Archer is an American adult animated sitcom created by Adam Reed for FX. The show follows the exploits of a dysfunctional intelligence agency, led by Sterling Archer and seven of his colleagues. Archer's history is distinguished by continual reinvention, evolving from the standard setup of a workplace sitcom mocking spy film to an anthology with self-contained mythologies. Today Doctor Wagner, a real life emergency physician from Experts React on Gamology is back to react to the best Archer clips and funny Archer clips. In the past years, Archer's breast cancer diagnosis and treatment has brought attention to its audiences. With Archer tv series characters Dr. Algernop Krieger and Dr. Speltz there is no shortage of funny medical memes and medical satire. Do you watch Archer full episodes? If you want Dr. Jordan Wagner to continue making this doctor reaction series please give this video a like and leave a comment on which TV show or medical memes you'd like for him to review next.
FXX's Archer is an original animated, half-hour comedy that, in its 11th season, follows Sterling Archer and his return to the spy world after a three-year coma. While many things changed during his absence, Archer is confident it will take just a little time for him to reset things back to the old ways. The problem: does the rest of the team want that? Everyone else has been doing pretty well and may not be ready for his return to throw a wrench in their well-oiled machine.
The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as the newly awakened secret agent, "Sterling Archer;" Aisha Tyler as super spy, "Lana Kane;" Jessica Walter as Archer's mother and spymaster, "Malory Archer;" Judy Greer as the surprisingly well-adjusted assistant, "Cheryl/Carol Tunt;" Chris Parnell as the newly-minted alpha male, "Cyril Figgis;" Amber Nash as the lovable comrade in arms, "Pam Poovey;" Adam Reed as the consummate professional, "Ray Gillette;" and Lucky Yates as the unscrupulous scientist, "Algernop Krieger."

you should do a part 2 of archer
you should add a PSA about handling a snakebite, there is still way to many ppl thinking sucking out the venom is an option.
Can you please do a video on Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome and POTS.
Do archer part 2 please 😂
Can you do a review on the anime show called monster its centered around a doctor
He's being incredibly generous thinking ANY of these people have a medical license. They barely have a driver's license. 😂 Thanks for this. It's been a while since I've seen Archer and you reminded me how funny it was.
😂😂🤣
The doctor who checks Archer for breast cancer is a real doctor (on the show). Did you see the scene where he called Archer to tell him the biopsy was successful, then called him back to say he made a mistake and he still had cancer, then called him back to say he was wrong and the biopsy was successful, then called him back AGAIN to tell him he read the wrong chart and the cancer was still there??
@@DoctorER i think the only person in isis who is even close to having a doctors licence is kreiger but even if he had one he does tons of expiriments like cloning and creating cyborgs and building robots like fister roboto so he would lose it pretty much immediately
@@michaelpope2886 Well, obviously. I'm talking about the 99% other part of the video. Omg, such a nitpicker... People like you is why I hate the internet so much. I thought "Wow, a doctor react video. That should attract smart people." Then you just come to prove me wrong. Thank you.
And why ask such an obvious question? No, I watched all of Archer and left out that particular 2-minutes of dialogue. (This is sarcasm, btw.) The doctor isn't interested in that. He would, however, be interested in Archer's cancer treatment following, where he's literally dying while trying to make that revenge movie. There is hope for a Part 2, since there is an entire season taking place in Archer's coma. Three, actually. (Loved Dreamland, RIP George Coe)
@@chatboulon743 This series is FILLED with tons of medical context. I would never be able to fit it all into one video. There's a reason why I chose to leave out Archer's cancer treatment and comma...Have to at least try to do things in chronological order here. 😉
Love it! A part 2 would be excellent!
Some scenes that come to mind are:
-Archer's multiple phone calls from the doctor switching between saying the test was positive then negative then positive again.
-Lana getting a concussion after a long sleepless night during a mission with Archer in the middle east
-Ray Gillet fighting a giant carnivorous plant with a spade and loosing a hand
and Kreiger giving him a new hand
- Cheryl and Pam illegaly changing the company health plan while Mallory recovers from a zucchini allergic reaction
- Cyril, Kreiger, Pam and Cheryl/Carol
checking Mallory's apartment that is being pest treated rats
- Archer getting amnesia and is convinced he is Bob from Bob's Burgers
-The running gag with someone's ears ringing after a loud gunshot
-Brett constantly getting shot in the stomach throughout the series
-Archer punching Ray in the face
before parachuting over Russia
- When they had to be miniaturized and be injected in a patient to get rid of a blood clot in the brain
-Archer's odd punishments for his butler
-Lana's baby delivery in the middle of chaos
-Pam's moonlighting gigs like fighting in fight clubs and drift racing with the yakuza
- Pam developing a cocaine addiction
- Lana burning her hands because archer filled the cooler with dry ice
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the recommendations!
Part 2 please
Also archer taking chemo mid rampage.
Good list!
punishments!! lol, get sand I don't know if they grade it but... coarse!!
There are just SO many medical scenes in Archer haha From the 100 year old heroin addict to Archer willingly drowning in freezing water to be revived minutes later when they're short a scuba suit.
One of the coolest parts of the show is that the big medical things, like Archer's breast cancer, have consequences. He actually spends months in chemo and his entire outlook on life permanently changes after surviving. The episodes even deal with serious topics like survivor guilt and unethical pharmaceutical practices.
He goes on a rampage after finding out the meds are being switched out.
Terms of enrampagement.
@@sirg-had8821 It's a Working Title!
He even made a real friend. And actually mourned her after.

How long did it take you to figure that Krieger's doctorate (assuming he has a legal one) ain't necessarily of medical field?
Krieger isn't a doctor. His first name is literally Doctor
@@joechilds3256 I looked it up ( because I found it funny) , but according to the archer wiki his first name is Algernop. (Although he is no doctor of any kind.) Which was a little surprising, due to the fact that this is clearly no german name. I looked it up and according to a side name nameberry it is old and rare french and means "moustached man". ... well yes that name seems to fit very well.
Pls don't my comment, I just think the archer team deserve some credit for this surprising detail
@@joechilds3256 His first name is NOT Doctor... Might want to actually watch the show, Joe.
I'm DEFINITELY down for a Part 2 of Archer videos. Man I love this show
As a former ER Nurse (RN), (i am now an NP who works in psychology) my favorite interactions with patients will always be 'have you taken any drugs?' "no." "Have you smoked any meth, crack, pot, or used anything you need to inject?" 'Well i had some heroin a little while ago.' "so you have used drugs recently?" "no, just a little meth."
Taken from an actual intake process i did in 2013...Patient turned out to have...several other drugs beside the heroin and meth, in his system.
I really love his laugh!
Regarding the blood clot... That (2 part) episode was a parody of Isaac Asimov's _Fantastic Voyage_ which was written in the 60s. Apparently, he considered the idea of miniaturization to be more feasible and within reach, at least for the sake of the story, than were medical instruments which would be small enough to do the job without cracking open someone's skull and digging around in it.
It was made into a movie during the 70s; An ambitious effort, even if incredibly dated by today's standards. Done at about the same production level as _Westworld/Futureworld, Brave New World_ and _Andromeda Strain_ .
Need more Archer! It's such an underrated show.
Archer is the best show ever.
Archer was really funny! What was your favorite Archer medical scene?
@@DoctorER in this video, the actual surgery turning ray into a bionic man. Over all through the series when they do the whole magic school bus thing and travel inside a man's body to fight a clot. And TVs Michael Gray is in it. I don't know how accurate it is as medicine isn't my field, but it is absolutely hysterical. And nearly the entire episode is medically relevant.
Yes doctor, that is ALL we're worried about.
Archer is a national treasure
Um…I think he means venom when he said don’t suck the poison out when referring to when archer was bitten by a cobra
Yes
Welcome to the world of Archer doc. Be sure to buckle up for the rest if you haven't already.
Me having an intense hatred of doctors: let's watch doctor reaction videos.
I am seriously disappointed that there wasnt the car lifting scene :[
Doctor Krieger is not actually a doctor, nor is Pam a nurse. Pam is just there to help, I guess. As for Krieger, when the show starts we are lead to believe that he is in fact a doctor, but we later find out that he isn't. However, even from the get go we know he isn't a medical doctor, but a scientist with a doctorate.
People think Krieger is a doctor?
When it’s just his first name
Nope, it’s Algernop.
@@firstmkb you missed the newer seasons.
Doctor is his first name.
My partner had a client give them an energy drink as urine for a drug test once
He's actually drinking absinthe in his flasks
I'm pretty sure that isn't Absinthe because didn't they said in another episode it makes them blackout?
@@derekihrke5798 no that's their absinthe cocktail green russians.
Kreiger isn't a doctor. More like a mad scientist. Meanwhile, Pam is the HR specialist (not a nurse).
10:24 It’s venom, not poison.
Hey dr er I been having diarea after I eat every more lately today 1 am 2 am 3 am 4 am 5 am 6 am should I be worried
You should do the show invincible
lmao he referring to Krieger as a "doctor" and Pam as "nurse"
Well Pam was raised on a dairy, so she probably has more medical experience than Krieger who believes in phrenology.
I want to say that at some point someone says he isn't a medical doctor and he interjects that technically he isn't the other kind either.
Krieger is a doctor just not the medical kind, or the other kind.
@@MiaMooreA So Krieger is like the one time Daffy changed his name to Professor lol
Isn’t doctor part of his name? Not as a doctorate he definitely doesn’t have
"Kind of off and wrong." Yeah, that pretty much explains "Archer". It's an ensemble of completely amoral spies who are hilarious.
Uh...so, what are you trying to say? Pam is the amoral one.
@@randyranderson690 pam. Like pam the hr lady. Like pam the sex offender hr lady .....
We need a part 2 especially with all scenes where Brett gets shot.
GOD DAMMIT ARCHER!
Whoops. I shot Brett again.

I wish he was still here, he probably would've soaked up a few of these bullets.
he isn't even on this floor and idiot brett somehow managed to get shot again
Damn it, Brett.
Wow, I am honestly shocked that there is an Archer medicine compilation that does not prominently feature tinnitus. That's like, their number one pet cause. You should definitely look more into the series. There is a lot of medical material.
Kato: what are you eating?
Archer: pain killers and candy ...... I call them vic n ikes.... Want some? Damn I'm really feeling these vic n ikes
Cheryl: "So? Krieger's a doctor!"
Cyril: "Not the medical kind!"
Krieger: "Not even the other kind... technically."

FYI the "doctor" is Krieger and he's more of the Q gadget inventor and he's not a medical doctor, possibly not a doctor of anything
The "nurse" is Pam the HR director,
They were in Kriegers lab not a medical facility.

Sad the actor who played Archer's mother died.
And her husband that played her Ron Cadillac shortly before she passed.
Wow! I didn't know that!
Damn, so (I forgot the VA's name so only naming the character) wood house, Ron Cadillac, and Mallory are dead... I wonder how season 12 is gonna be then

@@Milnoc Of all ISIS crews, Ray is probably the least bad choice.
Loved the very teacher/parent/babysitter explanation: “people are not for hitting.”
Could have fooled me.
That's not a nurse, that's Pam, admin/HR turned agent(ish). Krieger's lucky she didn't hit back, there's not many who can beat her in a first fight.
Also, Archer's mom, is not just a bad example with the drink as a parent, she's the boss of the organisation. Well inferring they're organised might be pushing it a little.
"Potato Clock" is reference of using a potato as a battery to power a clock.
I love your laugh. I wish more people would just laugh out loud like you do.
“Legs” is one of the funniest episodes ever for Archer. When you watch the entire episode, you’ll quickly realize there are no actual medical people involved.
I love the misunderstanding of the actual rolls that different characters are playing.
Sorry! Just goes to show you how I’ve never seen Archer before.
@@DoctorER it really is an amazing show. I suggest watching some.
My kitty is always checking me for breast cancer. Himbs take my health very seriously. Very grateful to such a caring kitty.
What about when rival agency ODIN collected "about 8 gills" of Archer's blood for a paternity test?
Yeah pretty ducked up when you think about it. You ever donate that shit? They take like 1 gill for that, (plus or minus a bit for the tests they have to run on it before it’s put in cold storage) and even that can leave you feeling pretty woozy after a bit of just walking around.
Those weren't doctors or associates of doctors... Those were the spy agency staff lol.
Edit: did you say poisonous snakes? Venomous. C'mon doc lol.
Maybe english is not his first language. In my language venomous and poisonous are the same thing
It's a very common mistake in English speakers. Call it a colloquialism.
7:49 I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding. Kreiger isn't a Doctor... he's a "Doctor" (Mad Scientist). Slipping roofies is totally within his purview. 😆
Love Archer! Definitely hope you do a second one. And in case you didn't know the actor who does Archer also does Bob from Bob's Burgers. They even did a crossover where they got the look of Bob's Burger into Archer, Season 4 Episode 1 opening scene, quite a bit of trauma went down in that scene maybe you can react to that. (Good high def clip on UA-cam, Archer - Bob's Burgers).
There's no telling how REAL ER Doctors will react to the medical accuracy of Archer, but they're ALWAYS guaranteed to laugh, the show is that good
Since you really like watching medical situations from cartoons, I think it's time for you to watch some "Regular Show", which is everything but a regular show. It tells a story of racoon Rigby and jay Mordecai being workers in a park owned by lollipop Pops. Their manager is gumball machine Benson, who yells at these two for being slackers and threatens to fire them, but Pops usually calms Benson down. The other workers are: immortal yeti Skips, green humanoid Muscle Man and his friend Hi Five Ghost.
What episodes I find particularly interesting (for now just seasons 1 and 2:
"Meat your maker"
"Rigby's body"
"Ello Gov'nor"
"Peeps"
"Rage Against the TV"
"See you there"
"Grave Sights"
"Really Real Wrestling"
"Over the Top"
This guy makes everything that doesn’t make sense make sense he makes things so understandable that I wish he was my health teacher
Thanks Liam.
Any arrested development medical scene is an excellent study of how not to interact with a patients family
And legal advice from Bob Loblah lol.
Quick thing about substance use: if you have to go to the hospital and you've been doing drugs, TELL YOUR DOCTOR. You're not going to get busted. That information is confidential, between you and your doctor, and without a court order they couldn't tell the cops if they wanted to.
More importantly, your doctor NEEDS TO KNOW what is in your system. Medicines can react in all kinds of ways when mixed with other chemicals and if they don't know what else is in you then their treatment could just make things worse.
The doctor cannot tell anyone else what you've told them unless there's a court order or they believe you to be a clear and immediate danger to yourself or others. Be honest with your doctors.
5:55 It's an alarm clock, but made from a potato, Doc Wagner. I've seen pictures and they're pretty interesting. Sort of like a potato battery
Thanks for the ❤️, doc.
"It wouldn't be just the two of them."
I'm pretty sure that any doctor asked to perform an obiviously illegal operation involving replacing the lower half of someones body with robotics would not say no, but also call the police

Honestly Archer feels like the perfect example of "what not to do" and "why not to do it" in a lot of contexts.
Archer will forever be one of my favorite shows. I cannot believe I didn't think to ask for this show...it's medical scenes are wild
Archer is hilarious though! Glad you enjoyed it.
Ah, I missed this show. And yes, we need a part 2 reaction, please!
Totally! Any Archer scenes that come to mind that I should include in a part 2?
Oh wow, I wasn’t actually expecting a response to this comment….this is a new feeling.
Anyway…it’s been a while since I’ve seen the show, and it’s kind of lazy of me to suggest this, but there is another episode that follows up on the breast cancer one. Archer starts taking chemo only to find out that the drugs he’s taking are fake and he goes on a rampage (he’s very particular about that word) against the sellers. I think there’s interesting stuff to talk about drugs used in chemotherapy in that one (the episode is called “Placebo Effect,” which is a good title by the way).
Season five also has Pam develop a cocaine addiction (which makes pretty unlikable, btw) that I think starts in the second episode. It’s a ongoing thing, but I wonder if there’s some stuff about cocaine addiction you could bring up.
Finally, and someone has already mentioned this, but the last two episode of season six focus on the team being injected into someone’s brain to take care of a blood clot…only instead be injected into his foot. Because that is TOTALLY possible according to medical science.
Anyway, just my suggestions. Thanks for asking, and looking forward to the next video!
He's obviously very intelligent because he's a doctor but I'm most impressed with the genuine caring attitude for his audience. Listen to this man kids he's the most wholesome doctor I've ever heard.
Actually Kreiger is a mad scientist he doesn't have a doctorate his first name is doctor
I mean, I knew that describing Krieger as any sort of medical authority was laughable, but I'm genuinely surprised at Cyril's knowledge of poisons.
Archer is my favorite show. It's really cool to see someone actually break down the scenes. Have a good one, Doc!
Watching someone who's not familiar with Archer react to a bunch of scenes is really funny.
Well at least the snakebite was realistic, this man knew what he was talking about, spitting straight facts ^^

A potato clock is a simple science project that would go in the same category as a volcano. You would probably see it in an elementary school or maybe a middle school. It involves powering a digital clock with a zinc copper battery made of potatoes, nails, wire, and a penny.

a potato clock is a clock powered by a potato. like the plant. the actual plant. i dont remember why it worked, but i think it was something about acid interacting with the metal put in the potato making a teeny tiny bit of electric current.

Krieger isn't technically even a doctor. He's a Hitler clone mad scientist that experiments with genetics and robotics in his lab in the spy HQ.
