Don't forget kids, fish paper comes in adhesive and non adhesive versions. That long middle piece is probably best done with non adhesive fish paper if you ever plan on taking this pack apart otherwise you'd have to cut 16 pieces. The way Jehu did it using non adhesive on some parts and adhesive on others is actually a really good idea.

Nice work. For making a 3.5 kwhrs pack. And the parts for making them that are 16 cells, plus buss bars and the board. And final part the bms would be in total about close to $1100 for 3.5kwhrs in DIY. The advantage here is that the cells can deliver more current for your applications and inverter types.

@@CobraR99these are under $700 without BMS (but with balancer). You could have 7.5kW for $1400, prebuilt can’t touch it unless you want used cells or remanufactured unit.

Thank you so much for breaking down the benefits and costs. It would be awesome for the nube's (myself included) if the use-case and cost/kwhrs breakdown were stated before every project. Having experienced people do the breakdown first clarifies the "why" and saves possible mistakes for the rest of us. Thanks for making the effort. That is good leadership.

@@The6packstevelithium polymer cells are basically a foil/jelly roll similarish to how cylinder capacitors are made there is an electrolytic gel from what I gather wrapped into the "foil" but the cells are compressed and so there isn't really room for it to move around after manufacturing (isn't liquid sloshing around like in a lead acid battery). In short the orientation *shouldn't* really affect the cells health or longevity

@@GregOnSummit I am reading.. a 5th time.. you said $1500 for a 14Kwh battery. Just cells. Got it. What battery is that? I wasn't trying to be an ass.. I was genuinely interested in what battery for about 2x this one for just the 16 cells.. provides 14Kwh of storage? I know the EVE 3.2 280ah cells.. for 4 are about 700.. so that puts it up around 3K for a 14Kwh battery.. and those seem to be about the cheapest I've seen for that size storage. So again.. link to the battery that is half the price of the EVE 280ah cells.. but same 14Kwh storage.. I'd like to maybe look at buying it.
