Mini Cooper S R53 Front Subframe Replacement Part 1

The current front subframe definitely needs to be replaced as there is no way it would pass its next MOT.
In this video I make a start on getting ready to drop the old subframe.
Still a few things to do before being able to do so but at least we’ve made a start.

I got hit on the passenger side my transmission shifted closer to subframe any suggestions on how i can get subframe to lower without doing all that...

Gutted for you matey!! To be honest that is a really difficult question to answer without seeing. You do actually need to do quite a lot of it to drop the subframe regardless. Hope you can get it sorted. Let me know how you get on. 🤞
