Needed to find this video as I am having a terrible time with my bikes seat giving me such a bad back that I am thinking of making one of these. I can't afford a bespoke seat so this looks like the next best thing! The bike already has scrim ascents so should look the biz 😂 All the best Del and Penny x

I've done a similar DIY seat, though with tighter weave. I used plasti-dip to spray. It's on a boat and has lasted 4 yrs in the UV. GAH! the foam rubber dust must have been everywhere ;-)
Creative, and well done Del! That seat looks pretty good. I like the way you layered and shaped the foam. Honestly (other than the foam quality of course), that is a proper foundation for any custom seat. I suspect it's pretty comfortable! Looking forward to seeing it on the road.

Raise the nose, or you'll be always pushing back, and sitting on your tail bone. Look at the profile of Sargent seats. My Z1000sx was impossible to ride for more than 30 minutes. Saw everyone singing the praise of "Sargent Seats" ordered one, but still tried to fix the original. Gel insert looks perfect....no relief! Got the Sargent, looked at it and thought....it's the same seat! No, it was heaven! Rode to NY from MD, 262 miles one way. Hung out, hopped back on and drove home no discomfort until 500 miles! Excellent, they just raised the forward part of the crotch hump, the original slopes down to the tank. Anyone need a gel insert OEM seat for a Ninja 1000sx 2013, about 2 hours ridden!?!

Just finished fitting a new air filter and was feeling pleased with myself. Sat down and watched this and now it seems perhaps my efforts weren't quite as epic as I'd imagined... Maybe I'll go and throw some scrim at it and see if I feel any more creative :D

Well, it's certainly comfortable mate, it's a closed cell memory foam and quite firm, but ridden on it in the past for long distances, and it eventually takes on your shape, which I guess is just what you want!

Hi Martin, it should have been 3 mid-roll ads maybe, but not 7! And there's not much we can do about them mate, it's a new YT format, if you want to monetize, then mid-roll ads are the new thing... you've no choice... it feels a bit like they're getting desperate to me, it's possibly a little incentive to push viewers towards You Tube Premium, as the uptake on that was woefully poor, and all channels are affected... believe me, it irritates me too mate on the channels I watch... specially when it's the same advert every time! I guess YT see it as the cost of free content? I may consider signing up to Premium myself, if it gets much worse. Take care buddy, chat soon.

And I love the concept of stretching the tank sides that way... am certainly going to have to try that for myself, I can think of lots of uses for that technique... things like light pods and even hand guards for a dirt bike, the list would be endless! Delboy's Garage needed to ask you a question on the 3 fluids video. This is what I am thinking. Using Amsoil in Primary and trans and then use Syn3 in the engine. What do think?
@@coloradokid1346 Yeah, you can do that, but in many tests the Amsoil comes out better than Syn3 over and over.. it really isn't popular among most Harley owners now... the valve train noise isn't a detrimental sound like there's something wrong, its just audible.. healthy.. but audible.! either way, Syn3 wont be wrong in your engine, ive run my Harley motors on it for ten years and no issues.!

Man I wouldn't change a thing, That seat looks pretty waste land to me. Guess the only thing is you would not want that to get wet because the cover is not waterproof.
Hi Byron.. that's the cheeky fix with using closed cell foam from a camping mat... it doesn't absorb water like regular foam, (it'd be a pretty useless camping mat if it did aye .lol), it gets wet to the touch, but nothing soaks in, so it's dry in no time.
I'm just curious doesn't England have a law against holding license plates or giving them away that aren't yours? It's "quite" serious here could never nail them to the wall and show to the world it's youtube after all I bet all the haters would report stuff like this right away.. The law here is to prevent obvious stuff that usually happens with stolen license plates and stuff.
Sure thing mate, it's a new You Tube platform, and Channel over a certain size, if you monetize, then mid-roll ads are mandatory... not my choice I'm afraid, and the big Creators I follow are equally affected... desperate times for you Tube perhaps? I guess if we wanna enjoy free content, then we have to put up with it... I suppose it's that or a licence fee, but if it really bothers you, you can sign up to You Tube Premium and it blocks all ads for you.

Man I wouldn't change a thing, That seat looks pretty waste land to me. Guess the only thing is you would not want that to get wet because the cover is not waterproof.
Hi Byron.. that's the cheeky fix with using closed cell foam from a camping mat... it doesn't absorb water like regular foam, (it'd be a pretty useless camping mat if it did aye .lol), it gets wet to the touch, but nothing soaks in, so it's dry in no time.

I'm just curious doesn't England have a law against holding license plates or giving them away that aren't yours? It's "quite" serious here could never nail them to the wall and show to the world it's youtube after all I bet all the haters would report stuff like this right away.. The law here is to prevent obvious stuff that usually happens with stolen license plates and stuff.

Sure thing mate, it's a new You Tube platform, and Channel over a certain size, if you monetize, then mid-roll ads are mandatory... not my choice I'm afraid, and the big Creators I follow are equally affected... desperate times for you Tube perhaps? I guess if we wanna enjoy free content, then we have to put up with it... I suppose it's that or a licence fee, but if it really bothers you, you can sign up to You Tube Premium and it blocks all ads for you.
