the problem with the dragon ball franchise is, that it does not mather if anyone dies. they all will be revived over and over again. there are absoloutley NO consequneces, NEVER. It makes all characters so trivial, and there are also too many different forma and constantly changing power lvls that make no sense. when I was a kid I really loved dbz, but know it is hilirious to me. Besides that, DB and DBGT are fine until now.

They had so much emotional momentum at the end of DBZ with Gohan tapping into a primal aggression based on fear and desperation. They made it look like Gohan could have an endless amount of story arcs based on his attempts to subdue his aggression while simultaneously unleashing it on his foes. Instead toriyama chose to have gohan turn into a fun loving super hero pedophile, who seems to have forgotten about all the horror he has seen in his life. Gohan went from emotionally aware to a retarded ear of corn at the flick of a switch. Perhaps they made a point for stupidity and naivety to be genetic on gokus side.
And the characters acts like it always was like that. it's exactly why I have a theory that this is an alt universe of dbz. Even if it never will be confirmed it's Way too many changes in the series that supposed to take place before the end of dbz but It's definitely not the dbz world we once knew

Vegeta may have known this all along, but it seems it "dawned" on him anew, only once seeing Beerus again, possibly shoving it into the back of his head, or believing it to be a kids nightmare. We do see Beerus making him faint when running up to him, and he could have been gone, by the time that "kid Vegeta" came to, making it seem like a bad dream. Also, his father would not openly admit to have been stepped on, furthering that train of thought. The Surpreme Kai had no reason to talk about Beerus before, since Beerus would not help against Buu, being either asleep, or not interested in preventing destruction. The Kais on the other hand, are meant to create, and protect creation, so they would interact with Buu. King Kai, when Beerus finally shows up, is shown to try and still lie about his identity, when talking to Goku. So King Kai may very well have known about Beerus all along, but after seeing what happened when he told Goku about Friezza, and realizing Goku would want to fight this strong being, decided to keep the topic under wraps, since Beerus usually would not interact with Mortals too much anyways, and the fight being very well capable of making Beerus destroy something on a whim.

DBZ is full of musuclar characters that pack massive weight to their punches. DB Super is a bunch of lanky dudes that somehow are millions of times more powerful than anybody from DBZ and have no weight in their attacks.
Don’t even start about the whole makes no sense how they are so strong. Goku, as a tiny kid, tapped someone 10x bigger than him, and that dude fell over from the tap. Straight from the beginning, it was shown that the muscles don’t really matter. In fact, when trunks fought cell, cell said that the increase in muscle mass slowed him down a lot.
Dragonball is different than any other anime in that the english version is its own thing and should always be its own thing. The Japanese version is almost an entirely different show. FUNimation effed up when they made DBZ so epic and powerful, and then tried to normalize the show in Kai and Super trying to fit it with the Japanese version more. This effectively destroyed what DBZ grew up to be -- it's own thing for the West.
DBZ is better than Super for a many reasons: 1.) Brutalities, blood spills, and limbs chopping off 2.) Gohan’s changing development to a strong and reliable character. 3.) Intense battles and rivalries 4.) Frieza Saga 5.) Z Fighters are more relevant than being side characters 6.) Goku’s role in the English Dub is more noble and heroic 7.) Piccolo’s growing power when merging with Nail and Kami 8.) Videl Satan as a tomboy girlfriend of Gohan’s. 9.) Future Trunks’ purple hairstyle and muscular body. 10.) Pikkon and other contenders from the Otherworld Tournament 11.) Gohan’s healthy relationship with his father. 12.) A few appearances of Tien’s girlfriend Launch 13.) Tv specials (“Bardock: The Father Of Goku” and “The History Of Trunks”) that are truly tied to the main series. 14.) Z-Fighters vs the Ginyu Force on King Kai’s Planet 15.) Gohan’s Great Ape transformation 16.) Krillin’s useful acts in every Saga, except the Majin Buu Saga. 17.) Tien holds Cell off with his Neo Tri-Beam while Android 18 escape 18.) Bruce Faulconer’s kickass and romanticize scores 19.) Vegeta being the merciless Anti-Hero
Trunks' hair is purely personal preferences. Using it as a reason that Dbz is better than Dbs is plain stupid imo. Not hating on Dbz or anything even though i would much prefer Dbs more.

in the movie Bardock Father Of Goku, the alien race he was suppose to kill showed him his son ( Goku) will become great etc Goku was sent to earth by King Vegeta in the hopes that he'll destroy it , Bardock saw the end of his people in the vision, normally i'll keep quite as the changes made DBZ great again but you pointed things out and this information was wrong, always happy to help

Bulma's hair in DB and DBZ never looked blue to me... at least for as far as I can remember, through Frieza, it always looked green. Dragon Ball Super changed it to blue. Similarly, SSJ Blue hair looks more teal or cyan than actual blue (most of the time)... in fact, I've asked people IRL what color they thought it was. Half of them said green! it makes me wonder if there's any amount of colorblindness going around here. Is Beerus supposed to be blue, or purple? The kais are mostly light cyan/blue and green, right? Goku's Gi is orange... although in some scenes it looks more red, and in others more yellow. So, which of the above is it? (orange)
For Goku to become dumb it's upsetting, people should grow with intelligence, at the same time I guess it is understandable in a brutally honest way when it comes to the Great Filter, I mean if he started conquering Worlds it would've been heart breaking if there was a Black Hole and he is too awesome to think Genocide situations are fine. the first one i'm gonna need to go against it... they didnt forget his admiration for goku since the end of buu saga. i'm going to write here 2 facts 1 coming after another.. 1. ROF SAGA: vegeta was saying to frieza that he cant let him kill goku from the reason that he is the reason for his power lvl. he keeps pushing his limits because of being a rivel with goku. next one its the TOP SAGA: after vegeta's knockdown he didnt went nuts by looking at goku and going like "argh why is he stronger i am the elite of the {bla bla bla pride, bla bla super saiyan, bla bla bla :) -TFS-} he was beliving in goku just like he did against buu.
Oddly enough I never knew about Bulma's hair being purple originally, resulting in Trunks' purple hair. I always thought that the reason Trunks' hair was purple was due to the hair colors of his parents. In the early episodes of the Saiyan Saga, Vegeta was depicted as having red hair, and even in the Namek/Frieza saga, you would sometimes see glimpses of red associated with Vegeta. Combine red and blue and what do you get? Purple. Although my main question is why Future Trunks' hair is blue when kid Trunks' hair is purple.
Vegeta from DBZ and George from Seinfeld are characters that are so interesting that they could easily spin off into their own shows. Can you do a whole video on Vegeta's pride from beginning to now or Vegeta's training methods from beginning to now, or Vegeta's understanding and desire to be the strongest and/or the best from beginning to now, or anything related.
Honestly Goku's origins were never properly mentioned apart from his relationship to Grandpa Gohan. Vegeta and Raditz told him he was a low-class saiyan warrior sent to earth to take over, no evidence that was the case. Plus with them being away from Planet Vegeta during the destruction/Goku's going to Earth they were probably lied to about the reason he was sent there (I mean, they believed Frieza saying a meteor destroyed Planet Vegeta)

It’s cool but it really sucks to me like it’s entertaining to watch but it’s just the most obvious storyline ever .. new villain , higher power level , win repeat like it’s so stupid . Entertaining but naruto and MHA really did this type of anime way better. (Ofc css as use it came AFTER but stil). It took Vegeta a while to remember Beerus. He doesn't realize who Beerus is until the same thing that happened to him as a kid happens to him again sending him into the flashback remembering finally. He pushed it away to the far corners of his mind, I think. It was a childhood trauma which typically get glazed over until a specific trigger brings the memory back to the front of the mind. This case being when Beerus knocks him away with ease and he's face first on the ground, kicking in the flashback.
IKR I also had been wondering what had happened to the last two Saiyan troops behind kid Vegeta and Raditz? Have they departed from the Frieza Force.. Or has either Vegeta or Frieza kill em off? Too many unanswered questions.
My major counterpoint comes up about Vegeta's motivations and him and the Kai's never talking about Beerus. 1. Best way to not destroy the universe via god of destruction? Don't tell the one person who'd seek him out actively... aka Goku, hence why it wasn't mentioned to him specifically until it became relevant. 2. Vegeta probably didn't expect Beerus to wake up again in his lifetime, for all we know he just chalked him up to a force of nature and not an actual person capable of being fought... thus until Beerus showed up again, well... he would at the very least pretend to be the strongest and discount Beerus because he was too strong to be considered fair. 3. Vegeta in DBS is fighting for his family and not to surpass Goku to just be stronger. He knows Goku is stronger, but he wants to catch up, presumably to protect his own family and be able to stop any threat that Goku can't stop.... presumably.

They need to make him relevant*** No need to make him replace Goku. He rose from scared kid to seasoned warrior with no aftermath payoff. There needs to be a new powerhouse character (besides Broly). I was excited when Gohan said he'd get stronger in his own way, but I know that my idea of a new transformation tangent is not founded. Anyway, people grow and they chose to make him "normal." Maybe this is the "what if Goku was normal" exploration. Gohan is torn between the two worlds.
The Pilaf Gang change to kids was a Nod (and slight punishment) to the beginning of GT, where it was the Gang who wished Goku into a Kid. So, this instance, GT can never be canon.
I think the biggest ret con that confuses the heck out of me is the fact that there’s not just one supreme Kai and how that ties into the life of the god of destruction. We find out in super that if a supreme Kai dies, then the corresponding god of destruction dies as well. But in dragon ball z during the Buu saga, we learn that there’s not one supreme Kai, but 4 of them. We only deal with one supreme Kai in dragon ball super because during the initial rampage of Buu while he was under control of Bibidi (not to be confused with babidi), Buu either killed or absorbed the other supreme Kais. So how does it work knowing that there’s multiple supreme Kai’s, but a god of destruction is tied to the life of the supreme Kai of their universe? Does the god of destruction die if all of the supreme Kai’s die? Or does one supreme Kai get designated as the one that the god of destruction’s life is tied to? And why do the other universes only ever show one supreme Kai when again, we know each one has 4?
Does no one remember when Goku and Frieza were fighting so fast that not only did everything around slow down and change color but King Kai lost track of them?
it makes sense in vegeta’s case because before super sayian 3 was the peak and he couldn’t imagine a level higher than that, but with the new anime there are possibilities to get a lot stronger and the chance to finally surpass goku

Don’t even start about the whole makes no sense how they are so strong. Goku, as a tiny kid, tapped someone 10x bigger than him, and that dude fell over from the tap. Straight from the beginning, it was shown that the muscles don’t really matter. In fact, when trunks fought cell, cell said that the increase in muscle mass slowed him down a lot.

Dragonball is different than any other anime in that the english version is its own thing and should always be its own thing. The Japanese version is almost an entirely different show. FUNimation effed up when they made DBZ so epic and powerful, and then tried to normalize the show in Kai and Super trying to fit it with the Japanese version more. This effectively destroyed what DBZ grew up to be -- it's own thing for the West.

Bulma's hair in DB and DBZ never looked blue to me... at least for as far as I can remember, through Frieza, it always looked green. Dragon Ball Super changed it to blue.
Similarly, SSJ Blue hair looks more teal or cyan than actual blue (most of the time)... in fact, I've asked people IRL what color they thought it was. Half of them said green!

Oddly enough I never knew about Bulma's hair being purple originally, resulting in Trunks' purple hair. I always thought that the reason Trunks' hair was purple was due to the hair colors of his parents. In the early episodes of the Saiyan Saga, Vegeta was depicted as having red hair, and even in the Namek/Frieza saga, you would sometimes see glimpses of red associated with Vegeta. Combine red and blue and what do you get? Purple.
Although my main question is why Future Trunks' hair is blue when kid Trunks' hair is purple.

Honestly Goku's origins were never properly mentioned apart from his relationship to Grandpa Gohan. Vegeta and Raditz told him he was a low-class saiyan warrior sent to earth to take over, no evidence that was the case. Plus with them being away from Planet Vegeta during the destruction/Goku's going to Earth they were probably lied to about the reason he was sent there (I mean, they believed Frieza saying a meteor destroyed Planet Vegeta)

It took Vegeta a while to remember Beerus. He doesn't realize who Beerus is until the same thing that happened to him as a kid happens to him again sending him into the flashback remembering finally. He pushed it away to the far corners of his mind, I think. It was a childhood trauma which typically get glazed over until a specific trigger brings the memory back to the front of the mind. This case being when Beerus knocks him away with ease and he's face first on the ground, kicking in the flashback.

My major counterpoint comes up about Vegeta's motivations and him and the Kai's never talking about Beerus.
1. Best way to not destroy the universe via god of destruction? Don't tell the one person who'd seek him out actively... aka Goku, hence why it wasn't mentioned to him specifically until it became relevant.
2. Vegeta probably didn't expect Beerus to wake up again in his lifetime, for all we know he just chalked him up to a force of nature and not an actual person capable of being fought... thus until Beerus showed up again, well... he would at the very least pretend to be the strongest and discount Beerus because he was too strong to be considered fair.
3. Vegeta in DBS is fighting for his family and not to surpass Goku to just be stronger. He knows Goku is stronger, but he wants to catch up, presumably to protect his own family and be able to stop any threat that Goku can't stop.... presumably.

I think the biggest ret con that confuses the heck out of me is the fact that there’s not just one supreme Kai and how that ties into the life of the god of destruction. We find out in super that if a supreme Kai dies, then the corresponding god of destruction dies as well. But in dragon ball z during the Buu saga, we learn that there’s not one supreme Kai, but 4 of them. We only deal with one supreme Kai in dragon ball super because during the initial rampage of Buu while he was under control of Bibidi (not to be confused with babidi), Buu either killed or absorbed the other supreme Kais. So how does it work knowing that there’s multiple supreme Kai’s, but a god of destruction is tied to the life of the supreme Kai of their universe? Does the god of destruction die if all of the supreme Kai’s die? Or does one supreme Kai get designated as the one that the god of destruction’s life is tied to? And why do the other universes only ever show one supreme Kai when again, we know each one has 4?
