This game was played in the "Bullet Chess Winner's Blitz" according to the Chessbase database. Since I didn't make it clear in the video, black's main mistakes were: 1. Playing a5 and taking on c3 with his pawn. This gave white's knight access to the b5 square and opened up the c-file for white's rook. (at 5:36 in the video) 2. Surprisingly Ba6 was a mistake. The move looks natural, but black needs to remove his queen as quickly as possible from the c7 square to avoid the bishop on f4 and the rook on c1. (at 5:59 in the video)
Dawg this one is insane and it legit taught me like four different things about the jobava alone. I do really think that’s its bad to not go for that forced fork after Nc6 in the beginning but it may be because he either just wanted to try out that fianchetto (which is insane btw I gotta study this more), or he wasn’t familiar/didn’t want to deal with the cautious defense after the rook for knight
Wow! With his explosive Nd5 sacrifice Firouza found a way to make Black’s queenside pawn pushes to back fire in a big way. Excellent commentary… especially like the run down of how if black plays his Bishop out white can punish an early Bf5. So much excellent analysis with the ideas logically laid out! Bravo.

And the biggest mistakes are 5... Nc6 6. Nf3 (Nb5!). Btw, do check what the Carlsbad structure is: e.g. it arises from the QGD after cd5 ed5.
Thanks Dawg
Oops, that went fast, and no apparent blunder by Black, or? Quite amazing!
You do great chess commentary. You would be a good meteorologist too!
That was a brutal win!
Came across this channel the first time and like the way you break down and explained the gameplay. Will be looking out for more!

That escalated quickly
Hello John , luv your channel and your history and analysis….in this game when Ali plays his knight sacrifice, can black play knight to e5?
Wow, thanks for introducing me to the fianchetto idea. Will certainly see how it works out in my games
Nice❤
Thanks
I think I'll give it a go👍
Interesting is 3...c5 4.e3 a6 followed by 5...b5.
I like how White's bishop in the corner gets to kick back and stretch out. He'll be called in if anything goes down.
I'm humbly ask why didn't he fork and take rook with knight at beginning
Lol 5... Nc6 is resignable against Firouzja.
I played that like 3 days before this video
Super game
Black needs to play Qc7! instead of o-o with an equal game
Its bullet, but the black player looks like a novician against the beast Alireza.
Can we get some games from the Speed Chess Championship? Also would be nice in the intro if you said when and where the game took place.
Yes, I will be covering games from that event. There have been too many amazing games to keep track of them all.
@@chessdawgNo worries… fans of your channel (myself included) enjoy whatever you post.. whenever you post it. Cheers!
