Funny thing is i have been trying this position a lot without understanding it when i was a 4 stripe white belt early blue 10 years ago because i liked to go for kimura and felt strong to step over with a leg a have a good anchor point to break the kimura defense or start with a belly down armbar. Then i had a long break from bjj due to work, and when i returned about a year and a half ago i have totally went away from this position. But since i play a lot know with reverse kimura from the bottom i can also return this step over leg to bring more danger to the game. Going strong as purple now. 💜💪🏻
