  • I've had the Rogue Folding Rack (R-3W) for 3 years! In this video, I discuss which squat rack I would purchase today if I were starting from scratch.

    Great video. I have the same rack but haven't set it up yet. I have debated on selling it and looking for either a full rack like the RML-490C or the PRX system, but haven't decided.

      If you got the space RML but if want more space def go with PRX imo

    Should I do rack pulls on my prx rack with the spotter arms or will this be bad for the bolts on wall?? I don't want them to get loose over time. I have two buldging disk so I wanna start doing rack pulls instead of deadlifts. There is someone who wants to buy it and will sell it if I can't do rack pulls on it to get rep fitness rack

    Great video! At the 1:50 you talk about potential attachments. What attachments specifically are you referencing?

    • @mygaragegym8582
      @mygaragegym8582  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Ramy - I was talking about an attachment like a dip bar. Most companies build there uprights with 3 x 3 dimension. So any attachment like a dip bar, j cups or plate storage channel would be compatible regardless of who made the attachment. My folding rack has 2 x 3 uprights which is less common, so I have to make sure any attachment I buy is compatible.

    How do I increase my squat depth?

    I'm looking at buying this rack for my home gym. I agree that if you buy this for space saving why get the 40 inch? You make a good point.

      If it was a power rack it would be a different story since you’ll be able to squat and bench inside but for folding rack it’s not necessary. I don’t think most people would need the additional size. Let me know if you end up buying it or something else.

      @@mygaragegym8582 Little bit late here. I'm a tall dude from Europe (so unfortunately Rogue's folding rack is out of question because shipping costs too much) and was trying to find folding rack which would give me more clearance (length from pull up bar to wall) for muscle ups and ring push ups. My home gym has enough space to host this rack and skipping rope. Not both.

    I really can’t see why anyone would justify the 41” size. It’s not a true power rack at the end of the day. You can’t install safety bars or nylon straps. If those aren’t an option, why would you go with that size. I’m genuinely asking. Not trying to be a douche bag. I’m on the fence on buying this rack myself. Thanks for your honest review. Thumbs up from me.

      yea def right, it's not a true power rack. I don't remember if I mentioned in the video but when I bought the rack I was coming from a crossfit gym where we did tons of kipping movements, so that was my reasoning with going for 41. I wanted the extraspace so I didn't feel cramped but to be honest i don't do much kipping of anything anymore.

      So your saying you can't havr spotter arms with the larger 41 size, but you can with the 21 inch version?

    PRX is cool but too expensive for what it offers.

      Also, PRX requires a LOT more height, so won’t fit in a lot of smaller space, which is point of folding rack.

    Coming from a CrossShit gym, i can understand why you went with the 40.5" size - you need a lot of room for flailing kipping movements. Get a real power rack.
