You should do another video about King of the Hill. There were so many other weird medical scenes on that show. I was hoping you'd talk about the episode where Hank finds out he has a genetic condition, I think called Gluteal Insufficiency. Basically, he doesn't have a butt and it was causing him to have chronic lower back pain. So he had to wear saline filled balloons, that were sort of similar to breast implants, in his underwear to provide padding to make his back feel better. That's not a real thing is it? There was also the episode where Bobby went to a sports medicine specialist because of toe pain and they found out he had gout from eating a bunch of disgusting cheapo deli food. And there's also another one where Bobbie suddenly got allergies from his dog even though he had her his whole life and he had to go live in the dog house that Hank just built, to get away from her. (Because the dog, ironically, wouldn't go in it.)
@@DoctorER Here's the scene about the diminished gluteal syndrome. It's not as complete as I'd like you to see, but it's most of it. They cut out the part where he accidentally bumped his butt on the exam table and it hurt like hell and part where the doctor prescribes the butt balloons. Here it is, though. ua-cam.com/video/v1DGmQUCTNA/v-deo.html
I have medical students sit in my appointments all the time. It was a tad weird at first but Im always happy to help people learn their job. Its usually only them asking the typical questions at the beginning and doing the easier stuff
I can't believe on that last part you left out his boss (Buck Strickland) loudly proclaiming at work how he got the insurance forms back from his "weenie doctor"! So much for doctor/patient confidentially!!
To add context, Dale was originally going to donate his kidney to drag racer John Force, when it turns out that he didn't need the kidney, Hank who was Dale's power of attorney while Dale was in recovery signed the form stating to give the kidney to the kid. Hank told Dale and that's how Dale knows who the recipient is.
You couldn't of picked a better adult animated sitcom then King Of The Hill,Hank rules and the rest of the family and friends go great. My favorite of all time and never get sick of it.👍
I freaking love King of the Hill lol. I remember when it was on TV as a kid. I watched it every day around 5 in the evening. Now I'm watching all the episodes again on Hulu. It's actually pretty good. Lol Dale is my favorite.
I was expecting to see something from Cotton Hill what with his feet being sewn to his knees. but in defense of that, several medical characters on the show said they are really surprised that worked. also i thought the thumbnail showed a scene from when Hank was diagnosed with 'Diminished Gluteal Syndrome' an episode which felt so authentic it took me ages to realize that's not a real condition. he gets saline-filled bags as orthotic padding and everything.
I have Crohn's disease. been hospitalized 4 times before surgery finally. One doctor came in with about 9 med students asking me about my bowels. I sais "I cant tell 10 people all the details about how I take a dump!" One giggled. I was drugged and cranky.
The umm sperm count episode was actually because they wanted another kid which actually they gave up on trying. Turned out hank had a very low count. They tried few different things to bring it up but failed. They simply decided to concentrate on bobby. You should react to hank's family history via his half brother (via Dad) as he has the narrow thing too. Hank also has no real gluteus as its pretty flat which he wears a slight medical device for. He is slightly overweight which is normal for 40, he also had no testosterone for a while which he was unknowingly was given synthetic testosterone which he OD on which turned him into acting like teenager for a bit. Bobby was a year from true puberty and he had nothing really wrong with him. Peggy suffered a fall from a skydive with no parachute which she survived and over a year recovered but was in a body cast for a while. Luanne got pregnant by the end of the series and gave birth to a little girl and got married to a guy. yeah the series got really weird but tried to stay in it's Texas roots
I would absolutely love to see you review Beavis and Butthead, there's several episodes where they do all kinds of crazy, stupid and painful stuff to themselves and need to go to the hospital for! (i.e. Wood Shop, where Beavis accidentally cuts his finger off with a band saw and bleeds profusely, Butt Flambe', where Beavis somehow gets his butt severely burned, Rabies Scare, where Beavis gets attacked and has his leg bitten by a rabid dog and needs to be treated for rabies, Trouble Urinating, where both Beavis and Butthead somehow managed to completely forget how to urinate, etc.)
I feel like I could never appreciate the humor in this show as a kid😁Now as an adult not only does Hanks reactions make me laugh. The dry humor gets me in the gut everytime😂😂
When he said he hadn't pooped for 5 days that is so relatable, I went through Air Force basic training and for the first 2 weeks I wasn't able to poop at all.
These are very entertaining! I hope you do more King of the Hill videos! I would have liked to see your reaction when the doctor told Bobby his dad’s colon could go all the way around the earth!
I remember the first time I had to talk with a urologist about sperm. My wife has pcos and she wanted to make sure that I didn't have any problems, so she pushed me to get a test. It was quite an uncomfortable situation, because I was so afraid that I would have a problem and if I did what would need to be done to solve that problem. I did have a little bit of a problem, so I did a urine test and found out that I had a urinary tract infection.
I couldn't believe you never watched KOTH. But then I realized that while you was in med school, I was busy watching every episode of KOTH. Best show ever. No competitor. You need to see more.
So great you're reacting to King of the Hill. There's so many medical scenes through out the series like Dale reacting to a bee sting, Peggy's skydiving accident, Cotton in the hospital, Hank using yoga to cure his back injury, Connie's menstruation while her parents are away, Bobby's gout, Hank's butt prosthetic and so much more.
One of my favourite KotH doctor moments is when Hank is talking to the doctor after Peggy fell out of a plane. "She would not have survived if she'd landed on concrete. ... Or a fence."
I can't stop laughing because I keep picturing myself...or anyone really...cutting their finger off and calmly saying to themselves "dang it! Okay...so where did I put the sandwich bags? I hope cubed ice is fine"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The thing that always annoyed me about the constipation episode is how they confused a sigmoidoscopy for a colonoscopy and how they made it seem like the procedure takes hours, but is somehow not painful without sedatives. And they wouldn't let your family stay in the room either. In reality, a colonoscopy doesn't take that long, but it's very painful if you're not sedated. I know there are a lot of people who would disagree with me, who prefer to do it without sedation, but I don't know how they do it. Trust me you'll want to be put out. What they give you is not full anesthesia, but it might as well be, because it puts you to sleep and makes you not remember the procedure. A sigmoidoscopy, on the other hand, could be done in a doctor's office on a moment's notice, without a sedative, though it does require a bit of prep. For that, you just need a small enema to clean out the lower colon. But you could easily do that in the office beforehand. But a sigmoidoscopy only takes between thirty seconds to one minute at the most because the doctor will just take a quick look and then take the scope out as quickly as possible because it hurts to leave it in to long. And that's not what they showed Hank having done.
How dare they do something so misleading in a CARTOON... 🙄 I highly doubt any medical students are going to be tested on this. Be like this awesome doctor, and enjoy it. Geezus.
I still remember my colonoscopy. I literally told the doctor that if he didn’t call an anesthesia specialist I’d see him in court. I’m honestly of the opinion that if a patient is willing and healthy after the procedure then selling organs should be a viable means of obtaining usable organs. I’m literally a donor because when I’m dead and gone my salvageable organs should immediately be removed and given to people who need them. However because donor bodies are a personal choice there will never be enough organs after death to meet demand. Selling organs would pick up this slack. I have a really good relationship with my doctor. I can comfortably open up to them about my health issues and he respects me as a patient and always goes outta his way to ensure that I understand my options in a given situation. However despite this existing beneficial relationship I will never open up about my options in “that” situation. Seriously I’d be so red in the face he’d probably worry about the lack of blood to other parts of my body.
I had my first colonoscopy on Friday, March 13, 2020, and my biggest complaint was that the prep was grape-flavored. Everyone within earshot heard of my distaste for grape-flavored prep. I was told that there are other flavors, I will try another one if I can. Otherwise, loved your reactions.
Your explanation was nice and quite appropriate. When discussing such things it's best to do so matter-of-factly, just as you seemed to have done here. Thanks for your review.
You're gonna need a part 2, you diddn't even react to the funnier situation where Hank is diagnosed with diminished glutes, or Cotton Hill's shot off shins. You have still earned another sub though, great video.
The one where Dale loses a finger reminds me of my dad... My dad lost part of his thumb to a tablesaw when he was 22, and allegedly, the surgeon said "I should bring you in next time I do surgery, I couldn't have cut it that clean!"
Was watching the bevis and butthead episode and the flat butt hank kept coming to mind 😅 hank and Peggy always reminded me of my parents lol. Thankfully I not a bobby... I think.. uh oh...
As someone who's worked in the medical field I love watching your series and understanding a lot of what your saying. When you were talking about the student I remember when I did it and seeing all those body parts was weird but literally after a day or 2 it becomes just body parts.
There was an episode when Hank was was talking to a gynaecologist. The doctor was talking about problems of other patients( the mayors wife was mentioned)and there were charts of female reproductive parts behind the doctor Hank was trying to avoid looking at.My favourite few minutes of King of the Hill EVER.I have not been able to locate it though for the life of me
It was the episode where the VFW got kicked out of their building and they have to try and get Vietnam veterans to join. Can't remember the title though
Doctor ER He’s an alien that was sent to Earth to destroy humanity, but his ship gets hit by lightning. He takes the form of a person he killed who was vacationing in the area. The town doctor is murdered, and the mayor requests that he take the doctor’s place until they find a replacement, as the man he killed is a relatively well known physician. Being a highly intelligent alien, he is able to semi pass for a doctor while he searches for the wreckage of his ship. Shenanigans ensue.
What's interesting when Dale makes demands is he kinda looks like D.B. Cooper. I think he was even modelled after him. Anyway, those are the kind of demands that D.B. Cooper made, so it comes full circle.

8:30 my mom did that when my older brother when lost his Big toe when he was a kid playing a bicycle, but the doctor that can do the operation that can attach them is outside of the city so he doesn't have one big toe now
There is yet more King of the Hill to cover, they were at the Doctor a lot during the series actually. The testosterone fueld hank episode, and the episode where Hank is told he doesn't have a butt are good ones. There is also one with Bobby having an allergic reaction to the family dog.
I know that it probably gets requested a lot but maybe you could react to either Star Wars or Star Trek or different Sci-Fi movies with Advanced Medical Technology and maybe some Sci-Fi TV shows
@@DoctorER like the doctor Crusher doctor McCoy when they do their examinations and they do the medical scanners and and the technology that would be used to treat fractures injuries whether minor or major and maybe you could do a video on the Predator liking all the healing technology of the predator like you know like looking at the the wounds that the Predators Weaponry could cause in Predator 2 predators Predator 2018 Alien versus Predator bring up the medical aspects of the injuries experience it all just something in general and for Star Trek and Star Wars like just a different medical things that you see like they technology and see how these Technologies would work today also Starship Troopers would be a good series of movies to review the ones that are directed by Paul verhoeven and Irvin Kershner is two guys both directed The RoboCop movie you know how to make a good violent movie and the end reason there would be significant to study the technology and the treatment process
You'd think that the King of the Hill was just the writers getting things wrong; but, sadly - that's not the case. Some doctors are actually like this back in the day (at least they were in the town I was growing up in. In this case, not offering meds to calm the patient/make them forget the procedure). When I was 14, I was diagnosed with crohns disease. They ran some colonoscopies on me; however, though I was given the pre-exam meds to void my bowels (nasty stuff!), the exam itself was done with me being fully awake, with a nurse pinning my legs down and trying to comfort me so I didn't squirm. It took a pediatrician from a children's hospital in another town to come and overlook one of these exams before that nonsense was stopped. (I literally cried with joy as this doctor lost her shit on the town's doctors for putting me through all that fully conscious). The rest of my treatment was done at the children's hospital out of town - where they knew how the treat their patients right. I'll never forgot that doctor - she was a Godsend.
You should react to Married with children medical scenes, like that moment where Al went to the dentist, or where Peg had a hurting tooth, and she was nagging Al. This vid was pretty good tho!
Okay, so there's actually some context missing with that kidney episode. One that raises so many questions. Dale was told that some famous guy needed a kidney, which Dale was a perfect match for. Turn out that it was a lie so that they could get that kid without Dale knowing.
1:18 Consumption is tuberculosis... and you're also the first person that I've ever heard say, with conviction, that your food should be in and out within 24hrs. Most doctors say 24-72hrs can still be considered normal. 🤔

also i thought the thumbnail showed a scene from when Hank was diagnosed with 'Diminished Gluteal Syndrome' an episode which felt so authentic it took me ages to realize that's not a real condition. he gets saline-filled bags as orthotic padding and everything.
Luanne got pregnant by the end of the series and gave birth to a little girl and got married to a guy. yeah the series got really weird but tried to stay in it's Texas roots
i was so sad that he didn't cover hanks noassatall
Don’t forget the narrow urethra lol
People should wait until marage
I want to see a video where he talks about the episode where Bill works out to much and injures himself.
10:20 Perhaps you’d be more comfortable trying this at home?
Hank: No!
Would you like a Magazine?
Hank: Ok!
😂😂😂
"Mrs Hill, what did you tell him exactly?"...🤣
I just found this channel, and I'm so glad I did. 😁
YES! Welcome! Let me know if there's any TV show in particular you'd like for me to review.
Really enjoy your videos. Your laughter is so contagious.
Glad you like them! What would you like to see me react to next?
Beavis and Butt-Head might be coming very soon...
I feel like I could never appreciate the humor in this show as a kid😁Now as an adult not only does Hanks reactions make me laugh. The dry humor gets me in the gut everytime😂😂
I love doctors that can see that I have a good sense of humor. You are right Doctor. Humor certainly helps me relax and have fun.
'Consumption' was an old fashioned term for TB and in some places, like here in Ireland, it was still used until quite recently.
When he said he hadn't pooped for 5 days that is so relatable, I went through Air Force basic training and for the first 2 weeks I wasn't able to poop at all.
8:07 the way you gasp is so unexpected XD
These are very entertaining! I hope you do more King of the Hill videos! I would have liked to see your reaction when the doctor told Bobby his dad’s colon could go all the way around the earth!
Thank so much! More to come!
I’m so glad you did King of the Hill ♥️
So great you're reacting to King of the Hill. There's so many medical scenes through out the series like Dale reacting to a bee sting, Peggy's skydiving accident, Cotton in the hospital, Hank using yoga to cure his back injury, Connie's menstruation while her parents are away, Bobby's gout, Hank's butt prosthetic and so much more.
I'm shocked you haven't seen King of the Hill. Such a classic and wholesome cartoon.
First aid courses help, but there is no substitute for doing it live
8:45
“ARE THEY DRINKING?!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I thought they were too
It's awesome you are covering one of the greatest anime in history
It's not an anime.
This is awesome, thank you for being candid
Glad you like it! What was your favorite King of the Hill medical scene?
Geezus.
I had sedation for that but for some reason it didn't work well on me so I still remember it and the pain.
I’m eating Nutella and I hear “when was your last bowel movement?”... I’m done lol
When you have a hose up your behind, there is no comfortable situation
More to come. Lots
King of the Hill is one of my favorite shows of all time! I loved your reaction to hank asking for the “popular mechanics” magazine hilarious!!!
I really do love seeing these sorts of reactions. You certainly know your stuff and it looks like you're enjoying KotH, it's one of my favorite shows.
The one where Dale loses a finger reminds me of my dad... My dad lost part of his thumb to a tablesaw when he was 22, and allegedly, the surgeon said "I should bring you in next time I do surgery, I couldn't have cut it that clean!"
I love your reaction vids!
Thank you I appreciate it! What was your favorite scene from King of the Hill?
King of the Hill is one of my favorite shows
Was watching the bevis and butthead episode and the flat butt hank kept coming to mind 😅 hank and Peggy always reminded me of my parents lol. Thankfully I not a bobby... I think.. uh oh...
7:39 I actually knew a guy who had 4 kidneys, the two extra were smaller but they all worked normally, apparently.
This series is awesome. I look forward to new vids!
Thanks Eddy.
Nice video hope u reach 1 million brother
Appreciate that. Thank you
I remember once when having my smear test the bin men showed up. That was fun. Lol
As someone who's worked in the medical field I love watching your series and understanding a lot of what your saying. When you were talking about the student I remember when I did it and seeing all those body parts was weird but literally after a day or 2 it becomes just body parts.
Its time to cover Jackass with Johnny Knoxville and all of the real life injuries they suffer on the show
There was an episode when Hank was was talking to a gynaecologist.
You should watch Resident Alien. It’s hilarious and the alien is a doctor 🤣Well. He pretends to be
Sounds fascinating! What's it about?
"you should be able to see what you ate the night before"
Me the night after Chinese Ribs: OH GOD I'M BLEEDING INTERNALLY!!!!!
Since Covid I made ribs at home, Sans food coloring... they look so sad and brown if you don't use the coloring, but I don't keep a gallon of red food coloring at home so I added Paprika :D
edit: I mean the babyback ribs look sad and brown, not the turds afterwards.
I had this same terror two weeks ago, drank strawberry soda and ate red dyed food, genuine terror.
I like your edit 😆
8:30 my mom did that when my older brother when lost his Big toe when he was a kid playing a bicycle, but the doctor that can do the operation that can attach them is outside of the city so he doesn't have one big toe now
There is yet more King of the Hill to cover, they were at the Doctor a lot during the series actually. The testosterone fueld hank episode, and the episode where Hank is told he doesn't have a butt are good ones. There is also one with Bobby having an allergic reaction to the family dog.
Yes! Couldn't fit them all into one video. Part 2 will be coming shortly don't worry!
This show will always be on my Favorite List. It can be background noise, all day.
The coolest doctor ever💯👌
The most Doctor looking Doctor I have ever seen.
I know that it probably gets requested a lot but maybe you could react to either Star Wars or Star Trek or different Sci-Fi movies with Advanced Medical Technology and maybe some Sci-Fi TV shows
Totally could do Star Wars or Star Trek! Do you have any favorite scenes that I should check out?
@@DoctorER Anakin's suit- transformation into Darth Vader.
I love how he sounds like Adult Boo Boo bear
That’s one of the best backdrops I’ve seen on UA-cam.
Thanks!
.....i thought his eyebrows were going to raise up to Heaven!
😂😂😂
@@DoctorER you have a very expressive face, Dr. This was a good episode!
I always love these kinds of videos lol. I appreciate you taking the time to entertain us 😂🙏🏽
King of the Hill is one of the greatest shows ever! There's talk of a revival now too, let's hope!
Hey doctor, I would love it if you reacted to the medical show The Good Doctor. Great Video by the way!!
1:19 history nerd moment, consumption was also an old word for Tuberculosis.
I have roughly three bowel movements a day depending on how much I had the day before
1:18 Consumption is tuberculosis... and you're also the first person that I've ever heard say, with conviction, that your food should be in and out within 24hrs. Most doctors say 24-72hrs can still be considered normal. 🤔
