You have saved and preserved another true classic car, fantastic work, by yourself and the family, people keep carping about expense and how much it cost !!, but they dont realise how visceral these cars are, and the fact that money spend on having the work done properly, is cheaper in the long run, and far better than buying one full of filler and bodgery
With your fabrication skills, I may have done sunroof delete. Great job lads, how nice for a future owners of this car to have this video available. 👍🏼
Wow what an incredible video and such a bright and expert when it came to getting all that rust out and fabrication of replacement parts! Welding was perfect as well! Just an incredible nice video thank you so much!
Nice work on this and the car. My dad has a very similar 1986 that was his daily driver in the Midwest USA and he put over 300k miles on it. It certainly needs this kind of love.
Before anything else:your vids are GREAT!!!! Very informative, nice music, clear explanation; excellent!!! And your skills are unbelievable….. Doing this restauration now appears to be very good timing!! Of course, like always, rust has progressed so much more than one would think; waiting another ten years it would ‘ve been too late for this car! Now after the welding is done protection against rust, into the smallest corners is of importance; I think you use Zinc-spray which is very good!!! But I assume that some sort of greasy/oily/waxy substance will be injected too??
nice work, do you guys not use clecos over there? could have clecod the door/hood hinges and fender location to save alot of time with fitup, they are a lifesaver
I watch the retro power cars channel, which was recommended if you like to know the details of builds, and let me tell you, they do a lot of interesting builds. They have previously talked about acid dipping versus blasting and state that they used to acid dip, then found the acid was being neutralised in all areas, so would continue to attack bad and good metalwork. They now blast in house. Paint stripper on external panel applied with a brush is workable however.
@engineer6250 thank you for the insight. Much appreciated. I will definitely go and watch their channel. It would be interesting to see what they are up. Once again thank u for the info. It clears a lot of questions from my side,,
@engineer6250 all good sir👍 Yes of cause. I agree 100%. No need to add to the already many negatives that is going around us. We only live ones and in every way we should strive to make the world a better place.
Porsche should do this rust protection job properly before the car was handed out to customers. Customers should be treated fairly for the money they spent for such as Porsche trash..
Incredible attention to detail and no short cuts and bodging in your work unlike the previous repairers.
Exceptional skills shown👏
You are the owner of 2 golden master hands, young man
How you guys remember where it all goes back...hats off to that expertise, never mind the actual metal work...which is fantastic.

No more than fair I’ld say….
When can I bring my car??
Followed every vid on this car, really good to see. Did mine in 1988, but in a single car garage...

BADA BING BADA BOOM
BADA BING BADA BOOM!!! Love it
Have you tried running a flame over the exterior black plastic trim? If it's thermoplastic they will come up like new.
Can we have a look at the Imp coupe/sunbeam stilleto in the background sometime? 😊
CLASS!
Certainly put me off even thinking of buying an old air cooled Porsche 🤯
The red is a great colour. But I saw it somehow in sort of white. Well, just personal preference only
Do you not have heat in that building? You are doing this in the cold?
Will we see the BMW E9 on the channel?
Im amazed it all went back together. Thought it would remain as a huge pile of rusty pieces.
How many hours of work done from start to finish?
I've watched almost every episode and always forget to ask... Where's the music from?
Crackin
Soundtrack?
Trousers are not a big deal. We can always weld up together
Have you considered making use of acid baths instead of doing things the way you do now, removing all the paintwork manually

@@nevillesmith9795 my pleasure. It's nice to have a civilised interaction on YT.
Amazing work. Can you give me a rough idea of how much the resto cost?

Whens the poor old Suzuki going to get some TLC?
It's looking all forlorn and abandoned in the back.
What is happening to matts car
Isn't it completed a while ago?
Come on lads more videos of the cars more content please loyal fan
You build a brand new car from scratch to the Eiffle Tower
Any update on Mat Amstron’s BMW
Dunno bout you but your starting to look like a werewolf or Peter Sutcliffe
Lots of cavities and overlaps for rust to form in these cars.
Your videos are always full of creativity and originality. Thank you for the inspiration!🦐🟣⛹️
Not going to tell you again knuckles, Dad show him how to close a hood
Not sure what pressure your using to close a bonnet, but using my fists to close it spreads the load. It doesn't require much pressure to close...
@@yorkshirecarrestorationYou’re doing fine. I close mine with spread fingertips.

Great work hubby follows you but please stop the bad da bing rubbish you have said it so many times in this video it has become so annoying.
Do you own that laser machine or rent it in? Cheers
Thank you for your efforts! Your videos are always so interesting and professional. Keep it up!👠🌸🛖
