Mike, that road bike tire normal pressure is 100psi. it will easily puncture if having less pressure. it will take you few days to acclimatize with malaysia's weather and cycling in the afternoon. all the best to your journey and enjoy.

You are doing fine because kl to singapore route has many towns along the way. So you can check in to hotels anytime.

for travel, I recommend a bicycle with bigger tires. durable and not easy to break..
rather than purchasing the used bike for 1000 dollar, he should have just purchased a new one from Decathlon with better tires and cheaper price

I think instead of Singapore better if u make a journey from KL to the east coast like Terengganu. The journey will be more challenging but the scenery will be much better, the mountains, the east coast beach 🏝 maybe next time, journey from KL to Pulau Perhentian by bicycle 👌
