Agreed. I'm no drone expert, however I think we're about to get huge steps in drone AI, with proximity and follow me and height settings all amped up. There's no reason why a drone can't be 2 or 3 m from the surfer, 1 m above water height with the ability to get up and out of danger's way when needed. Exciting times ahead
I agree! Drones have already changed photography by making it more accessible. Before drones, to get the shots they got in this video, you would need to hire a helicopter and have a camera guy hanging out the side of it. Helicopters are not cheap to rent lol. FPV drones are also revolutionizing photography. Search for Johnny FPV and you'll get a good idea of what they're capable of.
Lawrence Atkinson 100%. We think the same way. I spend half my life imagining what technology is going to do soon. I foresee all the same things. Exciting is a poor word for what i feel. Just the displacement of such a mass of water will have your stomach twist and turn. The biggest waves i surfed were just 10ft and the moment these things are about to jack up makes your stomach drop when not used to it. And i am not used to it.... i am a beginner.
With a couple small differences: even the densest snow has only half the density of water; waves keep coming one after the other.
