holiday! How bout keep the episodes coming?
She should have marked the trees or had that in the contract. It was not your fault you "showed up late" you had to pick up parts to keep your operation going.
Justin did you say she let you know not to cut the trees down at 7pm the night before??? That’s abit short notice, she should have had it surveyed for her own piece of mind if she didn’t want all the trees to be bought and paid for them to leave them 😂😂😂
Good day no break downs. If she wanted the barrier left, that you purchased, ahe couldve done more. With that said, i know how people talk, and i hope she doesnt stir up to much stuff since you tried to do the right thing.
9:50 and that folks is how you get killed cutting timber

If she didnt want a certain area cut down, couldnt she have gone out and put a distinct coloured tape around the trees? Good work mate !
That would be to easy!!
As being a young man stepping into something new I wish you the best.

@@Backwoodsloggers what's a good email I can contact you at?

The old timer is 💯% right about the youngster this day no one wants to work anymore and or learn anything of value
Why did you have a man cutting down with a saw and a buncer pushing? The buncher operator must don't have much experience
If you need a well experienced operator im available.
