  • Not all purple gear is good. Actually, it can set you back if you do not pay attention. Level up your blue gear while you farm for the epics you want. Also, it is ALOT cheaper to level blue gear to increase your CP enabling you to enjoy more co-op dungeons as you grind away for the epic gear you want for your class and build.

I fully recommend getting your weapons to purple as a rush item. Maintain max blue armor and accessories until you can replace them with already max trained purple gear. Easy 3k - 3.1k GS and fully viable

I finally got my staff to max level purple. It is not a fast process for sure! Working on getting a longbow now.

Yes and no. It all depends on your build and your current requirements.
Easiest thing to do is, get to lvl 50, get the purple chest for your build. (Make sure you have a build in mind). Get blue gear THAT goes with your build, has the trait rolls you need.
Then, when you farm open world dungeons, use the blues that drop their (aka grabage drops), and level it up and fully trait it. The reason for that is, you raise your good blue gear passively while maxing a garbage gear to transfer that into the purple that works with your build.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND to trait your equipped blue with bad traits. Bad traits handicap you. CP means nothing if your traits are trash or dont go with your builds focus.
I would rather be a 2400 cp with good traits over 2800 cp with bad traits/traits that do not benefit of synchronize with the build.
Im 3200 and since Ive been 2600 I have been fighting people with 3400-3600 cp but some are just fully trast trait built and they are easy targets. CP is partially irrelevant.

I understand what you mean by using bad traits. However, the problem casual players are going to run into is the lack of lucent to afford some of the best traits for a build they are working on. Unfortunately, that results in only being able to buy the bad/cheap traits. Yes, I know it is not horribly bad to farm dungeons to get the blue gear with the traits you want, but it does require a bit of time investment and RNG. Thats for the comment, too :)

I still run with blue pants with ants nest just for the stats it has. 200 melee evasion. No other purple pants has that. I’m 3300 btw. I also use the blue ring fully maxed out.
