Thanks for the breakdown description! I have PowerBlock USA Elites and hope to order some knurled handles from you soon, preferably the thickest with very deep knurl.
My handles were very loose and finding #32 o-rings in my area and even online was harder than it should have been. The only ones I could find are 1/8" thickness and are too wide, but work for now (handles are really tight). Thanks for the update and I'll keep an eye out for thinner o-rings.
Hi Matthew, I'll hop on over to the local mom-n-pop and pick up a couple of the ones you need. I'll send those out this week. We have a great little specialty small hardware store in town that Home Depot hasn't killed off. These rings should feel a heck of a lot better than the 1/8" that you found. As you discovered, 1/8" is too much. And if the washer company gets back to me about my request, then I *may* have some nice custom washers by April/May. If I do, you're welcome to a pair of those too.
Thanks for your videos and handles! If I pick up some Powerblocks at some point I’ll definitely be swapping out the handles for yours. Keep up the great job.
I upgraded from sport 50s to the powerblock elite USA models and I hate the grips. I loved the grips on the 50s, that have that fusiform shape (tapered from middle outward) that worked great for me, is anyone calling for a recreation of that from you or am I just the odd man out? The elite handles are too thin regardless so I'll be getting some of your product I'm just curious if there's any possibility of a shaped grip beyond the mighty cylinder
Hi, TWG. You're the first to request a knurled fusiform grip. I wouldn't say it is impossible. I just don't know off the top of my head how it'd be done. I'd have to have a conversation with my manufacturers here and abroad. My primary concern would be all of the potential additional machine time and set up. I suspect they'd be a lot more costly to manufacture. For the heck of it I'll inquire in the weeks ahead about the feasibility. If I have anything new to share, I'll let you all know. Cheers, Joe
HI Lash, Typically the various Sport Powerblock models require what I call my "Type A" grip. So I do make a grip that fits most sport models. The video above is just for USA Elite owners whose dumbbells require my Type B grip. If you head on over to knurledgrips.com there's more info about compatibility, etc. You'll see a section with photos and dimensions so you can compare with your dumbbell to determine the correct Average Joe grip type.

Do the type A handles have the same length ends (as opposed to type B)?
Hey Yeh. That's correct.
Hey! This wouldn't work with the Sport version eh? We don't have the USA Elite version in Canada unfortunately.
