I think a helpful and likely thing you could have explicitly said to the title question is: basically guaranteed you won't be playing Persona 3 Reload at launch no matter what. Not only because of FF7Rebirth being so close, but also just how much of Persona 5 Royal you have left to do on whatever streaming schedule is reasonable (plus getting the UA-cam videos of it out). At least, I'd assume you wouldn't want to be playing two games from the same series at the same time. Totally understandable.
Why is it that I always find a gem of a channel through Persona 5 playthroughs? First CrystAAHHL and now you. I guess I just magnet to people who enjoy a franchise I enjoy.
Same, I discovered Crystaahhl through Persona and now him. Found some great channels because of this! I just wish JC would do Persona more frequently, it's clearly popular on his channel.

Speaking of the last arc of P5 without any spoilers - make sure to max Councilor or you'll miss some on some extra content which is considered the best part of the game by most of the players! Faith and Justice have some extra content as well so do not ignore their confidants since you seem to like those characters too

As a new fan of the channel, I like these kind of videos. It was interesting to hear your perspectives on different games, and your reactions in these videos were great. You enthusiasm for games feels genuine, and it makes your playthroughs feel fun. Came for the persona play through, and stayed for the great content. In regards to whether you'll enjoy the rest of Persona 5 or not, there is one arc in particular that hasn't come up yet in your play through that is really controversial and ends up being the "turn around" point for a lot of people. In hind sight the arc isn't bad, by any means, if it was in any other normal JRPG it would probably be one of the better arcs and dungeons in this hypothetical JRPG... but this arc is in Persona 5... which up to that point has set a very high bar with Kamoshidas palace, and had done nothing but continue to raise that bar, so when it gets to the point where the next arc is not better than the previous arc it kinda bums a lot of people out and they get demotivated to play it. Which is a massive shame, because imo, every arc afterwards becomes so much better than anything that came before, and assuming you're doing the two confidants that are required to unlock the Royal story stuff (I haven't had time to watch all the streams) you're going to get not just the best arc in Persona 5 but also what I think is the second best arc in the Persona series (can't speak much on the rest of SMT since I've only played SMT3 and some of DDS1 outside of Persona). When the turn around arc comes JC, regardless what you end up thinking of it, you NEED to stick with the game, there's so many twists, turns, triumphs, and heartbreaks that will stay in your mind for the rest of your memory. Oh, and if you're wondering the best arc in Persona series history is Persona 3's finale from New Years-March 5th.
Hey JC! For me personally Persona 5 Royal is one of my favorite games and it's hiw u got introduced to you. I'm LOVING the content and i must say i cannot wait to see more Persona 5 content. In case you do love Persona 5 i suggest Persona 4 Golden. For me they nailed everything (Imo of course). I'm just glad you're into Persona and looking forward to more content 😁

So for the past couple of years I’ve been working in the AAA space, I was on one unannounced project for around 3 years as a community manager, got laid off early this year (YIKES, haha) but a couple of months ago I started doing design work somewhere else, should hopefully be able to say where very soon because things will make a lot more sense why my days are very busy hahaha… TLDR: can’t say yet but hopefully soon, but I’m having a good time :’)

I know I’m 9 months late but just gotta say I love your P5 stuff and would kill for you to check out 3 Reload lol. I started with P5 myself, and after playing 3R and 4G, 3R is now my favorite out of all of them, easily. The music, the characters, the story, idk I love P5 to death but P3 really just blew me away. I wanted to say that I totally agree with your take on P5 having a really long tutorial phase, and I felt like adding that P3 doesn’t really have that problem at all. Once it gets going it pretty much lets you go to do things however you want, and it doesn’t take long for that to happen. I’m actually replaying P5 rn and forgot how much handholding there is early on. Not a dealbreaker or anything, but I could see someone bouncing off before it really gets going.
i really love these type of videos and just listening to you talk about all these different games etc is very relaxing and interesting, so would defo eat future videos like these up :)
Oh trust me, you will love the last arc of Persona 5. Top notch experience ^^ I can already recommend P3R. I didn't play the original and I have such a blast with Persona 3 Reload.

I really hope you keep up the P5 content (and maybe check out P3/P4 later down the line). Your reactions have been so geniune und nice and other than quite a few other people you seem to ACTUALLY care about the game you play. I dropped Reactions so often (for Trailers, Games etc) because a lot of UA-camrs seem so glued to their Chat that they actually dont even look on their main screen for very long times and miss like... 99% of the jokes, the references or the whole story in general. Its really crazy. The worst I have seen was a reaction trio of my country reacting to a series of videos and not paying attention to the video AT ALL during the whole video. They actually didnt get basically a single thing happening because of this. So in that sense... keep it up, you seem waaaaaay better than that.

I know it's older but my favorite game of all time is Persona 4 golden and a big reason for that is the chemistry between the main cast is probably the best in the persona series if I'm being honest maybe even one of the best in gaming history also without spoiling anything make sure to finish Maruki's confidant before he leaves or you won't get to play through the entirety of persona 5 royal
I discovered your channel because of P5R. I'm glad you like it, they do have a lot of mechanics, I myself didn't 100% it in my first playthrough. I also have to say Alan Wake definitely deserves the Game of the Year nomination like damn, it was great. 🎉
JC I don't know if you've had a chance to check out Cyberpunk 2077 yet but that would be my shout! the game has by far one of the best stories/atmospheres I've ever experienced (cried so many times lol), and the DLC is also sooo good, loved the video!
Not sure if the ending of Persona 5 should affect if you’ll play Persona 3 or not. The Persona games tend to be like an anthology. There are recurring characters & elements, but for the most part each game kinda stands alone.
I mean we grown up now life changes so it’s understandable that you focus on adult stuff but JC can you do a stream or gameplay of dead island 2 that’ll be cool too see u play or dead island 1 it’ll be a good game too see u play I mean it’ll be cool if you made a second channel made only for games that you like and made walkthroughs idk 🤷🏻♂️I watched you since way back like bo3 bo2 days

Wouldn't mind seeing a P3 video series. haha And on the topic of recent RPGs I absolutely disliked FFXVI for being an overproduced bore of a game with a predictable story, shallow gameplay and the most boring MMO-like fetch quests. I know it's older but my favorite game of all time is Persona 4 golden and a big reason for that is the chemistry between the main cast is probably the best in the persona series if I'm being honest maybe even one of the best in gaming history also without spoiling anything make sure to finish Maruki's confidant before he leaves or you won't get to play through the entirety of persona 5 royal

JC I don't know if you've had a chance to check out Cyberpunk 2077 yet but that would be my shout! the game has by far one of the best stories/atmospheres I've ever experienced (cried so many times lol), and the DLC is also sooo good, loved the video!
I played the original for a bit but then dropped out of it due to all the bugs, etc. Would love to give it a second go at some point tbh
Not sure if the ending of Persona 5 should affect if you’ll play Persona 3 or not. The Persona games tend to be like an anthology. There are recurring characters & elements, but for the most part each game kinda stands alone.
The last arc of p5 is the best
