Just bought a white 2025 CRV EX. Love it. Came in at 35K. I live in south Texas and we have hot summers. Having leather makes it hotter, So I am happy with my choice.
We’re at a standstill trying to decide between the Sport Touring hybrid and the EX. We both like the cloth seats. In Canada the EX comes with the leather wrapped and heated steering wheel. It also comes with a power tail gate. We’re not fans of the piano black glossy trim on anything. Also don’t need the memory seats but wish the EX came with a power passenger’s seat. A big stumbling block for me is I don’t like the black alloys wheels that are standard on the EX and up trims. I read in Consumer Reports that the gas engine is more reliable than the hybrid. Could be true as the hybrid is a lot more complicated. I don’t know for sure. Your video was well done thanks for posting.
Very detailed and informative comparison. Thank you. Actually, I do not really like leather seat. It will be brittle and crack in few years. The one that I really miss in the EX model is the power liftgate. Other than this, I will prefer the EX rather than the EXL.
Well y'all can always find some time to go back and add cause it's important and 55 mph is a wussy sound check, it should be at highway speeds at least 70 to 75 mph
I'm a little shocked that the EX doesn't come with Sirius XM. My 2017 Civic Hatchback EX has it. You would think a newer trim, even though it's a different model vehicle, would have the same features as a car that is 8 years older.
Go with the Hybrid Sport for the same money as the EX. Way better driving experience. The hybrid sport has the electronic CVT transmission and shifts more like a regular transmission. The hybrid sport is quick off the line. The 1.5 turbo with mechanical CVT is dog slow off the line. I have owned both so I think there is a huge difference. The downside to the hybrid is the cost of battery replacement when the vehicle gets older.
I will say there are ways to get around the hybrid battery cost. You actually remove the battery and replace the cells.. very easy and a WHOLE lot more cheaper.
Stupid center display looks like an add on after-market item. No thought given to looking integrated. A/C vents look like they came from a cheap 1970s vehicle. Ugh. Should definitely come with an under-hood insulation pad and bring back the cover over the injectors! But it probably DOES come with the BIRD - you know, the one which goes, "CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!"
Haha…. The analogy…. I honestly don’t mind the engine cover and pad… never liked them on my cars, always felt like the don’t let engine cool better, just an OCD thing.
Cheap 70s vehicle haha! I just bought a new crv hybrid and I have a coiple cheap old cars and I can tell you the crv is light years ahead of em! My 1981 rabbit diesel is almost comical in the hvac controls area. No factory ac, no power windows, no power steering, no power brakes, it has a pull knob to start when cold. Ya, you're a little off on that one bud. I do love my rabbit though. It's a time machine!
That's awesome comparison video 👏👏
Thank you so much for this video. I appreciate the details that you shared. This is a great comparison of the Honda CR-V EX and EX-L.

one of the best reviews I've seen. thanks to your review I realized the EX was a better fit for me.
Glad I could help! Appreciate the support!
Honda need to step up the rear camera game. Aweful!
I did see that. The rear camera could be a bit better I would say.
Such a pretty car. But, that big screen in the middle. I'd much rather have it built into the dash.
Oh okay…. 👍🏼
Thanks for sharing Sir, bless you!
Thank you for the blessing! Glad we can help!

Thanks for the feedback! It seems like the power liftgate is a big feature for you.
Does anyone know how reliable is the turbo engines in the crv,s and the cvt trans😢
I can’t answer that… time will tell how they do… HRV maybe?
This car is almost same with 2023 CR-V. I think u have to ask any owner 👍
Y'all never talk about the acoustic glass in the exl model and the difference it can make
Sorry… we can’t mention everything 😅
@@VagabondBuilds but that's important, so how was the wind noise

Interesting observation!
you forgot the speakers, and stereo wattage difference.
Sorry about that. We don’t typically mention wattage differences but we do speakers. Sorry 😅. Check the msrp stickers in the video.

Plus no spare tire on the Hybrid.

True
No spare tire if you have a flat your sitting waiting for a tow

You failed to mention the EXL has a compass.
Sorry!!! Thanks for the heads up!
Waste of time! I could have told you the differences in 2 minutes!
Sorry 😅 we also like to give our viewers a quick overlook as well so they can see the cars.
Those 1.5 turbos are trash. In civics, accords and crvs. Oil dilution and head gaskets blowing up every where. Don’t buy.
I’m not a big fan of the turbo myself.
3 minutes in and the only difference noted was the bumper sensors🫥 and high gloss isn't a good thing for me.
Soo… ?? Which one you going with?
@@VagabondBuilds the EXL. If I can
Good choice honestly! Good idea to get the more bell and whistle one… but it’s really worth
