This is an interesting thought, I didn't even think about it! sorry if my comment is too big, I just like to discuss about compositional things. I wanted to sustain the common roles between the two characters throughout the animatic, and the elfaba part immediately gave me kyle's vibes, because his attitude towards cartman in principle is quite stable throughout the show, when the second one likes to challenge the first one more, using manipulations, during which he changes his attitude and play to the public, before became agressive and toxic again. Therefore, on the part with "my roomate is.."I imagined how cartman could calmly say mom jokes or the same jew, waiting for kyle’s reaction to which he would simply answer with a short "fatass", and instead of a fight, they would start analyzing their relationship. The animatic himself is far from the canon, so he can be viewed from any angle, and maybe your version is even more accurate, it depends i guess.
