    We bought my engagement ring from Ted. He was the nicest! We went back to the store a year later to have it cleaned and he remembered the exact ring he sold us! He treated every client like they were a personal friend, and his rescue "shop" dogs were gentle giants! This was a true loss for the Austin area.

    how truly horrific. she heard her husband, best friend and business partner of 30 years die, had to see and step over his dead body, also heard her dog get shot and killed. then she finds out it was her son and loses her son and daughter in law. this woman went from a happy rich successful married mother to a lonely childless widow. she lost everything she loved and knew. i cannot imagine the pain and trauma. i feel so so sorry for her

The one I never can get over is the one where the dad, who had been shot, got up to get ready for work but dropped dead after getting the paper. Can’t remember the last name but remember it’s Italian. And it was his son and the refuses to give up on her son even though it was proved he shot her too.

      I’ve seen so many of these cases where people kill because they financially fucked the selves over and they panic. Not a good excuse considering plenty of people are in the same situation and don’t murder, BUT it does make me observe people a little closer. Like, I’m poor anyway but it’s scary that people will kill to get themselves out of debt or poverty.

      @@SpijenIt always seems to happen because of greed. I remember tons of cases where the kid or kids murdered their parents for money. One that I recall also killed his sister, so that he wouldn't have to split the inheritance with her. The female children usually do it because their parent or parents are trying to protect them from a boyfriend who is a bad influence.😢

    • @Spijen
      @Spijen 8 місяців тому +3

      @@MadgeGreen yeah I totally see the pattern as well. Honestly, money can make people think terrible things. My mom committed financial fraud with my name/ssn so many times over the years that I owe a few thousand at LEAST that’s all from her stealing my info and saying she didn’t know how it happened. Recently I caught myself so mad at her I wanted to beat her ass, and I’m not even a violent person. I feel bad for even thinking that now that I’m cooled down, but that shows you just how badly things can get for people who are very violent in nature and/or are in an insane amount of debt/could inherit hella money. It’s scary, and why you should always be careful about money around people. There’s that whole case of a woman giving her friend like $30k to hold onto for her, but the friend spent it all and instead of telling the woman this when asked for the money back, the “friend” killed the woman instead. So fricking sad.

It’s shocking to realize that he’s reaction is to the fact that , they are both supposed to be dead, but mom is calling him.. he’s like “yes mom?” Because he knows something went wrong with the plan, but still knows something is up.. he’s casually waiting for her to say what is up… and then when he knows, “oh ok, moms alive, dad’s not, I can act shocked now”. hi bella! i love your videos and watch them every week you upload. i’m hoping you can cover a missing person case that is my aunt deanne hastings. she went missing in 2015 and nothing has ever been done to help solve her case. our family would love to get more attention to this and maybe hopefully receive more answers. thank you 💗

    How can someone be so evil?! These people literally saved his life and gave him everything he needed, protected him, supported him, etc. Many children could only dream about a childhood he had. Pure evil. 😔 Corey‘s 999 calls are heartbraking.

    The only thing I don't agree with when people talk about this case is saying "they adopted their killer" the adoption has nothing to do with this. He was their child. The same as if she birthed him. Their CHILD committed this. And I think it can be harmful in creating a stigma around adopted children.

    • @mariaparabello6344
      @mariaparabello6344 9 місяців тому +10

      Idk I've seen quite a few true crime stories where an adopted child turned out to be the perpetrator against their family. Maybe there are common factors regarding emotional development and the ability to bond with adopted parents.

    • @lawsome2068
      @lawsome2068 6 місяців тому +2

      Right! There are so many cases of biological children killing their parents but you don't see people saying stop having children because they may become killers

  • @hg278
    @hg278 9 місяців тому +16

    I genuinely find it odd that all coverage of this case focuses so much on his adoption. The adoption was irrelevant. Children kill their parents and vice versa, which is horrible. But the adoption doesn't have anything to do with it.

    As much as I love money, I would never ever in my life take somebody’s life for it, especially my parents!! That’s beyond sick. I pray Corey finds her peace and happiness, I can’t imagine how hard it is to lose not only your husband, but your son as well. Jackie, or whatever her name is deserve to get the same sentencing or more as Nick!! I hope her karma gets her one day. Great video Bella I love watching your videos every Monday lol😂❤️

    Wow. It deeply saddens me how Nick could do something like that to his adopted parents who gave him everything. My heart cries with Corey as she was betrayed and stabbed on their back by their adopted son and daughter-in-law. And I believe Jackie was more involved in all of these and that she should have given a longer sentence.
    My ghad. What a monsters! I hope they will be haunted by their crimes ‘til the end.

    it kills me how many great kids grow up in foster systems unwanted and alone without a family and something like this happens. how sick and ungrateful nick was to take a great, loving family for granted that SO many others spent and spend their lives wishing they had. disgusting. and to think he could get out one day... hopefully he is very uncomfortable in prison.

    The second you said they adopted a kid, I just knew it would be him. I hoped I was wrong but there was so many stories like this. Sometimes I think adopted kids don't always end up loving their adoptive parents the way the adoptive parents love their kid. they just view them as people who gave them a house & money.

    I hope Corey is okay with those phone calls being shared. It's so hard to hear her so broken. And she really wanted to be with him while he died but never got to be.
    I just wish this never happened. What a horrible call to make.
    And she went right to her son for comfort after her husband died. "I need you". Then housed him and his girlfriend until everything fell apart again. That breaks my heart so bad. She deserves the world to make up for all the shit she's had to endure.
    Also the guy who said "if you're offered 100k, you're gonna think about it" no??
    Jackie's sentencing as well, just what the fuck.
    Corey not talking to Nick but writing letters she never sends is so cool and strong.
    Rest easy Ted + pup.

    Many murderers come from awful backgrounds and, while that doesn’t excuse anything, it at least gives a context to their mercilessness. But this case? It’s so chilling that he was so loved and supported, and he still chose to kill them. It’s the height of evil.
