I know a guy that has a 23 model and does rideshare/food delivery with it. He just hit 100k and told me he's had zero issues. He did have to get new spark plugs, coolant service, and new tranny fluid at 100k. I guess thats all a part of the 100k service.
I have a 2025 crv hybrid sport touring. The 0-60 for this ride is right down the middle for me in my current vehicle lineup. I've got a 1981 vw rabbit diesel with 53 horsepower, and the 0-60 IS 16.8 SECONDS! On the other end of the spectrum, I've got a corvette, and a bmw M5 that can hit 60 mph in 4 seconds. The crv is an excellent run about vehicle that gives a level of comfort and quiet driving that is tough to beat! The top trim level really should have had homelink installed. The good news is you can order a homelink mirror that is plug and play, easy swap! I will keep my eyes peeled for leaves. I don't park it outdoors by trees, so I'll probably be fine.
we have a 24 crv hybrid sport and my biggest complaint is the rear hatch makes an awful groaning noise when opening and closing it. I need to buy some grease and add some to the rear struts I think. acceleration is ok for the segment. the 0-30 and merging onto interstates is pretty good, but yes it's definitely not the fastest. I feel if this had another 30-40 horsepower it would make a world of difference.
I might be crazy, but I just ignore the recalls. I hate the dealership kids touching my car, since they don't even know how to use a screwdriver. The biggest problem with Honda is they being uncapable of making parts. Pretty insane I had to pay $4 bucks for a single Honda washer...
Keep the trans. fluid changed to keep the filter clean because you have to remove the transmission and take it apart to replace the transmission filter.
Awesome factual video Doc! 😊 Sad Honda slipping abit on the details. Sounds like you’re not too pleased with the CRV. Would you buy it again?Your model a hybrid?😢 What do you think of the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid? (RAV4 Engine).
Honestly Mazda CX-50 hybrid is the top pick right now. Will be getting one soon mostly likely! Im still very happy with this CRV. Will still keep it. Im just being picky so everyone gets the owner side.
Thanks for the video. My wife has the '20 CRV EXL, it has the fog light and LED rear vertical turn light. I read on an article, automakers usually do this went they think this features are not being utilized fully by the consumer and to balance the cost. Most likely for the next iteration of this gen, they will bring back the foglights. This current generation of CRV looks really nice and like a small pilot.
You say the driver side passenger seat is unsafe and you point to the seatbelt on the roof of the car. The roof of the car seatbelt you point to is for the back middle seat, not the one directly behind the driver.
Good to see updates im at 18k on my 2023 sport so far i had one emissions issue where the car ran sluggish took it to the dealer so far so 👍, the dralers are short in parts 😢 for the recalls
My 2023 CRV's trip computer consistently overstates the mpg by roughly 2 mpg. I always wonder when posters report their mpg are they trusting the computer or are they doing it manually? I makes quite a difference.
I just hopped in my 2025 crv hybrid, and drove to work. I paid special attention to the responsiveness when stepping on the gas. Seems very responsive to me, yet, mine was built on October 3rd 2024, the pdi was done the day before I bought it on October 20th. You might wanna bring yours in if it's still under warranty, for the slow responsiveness you mentioned in the video. Also, your scratches on the plastic by the shifter, are you using a vacuum with the plastic bristles? My guess is that isscratching your plastic. Try using microfiber
Hi, if you have tinted windscreen how is possible that brighter lights improve visibility? Just remove the tint and the visibility will improve! Here in Germany or Europe it s not allowed to tint " drivers " screens because of your " problems " not seeing anything without fog lights! Please make it make sense or i missunderstand anything!? Here it s allowed to have light tint but not as dark as in US!
I just bought the 2025 CRV SPORT HYBRID . It makes weird noise when I’m at a light or in a drive through . Is that normal ? Also can you tell me what tint number is on your windows!
I bought my 2023 CRV Hybrid Sport in March of 2023 and I can’t get out of this vehicle quick enough. I barely drive it (has 9k miles) because of the notching/sticky steering (rack and pinion changed twice already) . I’ll think I’m leaning toward the RAV4
Few corrections. EU version doesnt have fog lights also. I bought new CRV hybrid in summer with highest trim or extras. The reason is that it was designed that way not needing extra fog lights. Not sure why you had bad visibility. Also in EU version higher trim has corrected safety for second row passenger collision safety. Regarding other minor things, it seems compromise of price and extras. In EU i have passenger seat also electric no issues what so ever. Overall i think car is great at least EU version, full digital display and better middle console. THe only thing is that when winter comes the economy is not that great even for hybrid until car has warmed up. Still good but 2L engine does consume more. To me it seems you grew out of this car segment and not happy with it. Perfectly ok, but its not car design or the target it was marketed fault. You want something else that is cheap or at same price range, fast acceleration, economic and good interior build quality with reliable engine. Thats not possible. You have to look whole thing and no car has that much unless you pretty much pay double the money to get all that.
I definitely seen fog lights available on the European version. People are actually purchasing the aftermarket fog lights that match the Euro version and having them installed
Hi, EU versions are higher quality and better equiped/spec d/ more features but the prices start at nearly 49.000 Euro not US 37.500 Dollars and they are build in China as far as i know! And another reason for better quality might be the not existend ACURA brand in europe so Hondas have to be " better " !
Good review. I’d also add the lack of a tachometer (seems like an easy software fix) and the useless 0-100 power meter, at least on the hybrid touring. In addition, I’d add the uncomfortable back seats because of the way engineers mounted the protruding child car seat brackets in the lower lumbar area of the rear seats. Finally, they put a crappy oil dip stick in the car with plastic at the tip - it’s difficult to read the oil level.
How would a tachometer work for a hybrid though? The engine doesn’t run all the time, and when it does, it’s usually to charge the electric motor which is actually what propels the vehicle.
@@TheMrJourneyer Primarily so the driver can switch driving modes and throttle to help control the notorious over revving, because the programming controlling the Atkinson engine on 2025 CRV hybrid seems really screwed-up at times, especially on mountain roads. In, addition, a temperature gauge, not an idiot light, should also be an optional setting.
Fuel pumps: Honda recalled over 720,000 vehicles in October 2024 due to a potential fuel leak issue. The recall affects the following models: 2023-2024 Honda Accord 2023-2024 Honda Accord Hybrid 2025 Honda Civic 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid
Just bought a 2025 crv exl and it is acting like a transmission problem when going up a steep hill won’t go over 60kmph hits max rpm and won’t shift to the next gear super problematic when the speed limit is 75 up the hill and I can only go 60 anyone else have this issue?
I bought the 2024 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The acceleration is awesome! I'm amazed at the acceleration! Takes off like a rocket! So far it's a great car. I've had no issues. The only thing that drives me crazy is the lane assist. I have to keep turning it off every time I start the car. If I could permanently disable it I would. But other than that, great car, can't fault it.👍
One of the most honest mileage reviews of a car. At least you haven’thad any engine or transmission problems yet
