- Special Presentation!!
In this 50 minute Cockpit Casual special feature, you'll fly along with Bob and Steve as they circumnavigate the globe while moving 2 aircraft: a Boeing 757 from Roswell NM to Xiamen China, then a B767-300ER from Naples Italy back to Roswell. Though not originally planned this way, the Nomadic team deals with a fluid situation in repositioning these aircraft in succession, full circle, in UNDER 5 DAYS!
I can’t believe i just watched that for free
Best deal in town 😂. If only I could charge $1 🤷🏻♂️
Cool
A fifty minute Speedtapefilm special? Now this is the news I needed for the weekend!
I bet his videos a watched 100% of the duration by 99% of his viewers.
It's a treat to watch speedtapefilm 🎉
This channel is by far the greatest aviation channel out there. The cinematography combined with the calming music and not to mention youre fantastic narration never fails to indulge me. Hope and cant wait to see more content!
Appreciate that!
couldn't have said it better myself. LOVE this!
Could not agree more. Some of the “out the windshield” views absolutely make me stop in my tracks…. Stunning. If only FS2020 could get to that point…
I second those comments! You guys do a great job!! ✈️
Roger that!
The narration.....the stories told.....the music.. ...the editing. This is more than UA-cam, excellent job Steve and Crew
Thanks Scott
Very well said! You took my words!
They're back!
Yes - yes we are! Hope you liked the long format Jawed!
Wait are you the first ever youtube guy?!?!
Its the guy!!!

Yes, he is the co-founder of UA-cam and the first person to post a UA-cam video.
Not sure How I haven't found this channel! This is easily one of the top aviation channels.
Wow small world! 5ET, I volunteered with this 757 and the CRJ700 at kids day in LGA in 14' This was the first 757 to get painted in the new colors, it was quite the surprise that day. This really is full circle. The 757 is missed by many. Thank you for making these fantastic videos.
I was fortunate to fly the 757s in this video when they were brand new at American. What a treat to fly a brand new airplane. AA made a deal with Boeing to trade in the RenoAir MD-80s and purchased 20 brand new 757s in the early 2000s. When AA started to draw down the 757 fleet it identified 36 airplanes that they would keep for hot and high operations and naturally these newest 757s made the cut. They were operated until covid accelerated their early retirement. It is nice to see these relatively "new" airplanes continue in service instead of being dismantled. Great video, thank you for sharing!
👍🏼
Oh my lord. I am a ful blown AV geek and just came across this channel. I think I'm gonna stay up all night and binge watch all the episodes. So detailed with great narration and visuals, this channel is truly a hidden gem.
Appreciate that
Me too… just discovered this channel and after watching the first Video, I subscribed to the channel.
Never have I done such a thing on any aviation Channel…. That speaks volumes!
When an aviator like bob still gets excited about a window seat view, it legitimizes my nerdiness about it
We never tire of it - it’s either in your blood or it’s not…
Bob’s “lost” passport has to be the most relatable thing ever. Good to know even bob’s backpack isn’t organized😂
😂
He’s notorious!! It happens on 1 out of every 3 trips. Seriously
@@CockpitCasual haha
@@CockpitCasual Why doesn't he have a designated -and labeled- pocket in his bag/pants at this point?
@@h8GW because he’d misplace that too!
Guys........this is incredible, I'm an aviation enthusiast for a long time , finished 12 hour night shift a few hours ago...cant stop watching !!!!!!!
It’s always gonna be a great day when a new Cockpit Casual drops!
Plz make a new tape, lovely cinematography and entourage!
I have only two requests:
1) Never stop doing those videos. (A lazy sunday, I´m flying my a320 simulator and watching this. It´s more fun)
2) Keep the GREAT sound track. They´re excelent jazz musicians.
Don’t worry! I can honor these requests 👍🏼
Favourite UA-cam channel now
Absolutely inspiring! Right down to the jazz session at the end. Fantastic!!
One of the top videos of ever seen on UA-cam of all my years. I waited a month or two to watch it. It’s too good.
The bespoke jazz absolutely completes these films. Wonderful stuff.
As someone who typically doesn’t board a flight that lasts any longer than an hour, I just can’t get enough of your videos. Steve, you’re a great storyteller. And the music! Please don’t stop making these!
Thanks Jonathan!
Everything about this series is brilliant. The music, the voiceover, the cinematography, the story, the characters, all of it. Thank you for taking the time to make it and for sharing it.
This was a nice way to start my Sunday!! As a flying Crew Chief in the Air Force, I got to visit many of the places in this video. Never in a 7 day period though. Thanks for the memories!!!
Cheers man! Yeah we pass thru fast!
@@CockpitCasual do you like the a350? Or 787 still better ?
@@markjackson5333 I don’t fly the 350 yet, but as a passenger, I think it’s a better product.
@@CockpitCasualquestion:How long is the runway at Guam and is the airport a civilian one or does it cater for both civilian and military?
This is the greatest avgeek channel on You Tube, not only the filming but the fantastic over-voice by the guys, truly epic.👍
Great to see the majority was up for the full 50 minute video! Can't get enough of them TBH ❤
Your content is amazing steve!
Great jazz, too.
What was the piece with the cello?
Bob looks like a great guy to fly with! You guys did an amazing job!!!
Personality is everything. I have a small business and hire for personality all else can be taught. You guys obviously know this golden rule.
There is just something special about your content...the music, and your gr8 style of commentary....keep it up!
Awesome awesome video. I’m a pilot with Atlas. Flown the 747/757/767 and now the 777 for several ACMIs. This video is basically my life for the last 16 years.
Been trying to get on with atlas for last year
Hats off to you guys, being a truck driver in the UK,and on limited driving hours,I’m amazed how you manage to do the hours you do . Love the channel, more content please.
Another outstanding account of a ferry pilots life and challenges.
Couldn't have started a Sunday in a better way! As always a great video - storytelling, narration and music is absolutely perfect.
Your guys’ commentary & back and forth… could listen to that for hours! You guys are hilarious! Keep the videos coming!!
You have such a gift for film editing and narrating
Thanks!
Got my reminder set. Will cast it to my 65" tv for maximum effect 😁
You have some of the best aviation content on the internet, definitely enjoy seeing what you put out even if it isn’t frequently. Worth the wait always..keep doing what your doing !!
Thanks Kyle!
@@CockpitCasual I’d love to travel under the context of “work” like you, I’d imagine ferrying planes doesn’t feel like a job rather a never ending adventure. It’s nice to get a peek into that sort of life for the average person.
@@kylecross1364 well - like anything else, some days I don’t want to get out of bed and deal with it - but having done a lot of crappy jobs in my life - this is DEF the best
@@CockpitCasual well you let me know what day that is and I’ll be an hour early !
This was one of my favorite cockpit casuals so far. It’s always the highlight of the day when a new cockpit casual comes out. Can’t wait to see more of the Westwind.
What a gem your channel is, I'm just amazed by the quality of the videos! I'm probably subscribed to far too many aviation related channels and I'm amazed just how much better your videos are. The camera work is gorgeous and the jazz music oh so soothing. It feels like I'm sitting in a bar with an old friend, listening to his stories.
The music choice for the part of the video from Xiamen to Naples was really special. The dirty guitars perfectly encapsulated how you guys just have felt at that point. No proper sleep for days while flying an airplane.
These videos are just such a breath of fresh air. No over the top narration, no click bait titles, just someone passionate to tell their story!
I have no idea how my husband came across this or how we havent seen your videos before, but we were very into it, and super surprised to hear you even say Xiamen, let alone fly to it! We were able to show our babies the little island they were born on from an aerial view! Especially nostalgic for us and special to see our little island and airport that we were lucky to call home for four years.
The rest of the video is super exquisite, too- love the constant background music adding to the experiences.
Very cinematic; what an adventure. Well done!
Incredible content as always, thank you! SO AWESOME that your father's band makes the music!!! That's sick.
Steve one my my favorite parts of your videos are when you guys are just hanging out BSing on the ramp. Reminds me of my days as a LST and bsing with pilots when they came in wondering when all of us would finally go home. Thanks for taking me back a bit.
Lots of BSing on these trips!
That was an awesome 49 minutes! I appreciate all your hard work putting this together on top of all your guy's flying. Cheers from CYYB.
I love, love, LOVE the '75s. That shot at 5m 30s is just lush
By far one of the greatest aviation channels on UA-cam. Informative and relaxing to watch. Awesome to see Steve is also an ASU grad.
Keep doing what you are doing, we all love it. You guys are like the Green Berets of the aviation ferry world, very cool and the hard and tiring work doesn’t go unnoticed. 👍🏼👊🏼
I love your Cockpit Casual and am always excited whenever I get notification of a new episode. You and Bob have the coolest job's in all of commercial aviation!
Luv the in-depth analysis of the catering and then no eating…
Fantastic video Steve, thank you so much. 787 is a great plane but 747 still the best I have ever flown in. Flew with the SAA 747s to Miami, New York, Taipei, Hong Kong, London and Munich from SAA. In those days passengers could visit the cockpit. Was privileged to spend 12 hours in the jump seat en route to Taipei.😊😊👌.
Bob and his passport was hilarious😂😂. Keep up the good work👍🇿🇦
I love the jazz music on this video. I had a copy of the trac to listen to while I'm driving in the car or to play at home while unwinding from work. It is soothing and pleasant. Your dad is a wonderful musician, and I hope you tell him that sometimes I play your videos just to listen to it.
A Speedtapefilm special featuring my all time favourite aircraft with RB211's... could my day be any better?!?!
50 Minutes of Nomadic Action ? Yes Please ! Still without having seen it completly yet, i know for a fact that it will be a superb Video. Thank you Bob and Steve for taking us along on this Adventure :)
Best aviation content I've come across. I absolutely dig these videos. The music goes with it beautifully. Thanks for making these!
Thank you Steve. Greatest aviation channel around.
As usual as soon as a new Cockpit Casual drops I drop everything sit back and enjoy. Thank you for another great episode. Music is superb too.
this is the best aviation channel I've everseen, as I'm house bound now. It gives me an exit into the universe, with travel memories of the past years in my life.
My new favourite channel. Brilliant video Steve
Thanks Shaun! Big compliment coming from you!!
WOOHOOO. Brilliance. Weekend made. That music, the narrative... thank you :)
Glad I voted for the straight 50 min vid !!! Love the new music experience !
Thanks! Expect more like it going forward
The creative behind this is good.
I am not even a aviation nerd but I am digging this..
Great music,narration,everything is so good.
Could have easily watched another 50 minutes. As ever thanks Steve!
Bob's casual "gonna be ugly when someone busts minimums...auto pilot off...." made me chuckle for some reason...
One hell of a trip!!! Best I’ve ever seen! Tnx for sharing!
Wow! Loved every second of this. 50min, you spoil us sir.
Hey guys, I have been watching your channel for a while, I love it, today I turned my Father on to it, he was a senior CAP on the 747-400, 37 years of service , retired # 2 on the list of over 5,000 for Northwest, he was also a check pilot for 1/2 of his career, he started in 1963 with North Central, out of ORD, he was lucky at the time he got in and when he got out. His name is Gary Shutty, I fly often and in the past when I would drop my Dads name I was shocked how many people knew him.
Thank you for this content, you guys rock!
Awesome! Hope he dug it!
Nomadic's "Boeing Bonanza" 2023 Edition. Thanks for taking us around the World with you.
The alternate title haha 😂
Loved the pen in the smoke detector to reset it. Nice to see a pilot actually learn some stuff from an engineer
On this side of the business we work very closely with the engineers. Have learned a lot, and continue to keep several on speed dial as we often have to troubleshoot in the field using video calls etc to attempt to get things moving rather than waiting days/weeks to get someone on-site in obscure locations! We aren’t your typical 121 pilots for sure.
Another amazing Speedtapeflim Steve!! I could watch these over and over!!
Best one yet! This film was perfect.
My first visit here loved it, and the music is really something special. I though a few times while while watching the video how cool and unique the music was.
Another perfect video proving that coffee is the most powerful thing in the world, made even better by meeting the wonderful musicians who provide the character track - applause to everyone!
The Godfather music playing while you were eating at the seafront cafe in Naples would have been just the cherry on top after finally getting to rest in a bed
Showers, pizza, jazz and boeings. Great combo. Loved it.
What an awesome job 👏 despite the long hours without sleep 💪
I always love to watch the cockpit casual videos, as always the music is impecible!
Amazing Steve, 50 minutes of brilliant entertainment
A documentary! Perhaps my favorite so far. Cheers!
A++ as always!! So great to see Steve Sr as well. That tune at 18.11 is perfection. Thank you for doing these films, they are so special.
Steve, thanks for your hard work on these. They're a joy to watch.
It’s truly my pleasure! Love making them
Wonderful music coupled with first class narration makes the most interesting trips in aviation truly special.
By far the most interesting flying videos on UA-cam.
Really enjoyed the Jazz.. Flights were a bonus 🙂 thanks for sharing this.
Man, it’s only been seven weeks and I already miss the 756 like crazy. That having been said, I’m totally falling in love with the triple. I envy you two the variety.
This is my new favorite channel. I absolutely love how this video was put together and the background track
Finally got to watch this Steve! Epic man, such a long ass trip! I felt for you guys! You were right, lots of Bob! Classic. Thanks for sharing.
We got to see the maestro and his amazing crew behind the coolest music accompanying the coolest video series on UA-cam! Just the best of the best 👍😊
Pure gold, loved every bit. It really captures the raw assents of ferry life and the comradery. Not to mention the production value is epic. Thanks guys!!!
Thanks Alex! Glad you liked it
Can never go wrong with some cockpit casual!!
Emmy worthy Steve…..love everything you put out. Keep it up!
Looking very nice. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this fantastic long edition. Immediately watched non-stop and again very pleasantly voiced. Wonderful choice of music again, too!
Great content guys & admiration for you skills on flying so many different type of aircraft back & forth around the world.
Cheers from Steve in the uk
Every time Bob looks over his glasses at the camera, I feel like he’s the coolest International Man Of Leisure
Love the nod towards Sr. and the Band. Such a sweet part of this channel. (And studios without good coffee should not be trusted.... Studio Owner here.)
Haha nice! Thanks!
I would pay what ever to be able to hang with you guys. Having fun and flying. Shit, I should have joined the Air Force out of High School. This is by far THE best AVGeek channel I could ever find. Bravo
I love your videos, do not stop making them. It feels almost like a documentary. Outstanding job. I am getting my pilots license right now and watching this keeps me motivated.
Thanks for the video! Like the long all-in-one format more than when it‘s split up into parts
Far out Steve and Bob, you nailed it....outstanding effort yet again and another brilliant record of your travels. This is the World's No'1 Aviation UA-cam Channel..
What a great surprise with a 50min video. This together with a lovely Gin & Tonic will certainly fulfill my Friday evening😉
i love these videos so much. One of the only channels i can watch a vid start to finish!
The best aviation content on the web!!! Love it! Thanks for another great video!
For a glimpse, you both kinda reminded of Maverick and Goose. This channel is by far the best av channel I've come across.Never saw this side of pilots- flying arliners very casually. Thank you for taking us with you guys around the globe ❤
AGAIN I STATE, THESE VIDEOS ARE PURE QUALITY! THANKS STEVE. AND YOUR DAD'S JAZZ BAND ROCKS!
Unbelievable trip? 4 day tour! Luv that jazz
