  • @6idangle

    He makes a good point about their compressors, if you have ever tried playing any of their stuff they have a lot of tapping patterns that are pulled off, or hammered on, or tapped at the 21st fret and you legit cannot hear them without compression, for example the sleeping tea outro.

    • @roblosh8417
      @roblosh8417 3 роки тому +14

      This. I’ve never had a pedal before so I’ve been doing the tapping and hammer ons and stuff raw, and I think I’ve gotten acceptably consistent with it but you literally do need compression as a human being to really pull it off lol. So I just ordered my first pedal, the Warden :)

    • @solargarlic1
      @solargarlic1 2 роки тому +10

      Anyone wanting to play this kind of stuff absolutely needs a compressor, there's no way to make these taps/pull offs/hammer ons audible otherwise without using tons of distortion. Especially their stuff that's all clean tones, like most of their S/T album. It's really tough to get that level of compression without losing attack and getting a squished sound though, so I really want to look into this model.

    • @agustinebeltran7795
      @agustinebeltran7795 Рік тому +1

      @@solargarlic1 U can't forget the booster too. I'm not a wizard when it comes to pedals but compressors compress your signal (lol we all know that) but boosters boost your signal. So basically u can seriously get a more audible tone and compress it!

    Now i'm interested in eqd warden and arrows.
    I have a mp fgc, and was wondering how it differs from eqd warden, and like what's better for overall optical compressor.
    Also, i'm planning to buy a lgw for a mild-mid dirty boost, but came across eqd arrows.
    Anyone tried out the pedals? Thanks for replying in advance!

    I'm like that too with my gear. I won't go on and on explaining what it does. I just know it sounds good & I get to play the damn thing.

    Hey Premium Guitar, if you could do a rig rundown of Sean Lennon's gear from the Lennon Claypool Delirium, I bet that would be a cool one. Hell you could do Less' stuff while you're at it. I'd sure like to get a look at that.
