  • Overall recommendation: Go with this if you are on a budget to save on shipping (and save more on Black Friday), are a handy person that loves a good challenge and don't mind a fatter pull up bar.

    Odd. Mine came on a pallet with a bunch of individual boxes. Was delivered by freight too.
    I also felt it went up super easy to get up. I measured twice. Mounted my stringers, then followed the instructions.

      REALLY! dang, that's awesome. Maybe I chose the wrong delivery method or they recently changed that. My instructions were awful, not sure if maybe they updated that too. Do you have a grade to the floor it was mounted on? That was my main issue with putting it up (not the rigs fault) as there's about an inch drop on the left upright (and its slightly bent).

    Great review, thank you. By chance did you figure out a solution for grade in garages?

    • @JohnKonye

      I put ¼ in thin stall mats under the platform to offset the drop.

    Would you say buying this on Black Friday is the cheapest? How much percent off did you get? Great video by the way

      Samuel Nunez yes, I think it was something near or just over 30%. Amazon has good pricing and you can always take a look at marketplace apps (letgo) for good deals. Thank you!

    I see you did use the wall stringer. Let me know if you want to sell the stringer. They are currently out of stock on the Titan website.

    I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've taken 2 whole nights to try and put this together and it still doesn't work. The instructions are terrible and non-existent. For how much time and money I've now spent on this rack, I could've purchased the PRX or Rogue

    How much room is there on each side of the barbell? I have heard it is very tight when reracking.

    3 weeks to build sheesh! I built mine in about 2 hours by myself. The hardest art was getting the 2x10x8s on the wall

      KixNxtDoor ya (obviously not 3 weeks of work) it was hard to focus on and my slanted garage floor was the main problem.

      John Konye yea that’s something I didn’t run into fortunately. All in all I like the rack. It’s a no frills rack that gets the job done

    I'm going to buy a folding rack. Why would you need/want a 41 inch over a 21 inch rack? I'm genuinely curious, not talking shit. Thanks.

    • @JohnKonye
      @JohnKonye  3 роки тому

      Just depends on the space you have and if you want the extra space while working out. 21 folds better (down center).

      I bought the 21" rack. Plenty of room to bench/squat, and get a spotter in there for bench if necessary. The only reason, personally, I can see for 41" depth is for kipping pull ups & more luxerious room for a spotter behind you, if that's a factor.

    What size screw did you use to mount the actual rack into the board?

      Used the provided bolts.

    What were the distances from the floor that you mounted the wall attachments? What is the distance between the uprights? Thanks

    • @JohnKonye
      @JohnKonye  2 роки тому

      I do not remember sorry. If you lay the uprights down and pin the pull up bar to them, you could guestimate by measuring the width there. The arm goes strait back, arm is center to the bolt holes, ect for the distance between uprights.
      From floor, its up to you I think, but don't bank on my advice. Another reason I was super disappointed with titan. Worst instructions ever.

    is this good to mount on drywall studs? The holes in the retaining bracket look distant so I feel it'll be wider than the studs.. any suggestions pls?

    • @JohnKonye

      Gerry Paci really just comes down to space. I thought it would be to crunchy for me with the 21” for pull ups, but when I looked at my friends 21” rogue rack, would have been fine

    Sorry, but a con on not knowing how to build it seems to fall more on you than the manufacturer. I could imagine most people being able to build this without needing any instruction if they have any carpentry skills at all. Complicated build, had 5 pieces to put together.

    • @JohnKonye
      @JohnKonye  Рік тому +1

      Sick condescending comment 🤣. The rack is garbage. I got the rogue folding rack and it was a quick install. It’s about quality of parts and they had several pages to reference.
