One of the best Mortal Kombat games. It only loses to Deception when it comes to the dark, brutal tone, fatalities and kombos, but has everybody to that date and their Konquest mode is just amazing. I'm happy they eventually embraced a lot of Armageddon in the new trilogy, even though I deeply miss the influence of Deception.
Quan chi in Armageddon **gets his leg broken and proceeds to walk it off** Quan chi in mk 10 **falls off a horse and goes in a weaken state** Quan chi in mk 11 ...
I personally didn't like Quan Chi much, but i had to respect him. NRS has done him dirty by putting Quan Chi in MKX. Anybody could beat him, like, what the hell? At least in MK4 and MK Armageddon, he was the real threat. But in MKX, Quan Chi basically looked like a little bitch.
Ok MK I'm going to be real with you I never really see you play old games, but when I saw this, I was in joy ARMAGEDDON is one of the best MK games in my opinion- Large roster too, Taven was badass
And now we know Kronika is partially behind this event just to make sure Raiden sends the message to himself back to the past in MK9. My best guess is that her son Shinnok was going to die one way or another in the aftermath of Armageddon and she again wants to prevent that.
Midway went bankrupt and then everything was switched to Netherrealm Studios, and NRS decided to change everything back to 2.5D, but of course the graphic for the characters is still 3D

@@wolfhurricane897 they already do mutli-fighting styles, it's called Variations. Besides, 98% of the fighting styles in these games didn't fit the characters anyways and came off as a poor man's Tekken.
Ah the old MK games, where you didn’t have to rely on kombos to win, now broken characters. I really like the MK’s 9, 10 and 11, but this was my first entry to the MK franchise
Ahh, the memories... I played this so much, even when I was sick of it. I remember having headaches at some point, thinking "Can't take killing characters anymore"... but for some stupid reason, I used to play it all over again. Fuckin' hated Shao Kahn Colossus back then... giant mf!! lol Anyway, good times... when my pleasure in life was to be in front of the tv for hours and hours (stopped playing video games after PS2).

They need to put one of the brothers as DLC. Probably Daegon as the Red Dragon are still apart of the current timeline. Interesting that he still exists as well as Taven but their overall purpose for existence has probably changed the most out of all the characters in the canon series

Damn this takes me back. I think it took me about a week to complete the story. It was good, but I prefer Deception's story mode. It was the closest thing to an MK open world that we'll probably ever get.
While I will always be a much bigger fan on the PlayStation consoles, the original Xbox will always hold a special place in my heart because of this game. It was the firsts console I ever owned
I prefer the konquest mode like shaolin monks, unchained, and armageddon A real interactive and engaging konquest mode Not just a cinematic with matches like from mk 9 moving forward I missed the days when you go through portal like in shaolin monks or full free roam ish like unchained. I wish mk12 would revert back to this format☹️
I notice they dropped a lot of characters after the company sold the rights to Mortal Kombat before 9 and this was the last one they ever made before that happened but it's sure is strange.
To be fair, the end of MK11 Aftermath was good enough. Hell, everything was recreated MK11 the MK Armageddon way. Shang Tsung in MK Armageddon betrayed Shao Kahn, just like the same thing repeated in MK11. However, there are bad things in MK11 that i have to agree with you. For example, let's start with Sindel. She sucks.

Watching this whole thing on a separate screen in August 2021 while I'm working. Good old memories, they don't make the games as well as they used to when the MK team were with Midway.
@@Reedboi It does, if think Midway's Mortal Kombat and NRS Mortal Kombat as two different timeline. Midway's Mortal Kombat is a universe, NRS Mortal Kombat is a multiverse and the beginning of MK9 was ONE of the timeline in that Multiverse.
Actually mortal combat game is really great graphics and terrific character and very cool design and detail and realistic character r amazing ever very despicable and unbelievable game ever very exciting game ever very extraordinary and fascinating game ever very cool performance and entertainment and entertaining excitement game ever very nice fantastic.
I cant remember if Deception had a better Konquest mode or was this better, but regardless. This game has such Kontent in it, a good Konquest, racing, arcade, create a fighter, vs. And at the time had online. Full character roster and each fighter had 2 stances. Just so much stuff jam packed in the game, no dlc, just a full game at release.
If you could have just 1 power from this game to have for your time on earth as a human what would it be? Also I hope who sees this is blessed with wealth, health and happiness for everever.
It would definitely be Blaze's Godlike power since it can be used for just about anything anyone would need or want such as creating a different timeline as well as resurrecting a dead family member or members.
2 things 1. This game had one of the best story modes in the franchise 2. I know I’m not the only one who thinking that instead of Onaga grabbing Shao Khan and flying off why didn’t he just fly to the top of the Pyramid

Only reason I say Armageddon is because of Undead Liu Kang vs Shang Tsung was the greatest thing my 12 year old mind could perceive at the time.
Yeah. Taven was clearly meant to replace Liu Kang, even has his signature fight ending pose and has a style called Gold Dragon

Exploring the 6 realms in Deception's Konquest mode was always a delight for me. I loved finding all the hidden secrets too.
Deception is my all time favorite video game. I love Armageddon but the death traps used to piss me off lol

He wanted to torture Shao Kahn for poisoning him and dethroning him when he was originally the true emperor of Outworld
My question is how did shao Khan get back to the pyramid if Onaga grabbed him and flew FAR away from the pyramid?🤔
