I love the Marbles original. I have two of them.
I was very happy when I heard Tops was remaking it.
I got mine today and it's everything I hoped for.

Looks like a great knife and finally a sheath that doesn’t suck. Might need to get one of these.

What size glove do you wear?

    Is it actually functional?

Yep, as long as it gets sharp I consider a knife functioable. Comfort is largely personal preference and skill has the majority to do with performance IMO

I know they call it "Woodcraft" but it kinda misses the mark for me. Not traditional enough.

Traditional is cool but the traditional knives were made to exactly what the designer liked, not necessarily the next dude. This blade is no different. Traditional in a different country could be a machete for woodcraft. That's the beautiful thing about people is that we can be different. 🙌 thanks for watching

@@bushcraftkelso2013 I was so brief in my comment that what I meant didn't come across. This particular knife is named "Woodcraft" after the patented 1916 Marble's Woodcraft knife which it emulates somewhat by blade geometry and styling. That particular knife was one of the most imitated models of the 20th century. Most were very close copies with micro departures in geometry, and some had handle variations such as bone or stag while still using the hidden tang or dual split tang construction in a traditional manner. When you hang yourself out there using the name of or attempting to ride the coat tails of a legendary model, you really gotta get everything right so that it flows together either traditionally or with a departure that is a worthy improvement over the original, either esthetically or functionally, and preferably both. The particular knife profiled here has full tang construction which leaves the haftner in a bit of a limited position as to how to execute the handle. This particular "take" on handle design is fully functional. However it follows the look of other knife styles so extreme that it just appears out of place on a knife that was obviously started or intended to be a throwback to the original "Woodcraft" of 107 years ago. That's why I say the knife missed it's mark for me. Not traditional enough to be "Woodcraft" enough for my tastes. Also I find virtually nothing about the traditional "Woodcraft" knife or this one to have anything in common with a machete, other than both are cutting tools. Apples and oranges. Maybe you misunderstood that the name "Woodcraft" really means a very specific knife pattern or model and not a discipline, pursuit, or task like "bushcraft" which has great specific meaning to a lot of us these days. Enjoy your your new knife. It obviously is going to be a very good "Bushcraft" blade even if it isn't a perfect variant "Woodcraft" blade. Thanks for doing the review video. I'm subscribing. NowI have to get back to shopping for my next "perfect" blade obsession.

Considering the very short handle and basic blade steel, this knife is way overpriced.

Man thanks for sharing but just wondering, it seems that you used the knife before, why didn’t you do some cutting on screen then?

I dont mind doing it, but it's going to show what I can do with a knife not necessarily what the knife can do
