It is good that the spotlight is finally on this subject. Professor T. Grandin is correct about High Schools ( teenagers) need to put back hands on curriculum- music , shop, cooking , etc. . Glad to see workers is industry get their shine for hard work . Keep up the good work Aminah Moseley .

    *More About Us* :
We autistic people tend to be different, but in some good ways. Our alleles overlap with those of higher intelligence. A lot of us have higher intelligence that might not be noticed *_because_* of our social differences (when neurotypical (normal) people see us, they don't want to interact with or to get to understand us once they realise we are socially different because we are socially different. But they don't realise that sometimes, that in and of itself, can be a sign that we are of higher intelligence. Some of us cannot verbally talk. But we can via technology. But, I've noticed, too, that sometimes, some of us don't verbally talk because some of us don't want to talk unless it is about something that is logical and/or interests us deeply. That could be why the ice skater didn't verbalise all his life until he saw ice skating on t.v. He then finally verbalised. We tend to think in visual ways, which could be why echolalia is done... as a means for us to catch up on what was last auditorily said near or to us.
