In the winter months I run CST Sludgehammer 27-10-14 all around with 1” holiday ice race studs. The 1-1/2” tread is great in snow and with the addition of the studs are very close to riding on dry pavement on ice. They put these baby auto studs to shame! Handling is exceptional and braking second to none. Give it a try fellas. Happy trails. Cheers🍺
Awesome Video guys! After a winter of trail riding with my Commander and spinning out with no warning, I have been looking for something just like this. Thx!!!!
i just received my set, and am really impressed with the traction they provide in slick sloppy conditions even without studs. i also find them to be a smooth ride, and turning is good as well. overall i'm very happy with them, and can't wait to log on the mileage next winter with them. i will be doing a review on my channel shortly showing them in use.
you prolly dont care but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my brother for the last couple of days =)
Hey AJ, You said in this video that this new tire is the only winter snow specific built tire, what about Pro Armor white outs? On my Grizzly I run 27x12x12 big Horns on all four corners with carbon fiber bead locks. We go all the way down to just a whisper of air and it’s surprising how much traction and flotation you get. 27x9 seems like a small tire. Also I don’t see chains working at all with any kind of sport riding. Studs and screws great idea. Keep up the good work🤘🏼
I noticed that in every shot where he was saying how good these are they had the ice studs in them I figure they would be about like a regular tire without them.
My buddies and I have been doing this Since 1998! IWhy didn't some manufacture come out sooner with a winter tire.. Cept i have 244 studs in each of my 26 x 10 n 26 x9 inch tires.. I have 38 scratch lines on each tire... Wish they would make the smaller tire size with more studs.
Many just use regular winter car tires in their utv during winters. 16 year olds can drive them here so the standard off read tires they come with wear fast when mostly road driven.
Have u guys tried a light truck or car snow tire on your atv or utvs i would think they would do great but I wouldn’t know because i live in Tennessee and where i live in Tennessee it almost never snows
@@captseamus that would be awesome and for me to ride something in the snow that’s what I would need to do because it’s apparently never gonna snow again where I live lol
Those studs are sticking WAY too far out. They are going to get pulled out in no time especially with a soft rubber compound. I’ve been using studs in my ATV tires since the 80s, these are nothing new.
I run 30 inch monster mayhams with atv ice racing screws first on my 2015 sportsman 1000xp , now on my reliable 2020 grizzly 700se. The places I've gone on these tires is amazing. I use my grizzly for plowing and also grooming fatbike trails and plowing dirtbike ice racing tracks on the lake. It would be real hard to convince me there's something better then the monster mayhams. Love these tires
these look great and I wouldn't mind a pair but until my v-bar diamond chains stop providing everything that these tires do, I'll save my cash, they must be a small fortune I would think.
We're still wrapping up SNOWTRAX, but have some content for Dirt we will be posting over the next little bit as well. Should start getting our new vehicles soon too so we'll get right on top of the walk-around videos as things start to roll in.
Honestly with all the innovation in atv/sxs in the last 20 years. I'm surprised this wasn't made years ago.

Great to hear!
Understand everything. You’re so awesome.

Excellent. We'll keep our eyes open for your video when it goes live.

@Jamie Carmelo Yea, been watching on Instaflixxer for years myself :)
Added a set of chains to my 570. Works great.
I added an extra 200 studs to each tire for ice racing and it’s unbelievable. 30x10x14
Oh wow, you could drive up the side of a building now!!
Thanks for the video AJ.

I’ve been using screw in studs in my Zilla tires. They work great!

Can you guys do a review on the polaris general factory custom I'm thinking if getting one but I need your guy's opinion on it

How odd. I said to my wife last week thats what I would do next winter.Except maybe try to find light truck winters.
Have u guys tried a light truck or car snow tire on your atv or utvs i would think they would do great but I wouldn’t know because i live in Tennessee and where i live in Tennessee it almost never snows
We haven't and you're right. you probably won't have much need for these where you're at. Luke uses studded tires on his ice racing car. Lots of fun.
Always throw you sxs on the ski lift in Gatlinburg and ride it down the mountain.
@@captseamus that would be awesome and for me to ride something in the snow that’s what I would need to do because it’s apparently never gonna snow again where I live lol
Odd to have this after winter is pretty much over
Still lots of ice out there. Had the Ranger out on the lake this week with these tires on and it was awesome fun.
I just use a cheap pair of all terrain tires
Then I use mud lite’s in the summer for trail riding, they are good in the sand and mud

They never fall out

More of an ice/packed snow tire, u need a nice paddle design for deep snow. Great tire for plowing and ice fishing tho 👍🏻
I am in the market for "snow" tires for my ATV. do you have experience with the paddle design and performance in 10-12" snow?
these look great and I wouldn't mind a pair but until my v-bar diamond chains stop providing everything that these tires do, I'll save my cash, they must be a small fortune I would think.
Has anyone run these tires before any good?
i have a set but i'm waiting for my lake to freeze.our snow is really late this year.
V chains. Toss them right on my 3 season mudders. Carbide studs WILL F up your concrete or asphalt driveway.
👍
Sweet now I don't have to spend 5 hours putting screws in my tusk terribytes
Best thing for winter on a ATV are tracks, not tires !!!!
Depends what you intend to use your ride for.
Not the best 🤣🤮 🤡
Are you guys back for the year already?
