James, second channel dedicated to this please! great teaching style.
James is a great example to anyone of commitment, and the power of intent and gratitude. He discovered Australia, has made the very most of that opportunity. His adopted country is grateful, thanks for casting your lot with us, mate.
Thanks for posting-would love to see more of this. I started BJJ because of you and Israetel. Thanks, brother.
Been training BJJ/MMA for about 6 years now at a bunch of gyms. You’re a good teacher, you break things down into a very simple way. Loads of guys overcomplicate things, you method seems natural
This video is absolutely gold, as a newish white belt, I love watching this stuff to help me try and improve, not the submissions as such but working on the other stuff (foundational stuff)
Loving the BJJ videos! Keep them coming
Thank you so much for sharing insights on closed Gaurd. I have some
Great takeaways. Looking forward to upping my game with the inside Gaurd submissions. Can’t wait for class.
Totally enjoyed this video! Need more such videos. This was beautifully explained and super useful for a white belt like me
Good to see some BJJ content, I started BJJ a year an a half ago, love it, belated congrats on your brown belt! I’ll need to try that TeePee choke 👌🏻😎
Loved this class, will be trying the teepee choke tomorrow! 🤙🏻 I'm sure others will follow if you set up a Jits only channel 👌🏻
A whole heap of great details here - good class.
Angles make Strangles!
great video! need more of these!
Yes. Been waiting for more BJJ content. You have a great teaching style. Keep it up
Keen to see your instructionals in a couple years ;)
Doing and teaching are two very different skill sets. You definitely are a good teacher :)
Brilliant video, great idea to expand the content and as a recent jiu jitsu starter i learned loads here, thanks
Great class! Nice one James 👍🏻
Hi james more of this please, thank you :)
James you're an excellent teacher.
I've only ever done Judo, so it's pretty interesting to see how BJJ does its own thing, but the key fundamentals are very similar. Great vid james.
James, we definitely need more of these bjj videos
Love this as a full guard player.
Teepee choke is going to be a great addition!
as always, great content thank you
This was proper good btw man. 👏
Yes -- love the BJJ content!
Great teaching, more BJJ stuff please
Love the bjj video’s!!
Excellent video, I learned a lot
Bjj content is bliss
Well done mate. I don’t know bjj but that looked very professional!! 🏴
i wanna second channel of just BJJ related, pretty please? You teach so well
Love your BJJ content
Great class. Oh at 11:43 if they use their right arm instead you can grab it pull it across and get an armbar. If they yank the arm out, triangle. Probably one of my most used sequence in closed guard.
Ohh that’s a sneaky little choke with the lapel ! Definitely gonna try that’s at open mat 😅
As a Bjj guy I liked this one! Almost feel like a class instead of the tutorial that only show the technique
Please do more of these
When I started following your videos I didn’t even know you did BJJ, this video was awesome when’s the BJJ fanatics instructional coming out? - sincerely struggling Blue Belt 😂
Just started training BJJ. Perfect timing
I was talking to a mate about how shit my close guard is yesterday. Cheers James. Love the BJJ content.
Please keep posting these!
More James bjj content🙌
More vids like this please
More of this please
thanks for this video james, i hope you post more jiu jitsu video's
Oh no its becoming another Jits Channel.
I did like the triangle lesson though - well explained and demonstrated.
beautiful designer mullets as well as an awesome video stay blessed OUS
Here for this
swear this dude gets gifted belts
I didn’t know you did BJJ, you kept that quiet 😁
Teepee choke haven’t seen that before thanks!
Yep, this was sick, would love more of this content. JSA instructional coming soon
Curious as to your reasons for not liking to submit from the bottom?
I'm back training BJJ after time off due to having a Preemie baby, covid and injuries. firstly I have zero interest in teaching or setting up a school going forward , also worry about competing due to age and injuries., also not really interested in talking about BJJ 5 times aday like most people, My why I train is more to do with something to commit too or something to learn new. At brown belt do you need to teach ?
More BJJ content please!!
Nice.
You guys do open Mats?
Please do more Jiu-jitsu tutorials
ive done bjj on and off, i did it from ages 9-12 and then for a few weeks when i turned 18. I found it was just too expensive!! I want to know if its just specific to my local spot. what is a reasonable rate for classes? also, how often would you train if cautious about the cost?
I pay £80 a month and go about 12-15x a month. It has a gym as well so I can do some weights too.
@@lehoff 12 to 15 times a week?? Are you unemployed? lol
@@Larz1000000 oops. I meant a month! I don't think my body (I'm in my 40s) could cope with that!🤣
@@lehoff I pay £75 for gym and bjj but that's definitely at the cheaper end of things, other gyms in my area are £65 - 90 a month.
@@kenn3250 worth every penny IMO especially if you find a good gym with good people.
White belt here, hips up on the triangle was a missing piece for me.
What blows my mind when rolling is how many people don’t break a lapel grip when they are in a closed guard…. Everything is set up from it…. More of these please
When I was a white belt I'd get people in my closed guard and hold on for dear life and think that meant I had a guard that people couldn't pass....
Right, Get on BJJ fanatics and get some full vids out, enjoyable watch
in space, closed guard and mount is the same thing 😂
Keep doing the BJJ content!! So I don’t have to pay for instructionals lol
more bjj content pls
I get pissed off when I see good instruction online and then have to sit through crap instruction in my own gym. Comparison is the thief of joy, again Thanks James
It’s very good but you need Andy Binns on 🥋👍🏻
Moar!
shit you do train gi. nice! congrats on the brown belt.
I would have forgotten everything let alone teach someone else lol 😂😂😂
"To be perfectly honest I don't like submitting from underneath" ... anyway let me show you a triangle from closed guard! 😆
James is so profound sometimes. "The way I see Gi Jiu-jitsu is it's just No-Gi, but with a Gi on." That's some deep insight.
Also... Really enjoy your BJJ vids
I wasn't sure if it was a funny video 😂😂 or an instructional indeed
3 years to reach Brown belt from Blue... We got a UK BJ Penn people :o
I think he got his blue belt In 2018 and his purple in 2021… 3 years in between play competing sounds like a decent pace. He’ll sit in brown for a couple more years though
James is still a white belt at kick boxing
Awww you feeling threatened
@@angus_white lol anus_white 😂 mad
You thinking holding someone in your closed guard was a sign of being macho says it all really 🌈
love u👩❤️💋👨
More jiu jitsuuuu videos
i dont agree with the 'never say no when a higher belt asks for a roll' (it says this on their gym wall). No matter what belt you are, you can always refuse a roll. youre the paying customer, its your basic right to decide if you dont want to roll with someone. this is actually an extremely toxic thing to do.
You sound like a wet wipe
It’s taken a turn this channel. Bet the views are down on this content
This is so helpful 🫱🏼🫲🏻
