I've had mine a week... and the build quality is superb..I've owned 4 Alfas prior to this, so I have the AR arrow through my heart, so I was initially concerned that the Mito (and Guilietta) would be mere soul-less ball-less corporate wanna-bees to follow the crowd. But NO! ..I've got the JTDM version, and wouldnt swap it for the world.. the savings on fuel are incredible, the internal gizmos awesome, and a car that drives so well, can at the flick of the DNA switch, turn back into loony Alfa!!
The Alfa is much better looking, had one as a courtesy car for a couple of weeks (waiting for my 159 to arrive), and it was awesome! Never had that many questions about a car I drove, esp compared to the MINI. The MINI may be "better" handling, but the MiTo is more fun, much cheaper, and, as with a lot of Alfa's, a much nicer place to be in.
I got one great car (for me) :-)) .This on the other hand doesn't have the tendency to fall apart (exept the occasional winshield wiper wear , light bulb wear).It's a grande punto undearneath so it's tested tech , i have the 155TB 1.4 and it's all the power you need. Old Alfas may have crap elctrics and build niggles but the new ones MiTo, Giulietta are better build.Anyway chicks dig it and so do the haters :))
wtf is she talking about? Understeer on the MiTo? I have driven both, I own a MiTo because I like it best of the two. The Mini will lift the inner rear wheel in quick corners, making the ESP kick in, and power drops. The MiTo does not do that, it does skip a bit on the rear on bumpy roads, but it still corners like its on rails. When I test drove the Mini, I was like "hm.. maybe I'll buy this one". When I tested the MiTo, I was like "fucking hell, when can I get it?"
yesterday a guy was killed in a frontal accident in his Mini on the autostrada. The driver of the other car new ford fiesta survived the frontal. the mini was really smashed
no she isn't, the mini has slightly better handling and u have to admit it.. but in the real world you wouldn't notice the difference.. so mito is better..
a me la mito piace molto... alla fine ogni persona ha i propri gusti....... per questo non disprezo la mini.... dico solo che parere mio la mito e più bella ed è molto divertente da guidare

Cant wait to drive a 1.75 litre turbo version. 240BHP in one of these will be amazing if they control the torque steer!
the looks are a thing of taste, but price and performance wise, you cant argue against it...it is the best super mini

This comparison isn't fair, cause MINI is a cabrio version so it will obviously be better in corners as it has much lower center of weight...
Cabrios have less rigidity and softer suspension...
