Love this new show...Mike I've watched your shows for years and have always had so much respect for your passion and your kindness towards those you help...I don't see your shows as too much talking but rather a teaching ..step by step explanation for people like myself who love watching building shows...and the best part ...you boys get in and build also love listening to your knowledge...awesome thankyou for a refreshing new show 😊
I saw an episode of this, & they were doing a farmhouse & were putting a half second floor on it, but didn’t see the finish of it. They made the ultimate man space in the garage, by making it a huge workshop & a place the boys can watch the footy. I hope we get the finished product with this build.
When I started to watch this episode, I thought (from my experience) that this was a total rebuild, not a fixer. I respect Mike for “grasping the nettle” so quickly and coming to the same decision. Small wonder no one bought this turkey.
Drainage issues on good soil, right next to a lake? It takes a special talent to screw up that bad. Add a French Drain and water will shoot out like a fire hose.
This one is pretty cool. IDK why they want to make it a commercial property, or maybe they have to. I'm just guessing here, but if they made this a residential, water front property, a house that size would sell for a lot of money.
See this is what I Bizitch about There should be a variance of 25-30% allowed without having to go through all this nonsense. This is why people are disgusted with GOVT. It's JUst stupid and some little P/A gets to act like the Lord of the REALM. Hey dude we pay your salary stop it already.
Mike, you talk about new products. Why not zip sheeting or LPs sheeting. I've been using it for two years. it's unbearable. Sheet tape done. The septic system that you put in fails in 5 to 8 years. Major costs. That system was tryed here in the states years ago no longer allowed.
The Town Council is baggin on you about the pitch of the roof and they have never run city sewage and water. And you are located next to a large body of public water. I'm Just gonna leave that in the Punch Bowl.
hi holmes i love to watch youre vidoes and love what you do but i all so hear bad stuff they claim that youre houses are realy bad please is there away you can show that it is not true i hope so you do that oneday you all so showeed me how the plumming has to be and you guys are true with that i ask not long ago a plummer and he told yes the way i have my plumming is old and has to be newly installed bye my living companey here in netherlands thnks and keep it up i love what you do
Any one saying they aren’t doing a good job is either a shoddy contractor or a disgruntled home inspector…. as a union labourer I have worked with the very best and everyone on these crews is extremely diligent……
I did a lot of research on this subject. From what I understand Mike has responded with "I can't be around 100% of the time. I trusted the wrong people." If you notice as well there are a few companies he no longer partners with.

So impressed with both of you! Congratulations on the new show, and keep "making it right!" You are both awesome!

Its like the wholesome version of orange county choppers... And am here for it.
Great job Holmes boys!! Nice to see it was a total tear down and rebuild. Where is part 2?

Looks like a complete level and replacement
Well? Did you finish it or flush it?
23:45 that cameraman is lucky to be alive. That was close with that beam. 😮
Ah the father son projects together. 😂
It fun to have money

When it is your house, you fit it properly. When it is a flip, you patch it as cheaply as possible

Probably has to do with it being commercial/residential when they bought it, and to change it would require more time or something.
❤
love them both, just a bit too much taking throughout the WHOLE episode. but love them anyway. ty for keeping it real
Will another member join in the flip side from time to time to improve her skills? Mike found a great home to have a business all in one.
You need more than two bedrooms
That Place has so Many issues it needs a shrink.
Property value only offer. You would be over paying at that price, as demolition is expensive.
Why aint this episode called flip to flop?! I get "gone wrong" but man did this place have EVERY thing wrong! No wonder no one wanted the place
Where's Damon??
Perkins builder brothers so much better and its current builds.
Would love 4 u guys to helpme with my basement!!!!!
This is about time but ur dauter should be in it too
$570,000 for a total tear down? I understand the concept and to make money, but for my Pocket, that’s just a lot.
All that wood could have been rrecycled and a new home could have been framed with it. Such a shame.
Where’s Damon
Damon left in 2013 to start his own business.
