So, yet another formulaic Wheeler Dealers spin off. Yet with all that in mind, I really liked it. Thanks for putting it online. Good Luck Ant, Its about time you had some.
I love your parents! They are so cute and funny!👍 Hope this channel goes gangbusters!👍 You're blessed with the great talented people you know! The interior wood turned out amazing!👍 Wow 🎉 I've done roofing and I don't envy you the task but it's got to be done. I've watched you with Mike on the car show and out of all of the mechanics I enjoyed your work the most. Cheers!🎉👍
I've always liked Ant, even when everyone was saying Eds better, i think not, Ant has a good eye for detail and is very methodical in his work. My only gripe is that he says in this episode that he loves 70's Triumphs but then hated with a passion the TR7 that was done on wheeler dealers...ironically using a very similar emgine to the Sprint and also suffering from the same 70's build quality. That Yellow is personally the best colour for a Dolly, my only criticism is the unfortunate sunroof that someone fitted 😢 lovely car though and strong money for sure 👍
I had a friend who brought a dolomite off of a little old lady. It was immaculate. He drove it for a while until one of the coolant hoses let go and the car over heated. He says he did not realise it and when he got home it was so hot he had to put it in gear and stall it. He was so luck though he replaced the hose topped up the coolant and it was good to go. He hadn't warped the head.
I like the contrast from flipping cars .to restoring the house .and I got to say ant ansted was wasted on wheeler dealers. And I wish him all the luck.
Our body guy was very good, he cut out rusty panels using an air chisel with a notched sharp tooth, this rapidly cut the panel out leaving a thin strip round the edge. Then his fellow body worker using mole grips pulled the strip while Lez went round with a welding torch and heated up the spot welds until they let go. in that way the thin remaining strip of metal was removed. Cutting out the major part of the panel gave great access and it was very quick and all spot welds were identified as the thin strip was pulled away.
Really missed his car shows when he popped off to America the last thing i watched was when he built the rather cool old racing car in Ant Anstead Master Mechanic season 1 then COVID HIT
I couldn't afford the sprint in my day, only the 1850 triumph, am I right to say that made a 1850 and a 2.litre sprint, just thought that did, the only issue I had with mine his you could loose the back end around corners, had 3 of these cars and loved every one of them Colin from Croydon Surrey ❤
It's exceedingly difficult to make any decent money fixing up cars and selling them. It's much, much more profitable to take on work that others pay you for. Like, 10 times as profitable. We saw that over and over again on the original wheeler dealer series where the time spent by the mechanic was never factored in, and even then the 'profit' was oftentimes marginal.
Hi ant greetings from Thailand I worked at a b l rover dealers in Jersey so I'm well aware of the rust problems these cars had we had a whole department where we used zybart rust protection don't know if the company is still in business
Dad went for the handbrake that goes back to teaching someone to drive days. Handbrake on in mid turn would have affected the profit😀😀. Go for it whatever it is like the attitude.
A bit ironic, in the same way that my Humber isn't worth all that much as a Mercedes, alas, Triumphs are not worth as much as BMW. Brain washing for the masses. Dolomite Sprints were awesome cars in their day.
It's not brainwashing. I love old triumphs, Rovers and Jaguars. But it is common knowledge that the build quality means they were flawed. Thankfully people have improved them over the years but the BMW and Mercedes were better built, more reliable.
Interesting show, especially since WB DISCOVERY shitcanned MT….fully finished production that looks good and sounds great. It will be interesting to see if any other content makes it to UA-cam in the US….
Not the way you replace a sill, he should have fitted the full sill As would have been better in strength and a better original job. Done enough of sills, floors, arches myself.
Only thing hes born to do is rip off his investers and buyers of a car no ones ever heard of funny havent heard anything from him or a certain jenson button despite all the claims from them that theyve done nothing wrong.......
No, he has joint custody. Just because a show is filmed in the UK doesn't mean he abandoned his child. Just as when he moved to the USA to film Wheeler Dealers he didn't abandon his children in the UK.
Ant Anstead best mechanic on TV i'm gonna enjoy watching all your shows you will have that beautiful cottage finished in no time😊
Great to see him back where he belongs, saving classic cars, 😊

Good Luck Ant, Its about time you had some.
I love this guy. Such a brilliant mechanic.
I’m so hoping that Phil Glenister pops in on a visit in one of these episodes…For The Love Of Cars was a brilliant show
Brilliant show, absolutely brilliant. Thank you

Great to see Ant showcasing his skills, always a pleasure to watch him at work

learned to drive and passed my test in a Dolomite Sprint. A great little motor at the time. Nice to see one being saved by Ant.
One of my all time favourites. I definitely would of paid for that iconic first ever 16v car.
JUST FOUND ANT AGAIN!! His programming, involvement, and projects are "First Cabin". Enjoy his commentary and involvement. Will be following.
Well done Ant, great entertainment .👍
Good to see him back from California, he has lived the dream near the sea with a blonde.
Very nice to see you again doing your masterpieces!
Wow 500yr old that's amazing to me the things you will find during demolition good son good luck ❤
Thanks for sharing your content is great. Take care

Another classic saved ….. all these new cars best for this new adventure

A proper job on the wood trim, nice work 👍
Great job and good price! 😊
I remember watching the Broadspeed Dolomite Sprints tear round Silverstone in the BTCC driven by Andy Rouse & others…..

Great series. Will there be a follow up about the house? Don’t leave us hanging.
beautiful project, salute!!!
Awesome car my uncle had one great fun
Really missed his car shows when he popped off to America the last thing i watched was when he built the rather cool old racing car in Ant Anstead Master Mechanic season 1 then COVID HIT
Love Ant since Wheeler Dealers
😊 Well done you... Combining cars rehab and family. Winner winner chicken dinner.🎉
Love the Doli! Sounds like the starter motor isn’t fully disengaged. Might need a shim or 2.
So glad he is back where he belongs

No Brewer fantastic
Would have been fantastic if this was an Ant & Ed show

"I have no idea what's going on."
Ant, I've always known you were less rather than more.
Never mind, your parents still love you."
Good job only addressing the painfully obvious rust. I'd hate to poke into other sections here and there.
Just wondering how long it will be before edits out all the House restoration parts and .....
Fixing cars and renovating a house … two shows on one 😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣

not a single mention of the pig-ugly aftermarket sunroof.
Great to see some gnarlyer stuff at bpw. Can we have some steep too ?

You can't rag another man's car around a racetrack after you've sold it to him........ 😮
When using a grinder best to use two hands incase it jumps and cuts the other hand
nice
It's going in but it's a bit tight said the actress to the bishop
How come Ants brother sounds like Danny Dyer when Ant is closer to Hugh Grant
Wheleer Deelers with new touch
Great channel. Wear gloves using that grinder, bending rusty panels, man.
Why put it though an auction when you could sell it through the owners club
Inca Yellow ? Wasn’t it Mimosa ?
Back To The mechanics genre minus Mike
3k paint job ?
ear protection
At 39.48 minutes , did anyone notice the Jag XJS from episode 3?
Not the way you replace a sill, he should have fitted the full sill
As would have been better in strength and a better original job.
Done enough of sills, floors, arches myself.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👊👊
Blasphemy is never ok. Please rethink.
He should be wearing a face mask when striping bondo
Can’t stand this ex cop
Ant pays too much on every car. This one is not 7 k. It has an awfull Halfords sunroof and rust.
Mechanic? Never used copper grease? doesn't know the value of a Plus 2?
Not really in the same league as Mr Brewer is he???
Don’t forget to pay your taxes on profit to HM Treasury 😅
Only thing hes born to do is rip off his investers and buyers of a car no ones ever heard of funny havent heard anything from him or a certain jenson button despite all the claims from them that theyve done nothing wrong.......
Born bell end
Inclined to agree.
@@gordoncampbell100why do you watch? It’s entertainment!

@ErewhonGB he has kids all over the place
Mike Brewer bought the dolomite
