Hey bud me again. I have a concern since I just tried out my fluorescent 48 inch blacklight bulbs in my ceiling fixtures. I'm not staring into bulbs but just a short time and being under them my eyes feel a bit strange. What kind of glasses do you recommend to protect the eyes and possibly even enhance the blacklight posters I'm planning on putting up. These leds maybe would be better since they are not in the 365 range maybe safer on the eyes? Anyway I just saw an artist who creates blacklight art and while he is in the gallery where his art is he is wearing some special goggles and seems like I remember reading that they enhance the images making look 3d? Your thoughts.
Hello again. You can use any UV blocking glasses. I don't really have a recommendation. I'm not sure on the 3D goggles. Definitely try a 390-400nm blacklight, it might be easier on your eyes since it's not pure UV.
Chromodepth 3d glasses take a normal 2d image that have the colors that typically are used in blacklight posters(red, green, blue yellow) and makes things look 3d? I believe I might try the strips. Still debating on best method .thanks
would you recommend 365nm for blacklight strips in a room to illuminate UV tapestries? or 395
Well if cost isn’t an issue then 365nm, otherwise go with the 395nm, the purple visible light might give it an added effect. Thanks for watching!
I've been looking for a UV Blacklight strip that has the Chasing or Running Horse mode. Do you know if any exist or can the UV lights not handle this?
There are some with remote access on amazon, but I’m not familiar with those modes.
Is there a set of 365nm LED strips that you recommend?
I collect UV reactive glass and there are certain types of glass that will glow ONLY with 365nm light.
The only 365nm UV strips that I know of are from waveformlighting.com I’m not sure how good the quality is though as I never used them.
Are there any good UV paints specifically made for body painting? I want to have a black light party for my birthday and have everyone all painted and glowing in the dark
@oscar Hoyos most UV body paint are the same, atleast the ones I've seen. Google or Amazon UV Body Paint and you'll get a bunch. They're fairly inexpensive too. You can also get UV Makeup.
would this light up my bedroom of blacklight posters well or would it be dim. my bedroom is small
These work great in a small bedroom. Just make sure all lights are off.
Do you have a recommendation for LED strips that will work with invisible black light paint?
The only place I know that has 365nm strips is waveform lighting.
So is all the footage in the video just using the led light strip or is there a bigger light in the back?
The Intro and Outro I have other black lights on. The rest of the video is just the strip lights.
@@UVBlackLights awesome. I’ve just ordered 3 sets of UV neon ink for my airbrush and 15m of 120led/m 395-405nm
Hoping that wavelength will give me enough visible light to see the artwork On the walls that I’m highlighting with the UV ink but still be able to give enough “glow” to the ink
I'm trying to make a nightclub if mine blacklight for a night. I was thinking of getting some led strip black lights or using led bulbs. I have 25 hanging bulbs in the room. I thought replacing them with black light bulbs might help. Can you give me any advice on what to do or where to turn to
You may need a lot of strip lights depending how big the room is. As for bulbs check out ua-cam.com/video/s3WYnobktxw/v-deo.html this video might help steer you in the right direction. If you need more help let me know!
I’m looking for a good black led that is waterproof and flexible. I’ll be using this to accent a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I’m really not to fired up about a purple light. Help.
I’m not sure they make a 365nm water proof strip. They do have 390nm water proof led strips on Amazon.
Would you recommend these for a neon party?
I would not. You would need something larger to fill a room up. Especially if you have other ambient light on. I have a few videos on bigger lights.
I didn’t know UV would work with glow in the dark paint.. what does the wavelength need to be for best result of glow in the dark?
One more question: What wavelength gives the most light to see in a room but also fluoresce uv paint/glow in the dark paint?
Thanks
Best wavelength is 365nm.
390-400nm would give you most light and will react to those.
@@UVBlackLights thanks. So 365 is best for uv items, but 390-400 will give you “light” plus UV will still show as well as glow in the dark, cool. (I was under the impression that glow in the dark needed a different wavelength.)
Yeah glow in the dark paint is different than UV paint. You can even use a regular flashlight to charge glow in the dark paint.
@@UVBlackLights Right. I knew glow in the dark charged differently, that way I was surprised when you said that the UV would work with glow in the dark. I assumed the wavelength was incorrect or “not enough” for what glow in the dark needed. That’d be a new video I’d like to see (if yo haven’t done it yet.) UV black light and working with glow in the dark paint. Thanks
I have some videos with UV light and glow in the dark objects. Not sure which ones though lol. UV light works with glow in the dark as well.
How do these look with uranium glass?
@zavrl Lavigne Yea it should work.
Wow! Under a $1 a foot!!! With power supply!!
and a warranty! I wish I had time to properly set this up in my garage...
@@UVBlackLights are the ones on amazon now good? They have gotten so much cheaper
Not sure. The Romwish ones get the job done. They’re pretty much all the same.
Will this have enough uv light for funko pops in a room
Yes, as long as all the regular lights are off. Also depends how close they are to the funko pops.
@@UVBlackLights maybe a few feet away. Best route would you recommend. I’m taking out my glow in the dark pops and put them in shelfs
You shouldn’t have any issues then. If you can make a shadowbox type for your funko pops, you can put the UV strips inside them. Also paint the box black.
How do you make your room like this please help
All you need is a quality black light and some UV reactive or glow in the dark materials.
@@UVBlackLights would you mind recommending me bulbs and LED strips?
@@joshrosado311 Check out this video. Theres a link in the description on those black lights that I use for my room ua-cam.com/video/cRhbjN_yEJU/v-deo.html
Can you pllzz do a video about alonefire uv flashlight 10 w 365 nm , I found it on aliexpres , and I saw that it produces a nice 365 nm light , put I dont trust them , I trust youu , so can you do a video about it , and thank you
Saddiki Fahd that one is on my radar, but not sure when I’ll be able to do that one.
Is this safe to have in my room? I just hung them up in my room
Should be ok if you’re not super close to them.
How bright are they?
They’re not bad, but really depends what you plan to use it for.
@@UVBlackLights I'm planning on using some for my Beyblade Stadium.
@parkergreen2704 should be ok, those don’t look very big.
@@UVBlackLights How well insulated are they? Keep in mind these are beyblades. With metal.
@parkergreen2704 I mean they aren’t industrial grade. Hard to say how well they’ll hold up.
Why are they called black light when they are purple UV? it's confusing.
UV is not visible to the human eye, so the light is "black". The purple you see is visible light because that black light is in the 400nm wavelength, which is closer to the visible light spectrum.
@@UVBlackLights Ah thanks for explaining that. If you were to use a 12 volt battery to try and grow stuff would you use 12volt LED's with red white and blue or 12volts of UV LED's?
@@bobprobert353 unfortunately, I don’t know much at all about grow lights and what UV spectrum they use.
