I have fallen in like with this car. it reminds me of y dads 50 Lincoln. We used to load all r ass in it and cruise to Florence Oregon, back when the road was called route F and graveled the was a special spot where if he remembered he'd goose it as we wen over a small bridge and it would give us all butterflies in our belly's. Thank you for sharing.
I love it when my favorite motor guys come out with a second channel! Halfass Customs, ViseGrip Garage, Waylon Wire, Puddin's Fab Shop....it's a disease.
I had a notification on face book about this channel so here i am , oh well i don't sleep much anyhow so now i got more to watch . I'm sure it's going to be as good as your other one . Jim Collins - Idaho
I'm glad you've created this 2nd channel !! The winding wire on one side of the heater motor had shorted, then burned out, good news you can buy proper size coated winding wire or "magnet wire" and rewind that side if you want to spend the time fixing your heater motor.
Awesome. This is one of my favorite build series. You did some really amazing work on this one. And now several months later we're watching improvements on it. Awesome work!
I feel like, when I was little watching Stacey David's car fixing TV show GEARZ on Saturday mornings. He has a UA-cam channel now. I could watch both of yall for hours
I just realised after watching these videos back to back you have super extreme temperatures in BC from 40 plus c to below zero celsius , it’s sucky hey? Darn extremes, this morning we had 4.5 degrees in kitchen now its 8.5 though at 11 am 👨🏻🔧
Well, one of the field coils on that motor was blue and burnt out, probably from tight and dry oillite bearings. Easy enough to rewind if you have time (1 hour), cheers
Subbed up ....great stuff..hot rodding ain't just fun and games...repairs and maintenance..is just. The oil that keeps the squeaky wheels rolling...and it's just as good watching as the builds themselves...thanks for this extra content..
Me: 'Hey, what channel are you watching on the old computer there bob'? Bob: 'I don't know, but there's some Canadian guy fixing a heater motor with a sledgehammer!' Me: 'Hmm, that sounds like Halfass Kustoms to me.' Bob: 'Oh yeah, that's the channel name, so you know it then?'... 😉👍
It is great to see how these cars are doing, and what repairs it takes to keep a old hotrod running as a daily driver. I see a lot of good content from this channel moving forward into the future.
First time I ever messed with a blow motor I had it all worpped up but got the new in I was driving when it exploded I thought I had been shot , she went KaaaaBoooom it scared me so bad I had to pull over !!!!
If you rebuild the master cylinder the piston may be totally different from the original one removed and you have to recycle the plastic or metal piston and transfer the rubber to the old one same thing happened to me this summer
Why not use the diode in transistor set up like they use on those old Dodge trucks to convert the gauges don’t work on 12 or like a 1970s they had a little resistor I switch in the dash lights and shit. It always went bad but there’s plans on the Internet to make sure I gotta write a normal modern-day resistors to take the place of it. That adjustable TW downs of the dash lights and everything work when I use something like that
Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!
Never to much mercury content 👍👍👍👍

Stacey David has nicer hair and never gets his hands dirty....But Brent is much more talented when it comes to fabrication and repairs

I wouldn't of thought it would be so hard to remove that Squirrel cage the second time.
It is a cool ride and having everything working, is a plus. I love the styling of the old cars and trucks.

Looks like the 51 Mercury is your daily winter driver.
Just curious if you're going to make some more videos fixing the oil leaks on your 51 Mercury?
If you rebuild the master cylinder the piston may be totally different from the original one removed and you have to recycle the plastic or metal piston and transfer the rubber to the old one same thing happened to me this summer

Vacuum cleaners are often a good source of brushes and people throw them away every day.
Rheostat?
That first motor, the magic smoke was released.
Drum brakes are fine in a daily driver. Except when they howl.annoying.
