Prt2 - Improving the Trofeo Cinquecento

Doing some last jobs to the Lemon, my trofeo engined Cinquecento. All simple foxes that were making it a pain to live with.
More planned for this car but I'm just seeing what I finally settle on doing with it in the winter.

Got my flange in Spain and all back together and driving. Luckily you have a shed I was struggling on the driveway 😢
Happy it's done now.
You can jack up the cinq on the gearbox mount and take the ramps out BTW.😊

I do feel very lucky having a garage to work in...I spent way too many years out on my back on a driveway or the side of the road fixing cars (usually in the rain) haha

The rear brake shoes don't adjust, you have to adjust the handbrake cable adjustment up with the wheels in the air to make sure the wheels turn freely. But if your adjustment is at the max I can do you a set of modified levels to get over that problem and give you the best handbrake you've ever had..

Thanks.. since fixing the snapped cable clip (on the passenger side) the handbrake been 👍 defintely post the modified handbrake cables on some of the uk cento groups though...plenty of people with terrible cinq/sei handbrakes

Defo get a little bike or kart mate shopping trolley kart vibes I’m at same place with my 2 cars now really I can’t find the umpf to get back onto them my 5 has sat for months and the civic just goes shop and back 😢😢

Yeah sometimes I think small fun (completely pointless) projects are perfect for getting your enthusiasm back up for proper car stuff...so I'm sure to get something random soon

Will a 1,2 Punto 75 camshaft fit straight into a fiat seicento 1108cc mpi,is it just a plug and go or do you have to tinker🧐?and is it a good idea☹

Yes it's a direct fit as far as it will bolt straight in. ..but, you would need to check the shim gap between the cam and the valves (shim cup) as it will probably be a little different and would tap like mad if its much ourside spec.. annoyingly the 1.1 and 1.2 fire engines don't have adjustable tappets so you have to swap the shims out for thinner or thicker ones as needed to get the gap righr... It's more of a long winded job that a hard one and there's lots of people who can give advice . It's a nice mod, especially with a nice filter and exhaust ..it won't make it fast but definitely livens it up
