I live in western Canada and had to google Dundas Square, haha. Those stores were so awesome! I would love to visit New York one day. This summer I did Disneyland and D23 Expo.

my British self has always envisioned that's all people do in New york hahah!
Then I remembered when I lived in London, I avoided the city centre like the plague. x__x;;

Ya I've only been there four times in the past year, and once was at 5 am when I was completely drunk. It's interesting to see Times Square with no people in it haha. And part of the reason New Yorkers don't go to Times Square is because tourists are annoying and all the shops are very "commercial" for lack of a better word. Most people in New York wear high-end designers and eat at fancy and healthy (often vegan) restaurants (as opposed to h & m and TGIFs), and when they go out it's usually cafes and parks during the day and clubs and galleries at night. Can't really find that at Times Square.
Haha I hear you about the tourists! I worked on Oxford street in London and man the amount of family pictures I must've ruined by rushing past people taking pictures of their holiday x___x

don't you just love the Times Square Disney Store!! The first floor was closed the only time I went but I love the escalator and the chandelier on the top floor!
I just moved to New York a few weeks ago for college, I actually love Times Square (i'm still like a little kid when it comes to shiny New York lights), it was really great to see all of the places that now I recognize so well! I'm glad you liked the city so much :)

I'm sad you've never been to Disneyland. I live 20 minutes away and practically grew up there (for a few years I was going every other weekend). If I had a bit more money (and it wouldn't come off as super creepy) and treat you and your loved ones to a few days there in a heartbeat.

I recently went on a trip to Canada to go see my bestie, and I was able to go to both the Disney store and the Sanrio store within the airport I was departing from, which was pretty magical for me, haha. I've never been to New York, but I plan to go some day and this was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing! ♡

you should visit Mackinac Island! It's a part of the upper peninsula in Michigan and it's so fun to visit. It's such a cute small island with no cars, just bikers and horse carriages. I feel like you would love it.

As a New York native I can say that you're right that most people who live in New York don't really go to Times Square. I'll go every once in a while if there is a specific place I want to go to, but otherwise its too crowded for me. Plus tourists walk too slow (I won't lie, New Yorkers walk pretty fast.)

I've also spent one day in New York City and when I went to Toronto a few months ago and went to Dundas Square I kept saying it was the Times Square of Canada haha

When i went go the nintendo store it was the launch of ORAS which was so crazy! They were giving out cute little badges and posters! But i was a lil gutted as literally the next week they launched the Animal Crossing plushies 😩

You were in New York?! Ah I wish I had run into you. I was actually at Times Square last week and I had some time to kill so I went to the Disney store and then the Sanrio store. I guess we have similar interests haha. I found the Sanrio store to be lackluster; the old one was way bigger, and I don't think it was as hello kitty centric. If you come back you should visit Greenwich village and Chelsea; that area is really beautiful. And Central Park of course!

I live in Toronto and laughed at the Dundas Square joke. :P You should check out the Disney store at Square One; it's pretty cool - also has a princess castle! :) I was actually in NYC the same time as you but didn't go to any of these places, so I'll definitely have to check them out. :) I'm posting a NYC vlog next week!

If you ever go to Dubai, you need to go to Kinokuya (i definitely spelled that wrong) in Dubai mall. It is literally the biggest bookstore I've ever been to in my life. It is literally never ending. As I was walking through it with my husband, I kept asking him is it ever going to end? LOL so glad you had fun in my city! :D

+Conswa McGaga it's really nice ! The weather is always perfect close to the beach. My dad has been to NYC he says LA is a better less crowded version lol
fabwithfia ya the weather here sucks. and certain areas aren't too crowded, but sometimes all the people can be overwhelming, especially on the subway. how's the art scene there too? because a lot of the art cultures in new york are being pushed out because it's so expensive to live here. (sorry if i'm like interrogating you, i just find talking to people from LA more useful than google)
+Conswa McGaga the subways here are a little crowded but I'm not sure as much as New York lol. The art scene is growing here actually. But there are still way more galleries and art fairs in New York. And I'm sure it will never be as great as New York.
