Nice video man. Getting 20tons is OK if the target is flying a loaded T9 but i go for less than that, i do it for the RolePlay only. I would heavily suggest to automate your messaging, for example i have automated my "Stop" msg (its 3-4 lines MSG) my "first warning MSG" my "final warning MSG" and my "thank you msg". i use voiceattack program, i manualy private msg the CMDR and then i let the program write it for me so i dont waste time writing. Also i stick to the RP part and never say "please" xD but i do thank the CMDR in the END for the RP oportunity that he/she provided. Nice video :)
I'm a nice pirate 😊 and well, yeah, I do it just for roleplay too, even more so when the prices Are as low as here. I have automated my Initial one, but haven't the others as I though it might just be a bit too much alt-tabbing 😃
Any PvP piracy vid gets a thumbs up from me! Just curious: why didn't you hatch break that non compliant T7 before blowing it up? Waste of cargo :) Actually I would normally just kill the PP and leave the ship intact, just hanging there, to avoid the notoriety ..
I don't have hatch breakers on this ship, it might seem like a weird choice for a pirate ship, but yeah, I just dont like how the cargo often bugs out when hatch breaked (just my experience). And yeah, sometimes happens that people just dont interact with me whatsoever and just drift with engines offline for 5+ minutes, even after I wrote them how to do reboot/repair. In those cases I usually just leave, but I dont even put these in videos as they are pretty boring interactions. I killed this guy cuz the system is anarchy so I didnt even get any notoriety, and because I gave him a choice 2 times and he made it pretty clear he didnt mind if he was destroyed so I did :D
@@cmdrHeliaxx that makes sense yeah. As you say, hatch breakers aren’t perfect and in a negotiation situation with a player you want to choose your cargo if possible anyway. Anyway good to see piracy is still alive. I’ll probably try and join in the next CG
@@captpugwash8915 many options. grom bombs mandatory then lower shields and go either for drives or fsd with either packhounds, multis or superpen railgun for fsd. I got many cutters, usually traders and miners are greedy so they will have small shields and escape in straight line. start shooting him asap and when he charges FSD shoot a grom. in overall you will have 1 minute approx to immobilize target, that's enough given traders badly fitted ships and awful pip management. then, if the ship is well fitted then he will get through, biggest untold ED secret that carebears never understood. with those guys go for pickpocketing. most people clog anyway.
You ought to see CMDR Heliaxx destroying gankers. Gankers, you know, the idiots that mindlessly shoot cargo, weaponless, and exploration ships? Yeah those. Piracy is written into the game code. He doesn't even make a ton of money from the stolen loot, especially in this near-no-money CG. I feel like piracy in a small ship is much more fun, cause CMDRs feel less threaten. In my Krait 2 with 3 paci frags their kinda nervous from the get go and many just wont stopp. The killing of tradeships is very lame in my opinion, but i am trying to be as nice as possible and never kill anyone. Have you tried hatchbreaker limpets? cause they only take 1 small internal and get the job done on reluctant cmdrs. I robbed cmdr wraith as well ;-) a very nice guy! He asked about my kids as well...

A pirate without hatch breakers? And, that T7 had 288t... and you ask for TWENTY!?... I would've asked for like, 80-100. Still less than half, but enough to make the choice feel like it has any weight at all. FD pls fix piracy
I don't typically use hatch breakers as then the Cargo has tendency to bug out, plus I'm usually able to convince people to abandon some for me willingly. And I don't ask for much because I don't do it for profit at all, So I don't have any need to steal any significant amount from them, I want it to be enjoyable encounter for everyone and I certainly don't want these CMDR's to lose credits from the trade.
Good thing i only play in solo so I do not have to have my game time and effort wasted by someone getting a kick out of ruining peoples day but calling it "role play" in bad faith. More like role play to be assholes.

I had people tell me, "you made my day" by doing almost the exact same thing. Breaking the monotony of the grind. So i think some people can cope with the pvp elements while others tend to get overwhelmend and regress back into solo mode. If you cant cope with a nice, decent CMDRs like Heliaxx, youre surely not equiped to handle open in any capacity.
In other words, you want to take off, fly in one direction, stare 40 seconds at a loading screen, fly in one direction, land and then repeat that for several hours just so you can have virtual money.
Just where was the bad faith exactly? All the interactions except for one were good natured, and if you go on the fdev forums you'll find an overwelming support for role play piracy in open. Funny how an NPC interdicting you is just fine, but a person is not, don't you like people much?

hatching is space pickpocketing, piracy is not hatching (even though I did it hundreds of times)
