Hi everyone! This is my first video in several months and I'm preparing to film several more in the days ahead to answer more viewer questions, and talk about my upcoming products for Bowflex and Powerblock owners. I hope you'll stay tuned. Please note that I had to turn off my phone camera's image stabilization in order to show the grip knurls up close. As a result, the camera constantly adjusts focus during filming. It's a little annoying, but I hope the video is worth it. Cheers, Joe
0:34 this... MAIN reason why I like the handles. The design of the bezel makes it look SOOOO high-end compared to everywhere else. 3:48 I also did this, thank you for taking the time to hand pick an aggressive knurl for me :).
Sweet! I'm so glad to read that you like that design detail too, BB. I'm glad I was able to find a pair with knurling that suited your preference. Rock on, man!
Awesome, super happy that you like what you see. I even have customers already replacing the OEM grips on their brand new Pro 100s too which is wild. I'm just stoked that customers are happy with their investments. Cheers, Joe
I just bought a set of your Type A, 40mm dia, aggressive knurled 316SS handles for my powerblocks. I have to say, you offer quite the product at a VERY reasonable price. One guy out there is selling these (minus diameter choices) for$199, and if you want these ceracoated, $299. THANK YOU!!
Awesome! Thank you for your business. I appreciate it, and I'm thrilled that you like your grips. Yes, there are at least 4 other sources for grips...none quite like mine. Over the past year, a couple of them lowered their pricing, one changed its design, and two switched to free shipping in an effort to compete with me. I must be doing something right. 😄 Cheers, Joe
Ha! I've wanted to showcase the new mods for a while now. There are now four PB mods total in various stages of development, two of which I'm actively working on with a handful of new prototypes due to arrive in about 2 and 4 weeks respectively. They're coming. It's just taking me seemingly forever since I don't have much time to dedicate to development. I hope to have at least one ready for show time before the end of the year. I hope you'll stay tuned.
@@lawrence09151 Not sure, no updates/details were given. Lol actually the opposite and he removed any mention of it from his site. Guess it's safe to say it's been 86'd
Sweet! Me either. Every time a new shipment is headed this way, I get ants in my pants. I'd like to grow the company enough that I can afford to manufacture on a regular basis and keep kits in stock rather than do these semi-annual pre-orders. But as Bill Murray said in "What About Bob?", baby steps: ua-cam.com/video/fA7LGqwjhYs/v-deo.htmlsi=KHq54kPLdF7qOHuY Cheers!
Hi RG, I have no experience with those grips. Nice to hear he's offering stainless steel now, though it isn't clear if he's just using 304, or using 316 like me. The biggest differences between mine and any of the others out on the market are covered in the video. Mine are a more attractive/integrated design for anyone who cares about that sort of thing. Top material (316 SS), three diameters, three types to fit most PBs old and new, and more than just one depth/aggressiveness of knurling. I mention in the video that I'd put mine up against anything on the market today. Even before we throw pricing into the mix, there's no comparison. But don't take my word for it. When you have a chance, head on over to any of the Reddit/Facebook/Homegym forums and read what others are writing about them. Wishing you and your family Happy holidays, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and all that good stuff!
Hi, Aze. Sorry about the late reply, man. I'm rarely on my social media. You can always reach me by email for quicker replies. They will definitely work with PB EXPs. Cheers and happy holidays!
Hi, the website is knurledgrips.com. Just grips at the moment. I have been working on some other kits, but nothing specific to the urethane series. You'll hear more about at least one of those in the months ahead. Any other questions, feel free to hit me up at the email on the website. Cheers, Joe
I have the Powerblock EXP (Black and Red from DicksSportingGoods that look like a loaf of bread)-(the ones with the 2 Adder Weights and "Switch") I notice on "other providers" of Handles for the Powerblock EXP they provide 1 washer per Powerblock to go on the end where the "Switch" is to put-in or take-out the Adder Weights. Q-1) Is there a reason why you don't provide the 2 washers for the Powerblock EXP on your 35mm Grips?
Man oh man, so sorry about the delayed reply. I've not been on my social media for several weeks. Most of the newer Powerblocks that need a washer, come with a washer from the factory. For example, you can see the washer-equipped Pro EXP here: powerblock.com/product/pro-exp-handle/. The washer's function is to apply some compression against the adder weight mechanism while still allowing it to move freely. If you remove the OEM washer, the adder weight mechanism will almost definitely be loose. However, there are occasions that someone will still need a washer for whatever reason--for example, a model that didn't originally ship with washers--and I do have brand new custom-made washers that are available for that purpose. For older Powerblocks, and Elite USAs, I automatically ship special custom-made washers with those grips, because many were not equipped with OEM washers, and instead used pressure from the OEM grip's foam rubber to serve the same purpose as washers in newer Powerblocks. I hope that answered your question. If not, shoot me an email with your follow-up questions since I am not on social media regularly. Cheers, and happy holidays!
Hey Joe, I saw your video. I actually just sent you a email. I'm looking for handle for my power box pro that's over 25 years old. I didn't include the model number. I guess you need that. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hiya, John. Wow, I'm just seeing this now. I'm not on UA-cam as often as I'd like. I'm glad you reached out by email and thank you for your business and support!

I've had your average joes grips for about 3 months and love them! Well done, the grips hold on to you and you get the exact size you want 👍
Super happy that you're lovin' your grips! Thank you for sharing this feedback. I appreciate it. Cheers, Joe

6:06 you should put the OEM one on that handle so everyone can see how crappy it looks compared to yours since there's no bezel integration lol

Sold me. Going to put an order soon. Great work and detail!
Thank you for your kind words. I hope they will live up to your expectations once you try them in person. Cheers, Average Joe
I’m sold, Joe.

Looks cool, definitely going to get one once i work my way up to the 90lb exp kit
Sweet! I'm glad you like the appearance. I believe you'll be pretty happy with them once you finally snag a pair. Cheers and happy holidays!

Teaser of the powerblock mod you mentioned a while back :)?

What did this mod have to do with?

I can’t wait to get my 35mm’s! Great video Joe!

How would you compare your grips to the grips provided by baresteel equipment? They are also stainless steel now and have a good knurling.

Will these work with the powerblock EXP 90 lb dumbbells? The ones I have have the black sandwich loaf plate design

Amazing knurled grips from joe, i feel that my power blocks with joe’s knurl grips are of better quality than the hammer and strength hex dumbbells.
Aww man, thanks Adam! I really appreciate your kind words, and I'm super stoked that you love the grips! Happy holidays!
What is the website? Do you sell any other powerblock u90 pro exp accessories?
